You and me both! Still tempted when I see a good design on DHG though.

I might pick up a D020-D at some point, but I already have so many others, and I just picked up a replacement mouthpiece for my old sheldon six shooter. I'm sure it will be perfect for super low resistance hits and is quite sturdy, which I believe is the main selling point of the D020s.

That's not quite the updated model yet I don't think. That model just has a straight neck instead of the bent one. The new model has a different perc from the looks of previous videos.

Can't wait for the straight fab to be released and reviewed! If things go smoothly I'll definitely be picking one up for my collection.

FC-1000 ordered 5-12-15 arrived today 5-16-15. first impressions and a quick function demo. should be said my expectations were not high nor were they low, mostly indifferent as I continue(d) to consider acquisition of the sovereignty straight peyote pillar full size or the mini. I ordered my FC-1000 fully prepared to wait weeks. in fact today when it arrived before 1pm, I was pleased no doubt, but I wouldn't even inbox it until ~10pm. to the point, this is not an ether driven, sure to be rave review. just my personal and honest reaction. if nothing else, I appreciate visuals so here's my contribution to the Internet.

If you don't have much glass I strongly suggest using the cash you would have spent on the sovereignty and going on a buying spree at DHGate. You'll probably still have some left over for a cheaper custom piece and by then you'll have a better idea of what you'd like. I've bought 15 pieces now with another 4 in transit soon and I'm pretty sure it's still under $1000 total. Plus as long as they function well you can resell them at cost without too much trouble.

How hard is that to clean? That is my primary concern with pieces like this is that the process just to empty the water takes forever. Are the holes big enough to properly drain or do you have to keep rotating the sucker around to different angles to eventually empty it. I love the FC-186 just cause it is so easy to dump.

I hadn't thought about that. I don't think I would dab in it, if I dabbed... ;)

as easy to clean as any other piece I've owned since going vapor, I just do the standard hot water/isopropyl and draw through as well as blow outwards. it's a large piece but besides the matrix it's all relatively open space on this one. I cleaned it twice already, was painless

Lol man, I gotta thank you so much for posting this because I ordered the FC-707 (same as 1000 but different mouth piece location) and the video actually really made me want to switch to the world of vaporizers. I just ordered the E-nano tonight and my FC-707 should be coming tomorrow or tuesday... can't wait to replicate this.

Also, thank you for confirming that it's easy to clean. I had originally chose the FC-186 and 187 because I was worried about cleaning the pillar. Got them at such a low price/high quality output that I just had to order the pillar and now have no regrets!

I'm really liking this so far :)
It's a bit big for dabbing with regularly, but its fine once every now and then :)

I haven't cleaned it out yet, I'm going to give it a PBW wash in the next couple of days, but I can't see it being too hard to clean.

I don't have that exact piece, but I've had a similar ash-catcher. Few things
1) The bottom of those percs appear open-ended. This is very common for DHgate glass piece with that style perc. Basically what you'll find is the perc fires through the huge bottom holes, and not the slits on the side of each tube. The result is a chuggy hit.

2) The neck where that huge tree mounts to the female joint is fragile, especially if there's no bottom support connecting the perc to the bottom of the can.

My ash-catcher of similar design met it's demise when it started to fall, and I caught it with my hand before it ever made contact with the floor. The force of me catching the piece was enough to snap the perc right where it meets the female GonG joint.

I'd look at a different piece if it were me. :2c:

I am really pumped about this one, its not to complex when it comes to function so as long as the craftsmanship is on point , this should be a winner!
