I had the best and worst experiance with the beta glass spacers last night.
Took a small bud, broke it up just a bit in my hand. Thin layer on the bottom, 2 jacks, i more thin layer and a spacer, holes down. Draw resistance was minimal due to not using ground bud. Hits were killer and seemed to last forever.

Now the bummer, the spacer moved up a bit while in use. when i opened the bowl after finishing, it snapped the top of the spacer off.
I say get em up on the site for sale. they are ready.

Should I have any issues cleaning residue from the oven using a q tip dipped in iso? Getting ready to sell my ascent so I need to get it as clean as possible.

Lots of guys have done it, AFAIK nobody had problems.

Another idea is "Magic Eraser", a commercial foam 'scrub pad'. I tested this, it handily removed most of the deposits (I had to fight the stuff in the corners some) and did no damage to the glazed surface.

It turns out the Magic Eraser is pretty cool for lots of things and is IMO worth looking into for general use. The basic product (an industrial adhesive foam) is sold under different names, and can be bought very cheap in bulk:

Oh yeah man those things used to be the only way I could keep white soles on shoes looking even remotely clean so I will give both a try. This thing has never really been cleaned before so there are deposits in the corners and the oven is stained pretty badly.

Get your Ascent heated up (around 300F), then turn off the oven. Take toothpick and dip it in some ISO then gently pick at the corners to loosen the gunk.

Thanks for the tip. I will pick up some tooth picks tomorrow because that seems like it will do the trick on those little parts by the notches that im assuming are to keep the oil cans off the bottom of the oven.

Your flowers went out in the mail today. I wish they were trackable, but I used 2 stamps, and a return address label, so I'm pretty sure they will make it there with no problem.

I am sorry I didn't get them out until today's mail. I fell and hurt myself this weekend, and been off my feet recuperating. Hopefully you guys will get them by this coming weekend.

I second that on the Magic Eraser. An FCer suggested that a long time ago and it works great. I just tore off a tiny piece and used a toothpick or tweezers to scrub away the gunk. My oven came out nice and clean. Meds taste better with a clean oven and mouthpiece.

I really like the spacers that Davinci came out with. The glass flowers work great but the spacer is easier when away from home. I've been just using the spacer while using my Ascent here lately.

I've been using one glass spacer. I put a bed of herb on top of that, then put a big glass flower on top of that. Works pretty good even when I'm out running around.

Hey Vicki don't worry about some gargantuan glass flowers. We will enjoy experimenting with them whenever they arrive. You just take of yourself. I'd rather have a healthy and active Vicki than a glass flower any day!

The magic eraser is really great for cleaning the vaporizer.
i use them all the time.
Vaping is a lot better with a clean oven

Question : Have been using heater auto-shutoff as timer for sessions ,eliminating monitoring

via external timers ~ was working like a charm utilizing 1- 20 min triggers ~ recently reset it

from 20 min to 14 ,but still cycles @ 20 ??

Has anyone else experienced this phenomenae ?

they kept my davinci for more days than they did the first repair and they send it back saying nothing was wrong so no repairs that it worked fine! it didnt even turn on for me, i should get it today lets see if it works! i hope it does

Ya ,1st thing tried ~ worked thru '2' dif presets @ 10 & 20 secs ~ now frozen @ 20 no

matter what preset time :-(

It's not enough of a game changer to send in for repair ,but if it ever produces a more

debilitating malfunction for repair ,techs could can spec it all out

i got my ascent back it works great so far!
also i recieved those glass flowers they work! i get more puffs for my bowl

and also i want to buy eds TnT's wooden 14mm stem, but the inside of my glass stem is broken, like its not there, will it still work or do i need a inside stem?

Yay melamine foam! I'd always wondered but only recently discovered what those "Magic Erasers" really were. They're great, but the Mr Clean brand are obviously way overpriced - the offer you linked to on Amazon for 100 is about what they get for TWO of the Magic Eraser brand sponges at my local supermarket.

i think the glass flowers help, i ran dry, so i used the avb i had and stuffed as much as i could and the flower on top(forgot to put in middle) and i got at least 5 good draws from it (i was surprized!) but both of my stems are broken and the device does not work as good as it used to, what do i do now? or does the device work the same way and only the taste is affected? i dont mind the plasic taste as long as its not harmful, i also want a 14mm water stem but i heard you need the inner glass stem as well(after must searching i didnt see a single person who took out the inner stem)
