Pros: Ease of use. Full extraction. Awsome clouds

Cons: Battery life.
Ain't that the truth! I ended up selling my Crafty. Just doesn't store enough juice to be any real use to me.

Also after the first bowl or two the battery is low enough to slow heat up time a noticeable bit!

Still loving my Mighty though - which is a good thing since it is my only working flower vape right now lol

You and I both! Not to mention the rapid wear and tear on the battery since it gets so hot, resulting in slowing warmup speeds over time regardless. After 3 weeks of heavy use, my Mighty is still the same as brand new.

Imo the crafty is a true portable. It's awesome to take out with me and get legit clouds on the go. But it is not a "daily driver" or "session" vape imo. For that I use a nano. Same great clouds, no worrying about wearing out my battery. Even the mighty will eventually wear out. That's just the nature of rechargable batteries.

My two cents on the battery and Mighty/Crafty debate:

Mighty sure kicks ass but for those in a non weedist country (talking more about social acceptance than law) it may rise too much questions if used in public so it may just not be an option in all cases... just too big and the screen gets too much attention to be discreet, that's why I chose Crafty.

For home or private use though is a killer but so would a Volcano or a Plenty and clouds quality apart imo these seem to be more long lasting choices due to the failure ratio of portables atm.

Guess in the end it mostly depends on your mobility/power/discretion priorities, social acceptance of weed in your routine, budget and personal circumstances.

In my case I end up carrying a fuckin hardware store with me at all times cuz I panic being left without juice, two or three portables and the powerbank so I'm not precisely saving space but prefer it since can use all of them without arising uncomfortable stares, which I sure wouldn't be the same with the Mighty. At home I use a Volcano but I'll prolly end up selling it and getting a Mighty instead when my child grows older, unless I find a way to conceal it or something better comes in the way.

Until the development reaches a point in which we can have a big load capable 100% convection long battery lasting pen sized vape (looking at you grasshopper) there's only a limited set of priorities each vape can satisfy and for so it's more of a custom approach rather than a broad style product. What will we do with all the VAS when that day comes?

A final comment for S&B on this one. Was it that difficult to make the battery swappable guys? I'm guessing half of your service returns were due to faulty batteries so it would've already saved you a lot of trouble...

It is for me. I mean it dosesn't has to fit everyone, but it fits at least some people just right. I just charge it at all times, and if plan on 2+ sessions outdoors, then I carry a small powerbank with me. Supposedly charging as often as possible is actually better for battery life then running full cycles. I get 3+ sessions per charge, and I rarely vape 3 sessions back to back. If I really need to medicate I put a dab in my load. This thing is pretty universal!

BTW 2.06 seems to be much bomb-ier then 2.05. Previous fv used to quit on me during a session much more often, now it doesn't happen at all. Maybe the other one was badly calibrated as well...

Small update. Had a bunk crafty after about a month. S&B sent prepaid postage and had a new one back to me in about 4 days. Impeccable. The replacement was a full kit. Extra parts, yay!

Has anybody in Europe got prepaid postage? I've read about US a few times and wandering about it, have a friend with a conflictive unit interested as well.

In may case they sent back a w&t I asked them for included with the return, free of charge even when I had requested payment details for it, as well as the full kit. Had paid my side of the delivery so I believe it was a proper compensation. Was my same unit repaired and guess they changed the battery and upgraded the firmware. Didn't get details but my hour count was reset and it shows 2.06 fm now. From start to end it I recall it was like 12 days total but I live some kms away from Germany.

I would consider my experience on the good side but they took 3-4 days to take a look at the unit after having it at their door, either they're having too many returns or they have some quite long procedure for serviced units, dunno...

Also has anyone from Canada had prepaid postage? And does anyone know of any decent smell proof case (that ships to Canada)? Sorry if I'm repeating questions, I've been scanning for a few days and didn't find what I was looking for

I just got my Crafty off of puffitup, Randy was super helpful and the firmware version is 2.06. I started with the Air and moved onto the e-nano. Now I got the crafty and I think I am set for a long while. The nano replaced the air and now when I go hiking I can bring my crafty. It hits like my e-nano and is much much preferred over my Air.

E-nano hits that good? I've been curious about them lately, if it can rip that's good to know.

Anyone had any trouble when hooking their crafty up to a battery pack? I bought an EasyAcc 15,000mah battery pack from Amazon and it's not playing nice...

When I plug the crafty in it vibrates, flashes green/red/blue, turns off, repeats, over and over again... I've tried the 2.1A port and the 1.5A port with multiple devices but only the crafty has issues with it. The crafty charges as normal from a USB port or the wall charger. Have I just wasted my money?

I'm on firmware 2.06 if that makes any difference.

Edit: Right, I've worked out that if I plug another device into the 2.1 port and THEN plug in the crafty then all is well. I can even remove the other device and it carries on charging the crafty. But if I just plug the crafty into either port with no other device plugged in I get the light/vibration show. Still not right is it?

I've had no issues at all using an Anker battery pack. Charges quickly. My firmware is 2.04.

@Mr Mellish I figured that would be the case... I don't know what to do. It works for literally everything else except the one thing I bought it for. They're gonna test it and it's gonna work for them if I send it back for a refund.

I unplugged my phone and went out of the room for 5 minutes and came back to a dancing/flashing ctrafty so it seems the only option is for me to plug my phone in and leave it in every time I want to top up the crafty. Excellent.

Ugg...I have seen the flashing blue and red heater error but what is a flashing red/orange? This a dead unit now? If so I am irked that a device that retails for 400 cant seem to last, let alone hold a charge. S&B better start a trade in program if the batt's are going to die this fast. Mine did not even last 3 months!!!

red and orange light... what to do?

Go in the app. Get the address to Storz and Bickel Oakland. Ship just the bottom piece, proof of purchase, letter explaining what's wrong. If you need to call them, think about calling them when they're at work first thing in the morning. Press 0# to get through to the operator. Wait 2-3 days, be ready to receive and sign for a package from Storz and Bickel USA with a brand new sealed unit.

I was an iOlite fanatic for years, bought the Wispr with hard earned money; an improvement... it had a little more kick, a few tweaks and you could definitely have a potent session with the Wispr. You didn't have the kind of restriction free draw, or control over the temperatures. My next pack, I'm going to leave it at 200 and whiff it for a solid 30 seconds, maybe have a drink alongside. Then I'll take it through it's paces milking it to multiple fat drags.

A personal Crafty pack, with temperatures done right can give you effects everything a desktop can do.

I know some people feel that dicking around with the temps drains the battery faster, I agree but you need the control to maximize your pack. Pop her right back on the charger, get in the habit. The units' worth the lil extra work.

So coming from where I've been with these portable vapes, iOlite to Crafty, it's the difference between driving in a chevy, a cadillac, and a jaguar. The one thing I dislike is the Crafty's aesthetic is similar to the grill style of the iOlite. I think the most unique vape aesthetically was the Wispr, it was a unique semi-retro looking, but simplistic form.

The hand feel of the Crafty is like holding a PS4 controller or a PS1 controller.

Thanks for the great response. What could i use as a proof of purchase?

Hi everybody, I am a new crafty owner and new FC member. I'm not sure if this concern has already been raised but I'm having trouble with airflow on my crafty. The air flow through the cleaning unit is fine but when I attach it at the base unit, it is restricted. I'll be in the middle of a session and all of the sudden it won't produce vapor. Everything seems to work perfectly except the airflow is restrained in the middle of my sessions. It helps when I adjust the bottom screen but it's only a temporary fix. Oh and this happened two sessions after my first cleaning of the unit. That's when the problem started. Any advice? I appreciate any help I can get.

Seems to me like you may need to remove the screen in the bowl, clean it very well, and underneath. Make sure the air intake holes are clear and nothing has got down in there. It sounds like your bowl screen is dirty. It can be clogged even though it may not look like it.
