I personally think the Pax2 is pretty heavy hitting now that I have a mighty and can compare them each. The Mighty is awesome but the pax2 gets me medicated just as well. I really thought the mighty was going to knock my socks off but it didn't, it's just another great vaporizer.
I feel ALMOST the same exact way, the mighty is better than the pax because you can take unrestricted big rips, but the pax has shorter but bigger 'burst" of vapor...that being said, try cranking the mighty up to 385 and giving big 10 to 15 second hits...that shit is amazing!

Yeah you explained it perfectly well. The pax does give big burst of it then kind of weans off and gets less dense, the Mighty however I've noticed doesn't dark brown like @adam_baumm mentions. Maybe something is up with my new unit? When I get home I'll use the Pax at level three and set the mighty to that temperature to compare the avb.

Color of abv is not be all and end all, but its a pointer. somehow its apparent that the extraction is more uniformed and complete with the mighty. Its all brown and devoid of moisture AND charcoal.

Also if you ride the temps in your session right up to 205 or 210 C my abv is very dark especially on a fine dry grind. Lower temps is full extraction with dried out brown adv.

Edit.
But what I should always add as a disclaimer. I am happy to have purchased this pax2. Its a nice design and great build. It does have a good vape signature, its capable of getting me ripped and it has stealth attributes that are too notch.

@adam_baumm I get home in like 4 hours and I'll try them both out again like you mentioned in the mighty thread and see what results I get. However I feel the pax avb is darker than the mightys' even if I put the temperature at the highest level on the mighty and at level 3 with the Pax.

EASIEST METHOD...Is to vape a bowl in the mighty on full temp, after all vapor is gone, put the avb in the pax and see if it still gets clouds...old trick I learned in 'Nam (or from other fc members):myday:

So far I haven't found a case for my Pax 2 that I have liked but I think I just made one. I got out the needle and thread with a little velcro. Very well made and it was free.
Home made may be the way to go. I don't know how low profile you want to go, but I like the Domino case from Vatra (www.vatra.com). It holds the pax 2, a small space case, and tools perfectly.

Has anyone seen or tried the vaprcase? I 1st saw it on Vape World's site and then went to their website - www.vaprcase.com. It's a protective sleeve for pax...

On closer look, I think it's only available for pax 1, and not for pax 2.

I'm waiting on this to come in. I've seen others that have gotten his cases and are very happy.
He puts a few up every so often, but they sell super fast. You can contact him and he'll shoot you an email with the new auctions, then you can snag one before the auction goes live.

How well do those cases work when the pax is in the sleeve? If I keep one of @Ratchett's plastic caps on the oven end of the device it, being airtight, prevents any airflow; with this case, if it is smell proof and therefore airtight, I imagine you'll have to take it off completely each time you want to use the pax, no? Just curious in case it is an issue and prospective buyers aren't aware of it.

It's a form fitting case, I don't believe anything beyond a skin will be able to fit in it as well.
I don't mind sliding it out to use it. I'm just super clumsy when I'm fishing stuff out of pockets. My Pax has already taken a few tumbles that way.
As soon as this comes in tomorrow, I'll grab some pictures.

Do you have the plastic caps? I want to order some, but wanted to make sure they are truly smell proof before I spend a fortune on them...but I think they will pair nicely with my cloth case

So with the PAX 2, is there a way to remove that reclaim other than wasting it with a pipe cleaner? As someone who uses the old PAX daily, this has always bugged me- seeing a pipe cleaner covered in golden goodness being wasted.

A fortune? Dude, they're $5, I paid a total of $8.32 with shipping.
That was a little online sarcasm, but I would want to order more than one pair...I am a stoner after all! Seems like it will be the perfect solution to charging at work too

I was wondering the same thing and have asked it, with no clear answer other than cleaning it with cotton and then vaping the cotton once it dries out...but that method is not for me (at this point)

Cleaning it with cotton and a thin piece of wire, perhaps? I have organic 100% pure cotton i use for my mechanical mod ecigs that I'll try cleaning my PAX with next.. Once i find that super thin fishing wire.

@WakeAndVape You can reclaim by lubricating, if you can even say that, the inside tube of a bic pen or any pen that allows you to take it apart with alcohol and use the cylinder portion of it to insert into the pax and all the reclaim collects inside the plastic cylinder and you can then cut the pen and get the reclaim or use a safety pin to get it out and keep reusing the same pen.

Hehe, sorry Wake, I don't pick up on sarcasm well online :)

For reclaiming, I'm curious if swishing/leaving a used pipecleaner in etoh/iso will further dissolve the material off the pipecleaner and into solution....but then you may risk getting fibers and other crap from the pipecleaner into the mix, so maybe strain the solution before evaporating?

This works. I always strain at least once before evaporating. It's usually two or three times.

I bought 2 pairs of caps from @Ratchett , they came quickly and have no smell.

First time putting it on
oMjIjP4.jpg
its very snug, hard to get on. But once it sits on the p2 for a bit it comes on and off easily. I am glad I have them. So far I am just putting one in the mp end and it seems to have cut out the odor. Here is a pic of the pax 2 wearing its beenie.

I can confirm that the ABV in my Crafty will continue to create big clouds/vapour on the PAX 2, however the taste is not really enjoyable. I feel like the PAX 2 can go on forever until the ABV is black; even when it is black, it still produces clouds.

Yeah especially at 420 degrees, the Pax leaves the avb almost black lol
