I'm loving my bubbler and my herbie.

I've found that adding crushed ice is by far the most effective way of diffusing and cooling. The ice forces the bigger bubbles to break up and get squeezed through the super cold water between the ice.

The end result is not losing much flavour to the water and getting super smooth dense vapour with ease. So smooth that my brother (a one year herbie owner), gave it a rip and didn't realize how much he had gotten from just a few puffs. He told me today how the high was intense like he used to get with bong hits! Haha

I'd really like to add a bubbler into my Herbie setup. Right now I have a MFLB Orbiter. I'd considering buying a new one (Orbiter is really small, so adding ice is 100% out of the question), but I don't want to go broke doing it (Hydratube is like what, $300+?).

Any recommendations for some good glass so I can use ice and an adapter?

Mine is a home creation from an old vacuum bottle. The bottle is fairly large so I have no issues adding ice. All I needed to make it was a rubber stopper, some stainless tube and whip tubing.

It really makes the higher temperature vapour tolerable. Plus it's a good way to see if you're getting any vapour or not. There's something about visible vapour that makes the experience. Might be a placebo effect but I find the vapour is tastier and the high is better when it's thicker.

Check out the cheap glass thread. Tons of great bubblers there at very affordable prices. I have only got a d020 currently, but most people here that have used them seem to like them fine.

I would start just with your orbiter and either very cool or hot water and see how you like it.

Nachos Rule
I use Oregonglassblower's 18/14 reducer with a 1/4" cut of 3/8" ID x 1/2" OD between it and the oven outlet acting as a gasket.

From that I use an 18F/14F adapter connected to a 14M whip adapter (which fits snuggly into the Herbie valve) and can run bags. I clip the whip adapter to the 18F/14F and use a short 18M mouthpiece (or just pull from the 18F end of the adapter, OR pop it on a waterpipe).

An 18mm 90° (or the more acute example) vaporizer adapter attached to the 18/14 reducer on the oven allows a 3/8" x 1/2" whip to be used which I usually connect to a water pipe with the appropriate fitting.

My bowl is a spinner.

Dude, you get the clouds I've been chasing after with Herbie for a long time now. Can you describe your grind and how much material you use?

Also curious how many times you can fog out your bubbler from a bowl?

Thanks much.
Do you get the same thickness of vapor with all your strains? I purchased two top shelf strains and one gave me thick clouds that milked my UFO bubbler like above and the other produced some wispy vapor. And I tend to get thicker when I pack less. Virtualpurple, I know you are looking to milk up your bubbler.

Fill your herb chamber to the flare and turn it to 430. You should get nice clouds of vapour.

Remember that higher temperatures mean more cannabinoids are being boiled at once so you get thicker vapour. Cooling the vapour also makes it more dense, so a bubbler helps. Finally the more material you vape the more surface area you have for cannabinoids to be released.

I know that a full bowl might be more than you need but if you're looking for clouds you need to go big.

Usually 445°F packed up loosely to the flare with a medium fine grind. I use a shot glass and scissors as a grinder. Wait about 5 seconds to preheat with fan assist on before inhaling.

Can milk the FC UFO around 3 times.

I have been told by PlanetVape that you (@Herbalizer) are no longer selling your accessories to Canadian customers. I have an email informing me that you prefer not to sell to any Canadian distributors and will not fulfill online orders that need to be sent here. In fact, there is no option to even ship to any place other than the United States. If this is the case, where do i send this thing for a full refund?

I'd like to hear something about this too. If I can't get any accessories then I will be returning my product as well. @Herbalizer

Thanks for informing us here of this news. However Id say if you want a response and in a timely fashion, I'd email the company directly via the email address available on their website.

I did that immediately. Been a couple of days but no response. PlanetVape just says it's Herbalizer's fault and they have no choice. I asked them to take back the unit and deal with the company themselves, and let me get one that I have the option of using, and they stopped answering as well. I'll wait a few more days for a proper response from Herbalizer before I get pissed and slam them on every available place their name is mentioned online. that being said, i'll never give planetvape a dollar of my money again. massively irresponsible and full of shit with their "officially licensed distributors" nonsense. act like i should have expected this with a $900 vape.

Sorry to hear about your issues with PV .
What do you mean by ,
get one that I have the option of using ?
What's wrong with the Herbie ?
or is it just the future accessories concerns and you
just want a refund ?

@SkrACHIN -- I belive your anger towards PV is misplaced. There is nothing they can do if Herbalizer won't supply them. They certainly could not have seen this coming and I can't think of a reasonable way for them to fix it. You can't very well return a functioning unit.

Anger towards Herbalizer makes sense to me. But if they are truly in a power struggle, they will most likely remain silent to all of our frustration. You could go after their reputation, but I don't think it will earn you a response. I wish you well with a shitty situation, but I fear you may find no peace fighting them for a while. I hope I'm wrong.

You know, I don't have a great answer for that. Even though I live in a MMJ (Now recreational) state, there are no dispensaries in the state and whatever you buy is generally just whatever is for sale so there is very little certainty as far as what strain you're receiving. For sure I've ended up with batches that seemed to produce stronger clouds than others.

I have definitely found at times that less is more with the Herbalizer. But as far as milking the bubbler goes, the Herbalizer is currently in last place among my vapes. My Haze, Ascent, Flowermates, and Underdog all produce thicker vapor in my D020. Using Herbie with fan assist I find that my lungs are ready to bust well before my bubbler is fogged out.

That of course, does not mean that I don't get properly medicated from the Herbalizer, but clouds give me some visual satisfaction and some seem to get it with the Herbalizer so it definitely intrigues me.

One day I may have to do a video comparison of my vapes to see just how they rank without trying to go overboard with controlling the variables.

You are getting just as medicated with smaller clouds because the Herbalizer is such a good convection vape without too much conduction. I have found though that if I load up a fluffy bowl of herb and then gently press down to compact it some that I get thicker clouds with the herbalizer than if it is loose. Everyone here seems to be doing better with looser loads except me. I use a SCS grinder and have for over a year and my bud is around the 62% humidity with Boveda packs. I find that very loosely filling the bowl all the way up and then gently compacting it down to half a bowl gives me the strongest hits at any temperature. Also, I find that the third hit is always the best as far as potency.

The thing I have yet to master is oil in the Herbalizer. I don't find the stainless steel pads to work all that great. So far the best approach was to stuff a bowl full of hemp fiber, run the fan assist to warm up my oil container so it is easier to pour, and then literally pour the oil over the hemp fiber on top. I did that and me and my friend together got 3 long intense sessions vaping that off. Nothing leaked through but after about the 10th time at 445 hitting the hemp fiber/oil it started to taste burned. I don't know if something is burning off the hemp fiber or once you have nearly exhausted your oil it is the impurities left behind getting vaped off. I need to run a clean hemp fiber through about ten 445 fan assist cycles to see if it burns or alters the taste at all. I had a pretty good amount of oil in that filter.

Well, I am pleased to say I have now read through the entire thread.
Having only been using the Herbie for about a month I can say this thread has been very helpful.
My device works flawlessly and delivers the medicine as effectively as anything I have ever used with such ease and efficiency .
I am a raving fan!

I agree with your assessment. I have only used it for a few months and it has never let me down. Can't see anything replacing it as my daily driver.

I can't use cannabis at the moment but my Herbie is still on my desk staring at me every day. Yesterday I cracked her open to check out the condensed vapor accumulated in my whip and whip connector lol

Speaking of.....maybe it just me but I just feel that there must be a better way to collect it all rather than washing in ISO and collecting after. I used to just cut open my EQ whip and scrape with a guitar pick lol but I don't have 5 feet of herbie whip lying around so that's not an option right now
