Hey guys, trying to decide between the Crafty and the Mighty and decided to enlist the help of the FC community to help me decide! Currently I have the E-Nano for home use and the launch box for on the go, I plan to sell both to finance one of these, I love them but have some major VAS and really want one of the new S&B portables. I usually vape at home but when I go out with my vapes, by myself or to hang out with friends, I almost always bring a backpack so I can bring my grinder and a small Jyarz aswell. So because of this it makes me lean towards the mighty since size won't be much of an issue and i'll get a lot more battery life. But I've also been thinking that I could get the crafty, and buy a backup battery, keep that in the backpack to recharge if need be, and still have the option to carry the crafty in my pocket if I don't bring my backpack. So I guess my question is, if you have a mighty do you think its to big to pocket? And is the extra battery worth the size? And those with a crafty, do you think it has enough battery, and does a backup battery work for you? And just which do you guys think would be best for me? I keep going back and forth and can't decide. Right now I'm leaning towards the mighty but I can't decide... Please help me out it would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
TLDR: Trying to decide between a mighty or a crafty + backup battery. Usually vape at home but when out carry a backpack and vape with friends.

I was really surprised at the size of the Mighty when I got mine a few weeks ago. For some reason i had visualised something much larger. It fits in my jeans or pants pockets np even with my moto G celly in there with it!

Really? I have a Moto x so that I know the size your talking about haha. I keep hearing conflicting reports but that definitely put the mighty much higher in my mind! Thanks!

The option to use the cord while being charged is such a big plus for the mighty.

They both do....only the mighty let you use it when battery is 100% drained. The crafty battery has to be at least 20% power before you can start using it via bypass

I would recommend the Mighty unless you absolutely must have the smaller form factor of the Crafty. Also, Mighty has a nice car charger as well, and being 12 volt has a lot of power options you may not be thinking about yet. I use Mighty at home and when traveling to hotels or family homesteads. If I'm going down to the beach or out to a restaurant or something I grab my Crafty but I mainly use the Mighty.

I recently obtained a Crafty and have about 8 hours on it and can say I'd like a little more battery life. I charge my Crafty after each session to keep the battery topped off in case I want to go out with it. That being said, I have never had an issue with battery running out mid session. As said above, if you want longer battery life, go Mighty, but if you need Crafty for stealth then the battery life is definitely manageable. It sounds more like a Mighty might better fit your needs, but in my opinion, you can't choose wrong

If you are in any way a moderate to heavy user, get the Mighty. I would only recommend the Crafty to light users.

Isn't this bad for the battery? I thought it was good practice to let it discharge most of the way before recharging?

It isn't the best to always keep the battery at the top of a charge, and I do occasionally do a full discharge for the sake of the battery. I believe it is most optimal to keep a battery between 60% and 80% charge with an occasional full discharge, if I remember correctly about Li-ion batteries. Doing a full discharge every time would not be ideal treatment for the battery, but I doubt you would notice a change in battery life for awhile.

The 60-80% thing is for long-term storage. Modern lithium ion batteries mostly are not affected by daily use in the way that older batteries would die if you didn't follow a strict regime. About the only thing that is bad for a modern battery is to be completely drained and left that way.

tl;dr: Just use it and don't stress about it. In two years replace the battery.

Just wondering

It is bad for longterm storage. If you use it regularly it's not as big an issue.
