I've been using it with my w9tech pro-tank2 all day and it's fired each & every time I've pressed the button:tup: & the button pressure is much improved imho, I don't have to Mash the button like before to get it to fire consistently. :rockon: A.C. on its way to my collection in the near future I see. @lonelyhero , which button assembly came with your 8? I have the original pre order top 8 Bonus Kit. The original button assembly gave me trouble as of late, G sent me New replacement assembly and it's working Awesome. I just dialed it in all the way, then backed out 1/4 turn& it's been Great! Using all day and so far no adjustment necessary:rockon:

@THC SCIENTIFIC Since you seem to be in a sharing mood, what's up with Duction and Vection?

Duction and Vection share lots of parts or i should say internal parts with the Iris and other vaporizers, so making one has to be made sure the other works.

Its a little bit of a hassle at first but saves us money when we use interchangeable parts. Saves us in the end.


where and when did you get your 8?

is the gold screw in the button of the 8 suppossed to need adjustment alot mine seems ot go off at least once a day if im using it alot

the gold center pin moves yes, you can tighten it down with the second nut below the first one, but it is designed to move if the cartridge is removed and installed a lot.
 
I think he means the contact screw inside the button assembly, not the adjustable top center pin; I have the same issue, where one day I'll be like "I'm the man, 8 is operating at 100%!" And then all week I have issues and need to pull the end of my button off and futz with the screw's position. Often I just give up and go back to my Persei.

i got it runnin great again by backing it out all the way and then screwing it in 1/4 at a time till it worked right i was just wondering if thats suppossed to need adjustment periodically or if theres a way i can get it to stay in place

the whole 8 is mechanical, adjustments are needed sometimes, we might add a secondary nut inside just to lock it in place if that's the case, have to look into it.

Hmm so it would appear the Okeanos is a larger diameter than the Kiss AC?

If so that is a bummer. I had been imagining a potential v3 upgrade kit which adapted the top of the Okeanos to the lower body of the Kiss AC. While the possibility of using the Kiss AC coils in the existing Okeanos is still heartening, the ability to just screw it on to the Kiss AC base much like Centauri mode would be way slicker.

Hey everyone, long time reader / user first time posting.. I recently got the 8, It feels solid but like many others I have to mash the button super hard to get it to work. I adjusted it and it worked for a day and now it's back to how it was.. Am I doing something wrong? I mean I've had it 2 days and I'm really starting not to like it. I'm regretting selling my Persei to a friend when the 8 came in.. To the point of going online to order another persei only to find the only colors available are red, teal, and purple... Soo my questions to you guys are A. What's the deal with my 8? Is it always going to give me these issues? Because if so I don't think I want it anymore. And B. When can I order a Black persei?

As a side note I don't mean to bash w9 in any way they generally make amazing products and have always been good to me, just frustrated with my 8 I guess..

you dont have to order another persei, your 8 will work just fine may i ask where you got it? if from us when?

Hey Gary, thank you for the quick reply, I ordered it last Friday I believe from you. I have had it 2 days. I did call in and was told I have the updated / upgraded one if that helps.
