Hey guys, I thought you would probably be excited to see the latest pics of the new Storm Vaporizer Pen mouthpieces, here they are!

storm-mouthpieces2.300.jpg
storm-mouthpieces.300.jpg

We have designed these mouthpieces ourselves, and they are exclusive to the Storm brand. Unlike the standard Storm mouthpiece, they do not have the restrictive metal piece inside the mouthpiece- instead we have moulded the rubber so that a screen can be inserted. This improves airflow massively- you can now rip on the storm like you would on a Pinnacle Pro! The glass part is also removable for totally easy cleaning.

First, the glass mouthpiece:

Storm-Glass-Mouthpeice-CU.300.jpg
Storm-Glass-Mouthpiece.300.jpg

The glass is thick and solid, and does not break easily. The flavour is really improved, and the draw is so much easier. Now, the Water Tool Adapter:

storm-water-tool-adapter.300.jpg
storm-water-tool-adapter-cu.300.jpg

This is a 14mm ground glass-on-glass adapter. Again the glass is removable, and it has the same design with improved airflow. I turn the temp up to purple, and vape through my vertical bubbler. It also works very well if held into a downstem on a traditional bong.

Finally, the improved airflow standard mouthpiece:

storm-improved-mouthpiece.300.jpg

This is an improvement on the original design, it still has the metal piece, but as you can see the small airflow holes have been replaced by one larger hole, with a screen inserted from the mouthpiece side. Again this is a huge improvement on the original, but is not quite as vast a difference as the glass mouthpieces are. We are offering a free upgrade to this improved airflow standard mouthpiece (shipping not included) to any Storm owners who have the original mouthpiece, just email us for details of how to claim.

I am really impressed with the way these pieces have turned out, I am especially proud of the glass mouthpieces as they make such a huge difference!

Well done vape fiend just received the new rubber mouthpiece, water tool adaptor and glass mouthpiece. I've only tried the glass mouthpiece so far and its a major improvement. Nice session with nice clouds through the temps. Now getting that nice flavour that I think is truely lacking on the original rubber mouthpiece. I have actually put my storm in a drawer awaiting the new glass mouthpieces and now this vape is more than useable.

I've owned a solo I have an arizer air now and this storm and for the price the storm performs.
It won't replace my air but the storm will become maybe an out and a about vape when you might not want to risk your 150 quid arizer air out of the house. The storm has a place in a collection.
Flavour is v good, the air flow with the new mouthpiece is v good and one of my favourite things with the storm is the abv colour and also consistently vaped all the way through.

Don't get me wrong not an arizer air killer but a nice budget vape that performs.

Will try the water tool adaptor and concentrate well later.

EDIT also both the glass mouthpiece and water tool adaptor come in their own cardboard storage boxes and it all fits in the storm storage box which is handy.

Where can we buy this in the US. Is this a new product when did it hit the market? And how much is it. Thanks.

For now you can only get it from VapeFiend.com in the UK as far as I know. It's their product.

Don't think there are any US distributors yet, although Vapefiend says he's interested. You can buy straight from vapefiend.co.uk for a little over $100 w/free shipping. One yr. warranty and if you're shipping from across the pond, he says he'll add a freebie (extra bat?) on the return.

It's not 'com' but 'co.uk'.

Another way the storm is different to the air is I feel you have to vape the storms chamber in one sitting (I might be wrong) where as the air you can pull the herb from the oven and use a black rubber plug/cap to place on the end of the stem to save it for later.

With the storm you could dump the contents out when at home to save for later which could prove messy or your hitting it in one session.
Still early days with testing. But need to try small amounts in the storm to see how it fairs. I'm hoping it works as well with how ever you fill or how much.

Im Sure vape fiend do international free posting?

The Storm hit the market in February 2015. We are looking for US distribution, but we do ship to the US ourselves too as some have pointed out.

At the moment we have far better distribution in Europe and Australia.

Free if your basket is over £70 in total.
I have found that small amounts work beautifully in the Storm personally!
Thanks so much for your kind feedback about the new mouthpieces, they certainly make a big difference.
They really show off the power that was in the device all along, in particular the water tool adapter: the milk you can get going with glass is astonishing, check out this video of the storm with a Mobius Matrix bubbler:

We have some more great new accessories in the works too, I will keep you informed when I have more to show you :-)

2nd session with the storm with the glass mouthpiece and I'm really liking it.

Next on the list is the water tool adaptor I have a bubbler ready to try with it I got from dh gate. What temp are you getting that level of cloudy vapor in that video? Can you get that on green or is that on purple?

you have to vape the storms chamber in one sitting
You could take a couple of hits at the lowest temp setting and shut it off. Turning it off after hit #1 would still get you hit #2 if you're timely. You don't have to load much either if you just want a hit or two. Just because you don't really 'feel' the hit or exhale enough vapor to be visible, that doesn't mean it's not effective. This vape doesn't hold a lot, like similar sized vapes (haven't used the Air). I'm used to the capacity from using an FM and DaVinci before that. While how much you load is a consideration with how much and how long you plan to vape, since any enclosed heating chamber can waste herb if you're not careful, it's never been a big deal for me. Most often I'm surprised at how little I've loaded, for the number of hits I've gotten (with any pocket portable this size), after dumping the ABV. I would recommend that any pocket portable with this design and size be used as a session vape- plan to vape however much you load before shutting it down. If you just want a little bitty high, load a little bitty amount. You may feel like you're vaping plain air with a tiny amount, but it will do the job.

I'll be getting the 2 new glass adapters and the improved mouthpiece. I expect these pieces to eliminate the weak point of the vape, which is clogging too quickly. If they're as effective as Vapefiend says, this should end up being a really nice (and affordable) pocket vape.

check out this video of the storm with a Mobius Matrix bubbler
 That's what I'll be using for filtered hits.

I can't imagine what else you'd need, but bring 'em on.

It's on purple. That's not me in the video, personally I usually use a vertical bubbler, and you get good flavour too, even though it's through water.

But the mobius is great because it shows what the Storm can do with a big bubbler like that. The guy in the video told me that not every unit can cloud it up like that.

Haha thanks @VapeFiend.com - I'm the guy in the Video

I was planning to use the STORM with a vertical F-bomb style water tool when the Glass adaptor first arrived - before then I'd just been jamming the rubber mouthpiece into a 14mm joint -

But I couldn't resist trying the new GonG out with the Mobius Clear bubbler, which has a pretty big can... imagine my surprise when this little beast completely filled it with thick vapor lol. I used the second highest temperature, 'purple' (listed as 210c I think) which is about the same as setting 5 on my Solo. However 'green' (200c) was a little wispy in the Mobius - but it will fill the D020-d with no problem at all.

The new screens, GonG adaptor and glass MP massively improve this vaporiser imo. Draw resistance and taste are both improved greatly. Can't go wrong really - I'm pretty much in agreement with @*plainlazy*.... It's not an Air killer,

but it is a completely brilliant budget vape that feels solid in the hand, has swappable 18650's, good flavour, Glass and a discreet form factor.

Had a go late last night with the storm and water adaptor and d020-d bubbler. Started on green temp and got wispy vapor. Put it up to purple and wasn't instant fog in the bubbler can but after a few attempts managed to fill the can. Maybe was the wrong time to try a small amount. But the potential is there I can see it.

Tried small amounts in the storm with the glass mouthpiece and got good results too. Just not plooms of vapor with smaller amounts (so far) same with the bubbler. Still early days in testing but for the moment the air and e nano have taken a back seat while I work the storm out.

One thing that is fact, wether its wispy or plooms of vapor (I've had both with the storm) the effect is still there. Will be my Dailey driver for a while for sure.

Can't wait to see what is up next from vape fiend.

Would like to talk about my experience with the Storm vaporizer and Vapefiend.

Ordered the unit the day it was launched and tried it right away. After reading a previous post in this topic I realized it may have an insulation problem as vapor was leaking out of the holes and usb plug when pushing air through the mouthpiece. Sent an e-mail asking about this and got reply telling me to send it, which I did.

A new unit was sent as sent as soon as the faulty got there. I was too paranoid atm and due to some fast lazy testing on my side and I believed it may be faulty as well. Being mad I sent a kinda rant e-mail to vapefiend which was answered like two hours after, woha that's fast response.

They asked me to make a few checks, which I promptly did, and I was obviously wrong, the insulation was fine so sent an apology. Have to say the flavor is noticeably better yet I still have to try the glass mouthpieces which ordered same they day that were launched :p

Had a Crafty serviced to manufacturer 2 months ago so I have a recent experience to compare. S&B customer is top notch. They sent a wear and tear set for free, the unit repaired and with every accessory after sending just the heater, can't complain.

I also have to say Vapefiend provided as great service and care, even returned the battery I sent with the unit, a new battery and all the accessories when I had just sent the vape. I also have to note that they were very patient and professional when dealing with my case (specially with my rant) and couldn't be more happy with the outcome, customer for life

A fast word about the vape itself: Can't get more for your money. Discreet, sturdy, concentrate capable (have to try this yet), isolated air path, good temp range, switchable 18650 battery, water tool usable out of the box (with the stock mouthpiece)... very hard to beat even for much more expensive vapes. The taste at 180º is very nice for a conduction unit and the clouds you get at max let you take unbelievably dense hits, even dense enough to pull big clouds with mouth to lung hits. My only cons are the rubber/silicon mouthpiece and it's restricted airflow which will soon be corrected.

Now I can finally enjoy this little fucker, more coming as soon as I try the glass

if you havnt had a PM from them already your be better off contacting vape fiend via their website. reply with in 2 hours usually.

Still enjoying the storm. i've gone back to the Air briefly to remind me of performance and i must say yes the air is better (overall) but the initial flavour hit on low temps i reckon the storm wins IMO and ATM with the material i have.
i also like how the scent of your material comes up through the glass mouthpiece as its heating up. some might not like it but i do ha.
The air this happens too but not as much.

Also tried the storm out with my bubbler again the other night and went straight to white heat temp and OMG then is was foggin up my can on the bubbler. but no nasty flavour just plooms of vapor.
really does excel in this field IMO.

last few days ive had a change in herbal material and tried it out in the storm on temp setting blue rather than my default green setting and was producing lovely clouds via the glass mouthpiece for a while too. Probably the best session yet. so material can effect cloud production.
will try red next to see if theres any vapor to be had that low down the temp range.

small amounts do work fine, the effect is received but with out plooms of vapor.

when going up the temp scale the vapor does become harsher but if you let air in with the vapor at the same time as your drawing (slight hole in your lips while toking) this helps with the harshness and smooths it out some. im sure you guys know what im talking about.

The storm's main body (battery compartment) does get warm to touch not hot just warm, where as the Air not so much. no biggy but might come in handy if you go out in cold conditions as a hand warmer lol.

ive tried the capsule with some e liquid and it does work, warm vapor compared to a e cig, which some might like. but it does work, so hoping to get hold of some CBD e liquid to try in it or some thc e liquid once i get some from friends. it wouldn't replace a e cig but the option is there and it works.

i have just received some CBD wax which i have tried in my dabstar (another vape fiend product) and had good results, havnt tried it in the storm yet.

the storm has been my main vape for about 2 weeks, i havnt run back to the air as i thought i would.

Biggest herbal impact on cloud production in these conduction session vapes I've found is its moisture level and grind consistency. Medium-fine grind and dryer herbs seem to yield biggest clouds in my experience

i used the same grinder i always use but yes the newer material ive got my hands on is definitely dryer than the previous. but grinds finer in the same grinder. so win win.

ive got a MFLB finishing grinder but havnt used it for a while. you get a better vapor using it or getting a finer grind but seem to go through material quicker so a little trade off.

@VapeFiend.com would it be possible to stick a shorter tube and a 18350 battery? It's not much difference but it makes it more pocket friendly and should last a few sessions; guess I have too much free time :science:

Sorta like picture at bottom, doesn't screw and haven't tried to fire it but I can make a fix if you promiss to send me another one if I wreck it. :haw:

Wouldn't try something like this on a big wattage device, should be enough for 10-15 watts but dunno if this thingy peaks higher.

Provided it's the same heater as the X-Max V2 Pro, from the user manual you can read: 2200mAh 10C, meaning your battery must be able to output 22A continuous to be safe. If you use a smaller capacity battery it means you will need a even higher C-rate. For instance if your smaller cell is just 1100mAh you would need 20C. I let you do the math, but if your cell can't deliver the amps it will at best get hot and swell, and at worst you'll permanently destroy it... shouldn't explode though, but be safe please.

Googled a bit and read Effest 18350 is 6.25A max discharge rate so it seems a bad idea. Guess I have to learn a bit more on electricity to walk this path anyways :hmm:
