i purchased this vape right before the stealth came out. After a small cosmetic defect, I got the stealth black. I have used it for 2 sessions and never again. I do not think I am using it correctly and assume it's user error, especially from all the good reviews here. I have the stealth black. I tried the convection screen and can get wispy hits on temp 4. Whenever using the lids on the can, it tasted like silicone (submerged overnight in coconut milk) I purchased straight from Haze.

The left port on the battery charger doesn't work. So I need to individually charge on the right side. I bought a lot of accessories, extra cans and eds 14mm water attachment. Can someone give me a dummies guide on using the haze? Appreciate it.

to me it sounds like somethings wrong, if nothing else but the charger... I would contact Haze about it.
I've never found any sort of odd taste with my cans and dont chase clouds or use the screens really so wont be much help there... tho the 1 time I tried the convection screen idk what I was doing so... lol but yea I would contact Haze

Hello fellow Hazers!! I can now say that cuz I just got my Haze a few days ago. Was a lurker while I did my research on the Haze, now I am official. :D

Was using a lot of the portable pen vapes with oil/wax and finally decided to spend the $$'s for one that does both herb and oils. And thanks to this forum and thread, I pulled the trigger.

Gotta some questions for you guys n gals:
- how would one know if the Haze they have is v 2.5? I mean just by eyeballing it? I've read through 17 pages out of 89 and did not find anything...yet. Also did a search on the thread came up with nothing.
- also tried the can method with herbs, setting at 4...did not notice much vapor. Then again coming from the pen vapes, I think I should not expect the clouds to be the same. Will try screens tonight but am going to hate cleaning them.

You guys ROCK!!! Ok, time to continue on reading through the rest of the thread...71 more pages to go...ha ha ha

Have a great weekend everyone!!!
From what I've read if you email Haze the serial number of your Haze they'll tell you what version it is. Strange that your not getting much vapor with the cans? That's actually all I use now. I load about half way and tamp it down before firing up the Haze on level 3. After the lights stop flashing I wait another 30 seconds and then hit it. When the vapor starts to thin out I crank it up to 4. The hits were so thick I was coughing up a lung so now I draw slowly and stop after counting to 5 or 6. I'm actually surprised the clouds are so thick but then again this is my first vape. Hope it works out for you.

Do you use the lids? I prefer lidless because I'm not traveling or I can keep it horizontal. Do lids help the vaping process?

I will but I keep telling myself to wait for version 3 and upgrade.

What kind of grind and pack are you guy's using in the can lidless? I fine grind and full pack and still pull bit's through with the lid, So i don't use the can's for dry much anymore.

Thanks MainO for the tips. I will email Haze with my serial number and try your method. I guess I was just super exited (more like impatient) and just took a hit after the LED went solid. How long does it usually take to get solid LED with herbs on setting 3? I will need to do some more testing/tasting this weekend. Many thanks again!!

The lids aren't just to keep material in the can. They actually direct the air flow into a specific path. The air come up the sides of the cans into the hole that is exposed to the sides, through your material and out of the front hole (which is isolated from the air flow on the sides) into your lungs. I would imagine with no lid the air flow is less concentrated resulting in less vapor. Just my opinion. And I also do not taste the silicone from the lids.

My batteries are certainly not working (I did not take off the plastic). I tried charging on right side and battery won't get past the first bar.

A little tip when using oil, go small! This vape reminds me of the VM in that Im not super impressed w/ flowers but concentrates kick ass! Of course compared to Log's and SSV/LSV other flower vapes don't stand a chance IMHO. I mixed a bunch oil with abv the other day and got lifted, but I jammed it onto a can and now my Haze is gooey in the chamber and air path. Whats the best way to clean this mess? TIA

I clean the oven and air path with damp ISO qtips. Then I use a damp pipe cleaner and run it through the little hole from the oven to the air path.

If your oven became gooey, I think you may have put too much concentrates in there. I exclusively use my cans with dry/oils/mix and my oven still looks brand new.

I clean my haze when I notice my reclaim going above my first oven hole clogging it up. Then a 5 min cleaning and it's good as new.

Comparing this to logs isn't even fair lol. Apples n oranges.

A lil bit, lol! I was pulling out tiny dab size reclaims with my glass mouthpiece. The combo is the way to go, I agree!

I'm guessing mine is going to be at least ten min, ha!

No problem bud!

Oh yea idk if this needs to be said but when cleaning the path from the oven to the main air path select the corresponding oven with the switch on top to open the path up.

Nd burn off the ISO

Edit was gone or I'd have added this to my last post on shipping of my Haze from Massdrop.

Tracking showed UPS origin scan at 9 p.m.. But horror of horrors, it was being shipped by the dreaded UPS/USPS :mental: Surepost :freak:. Said it should be here next Friday but that's impossible with this sucky service IMEO.

Surepost is horrible to my location. Past exp makes me think it is USPS who screws the pooch. The problems all began when our local good-guy oldtimer-stoner-postmaster was replaced with some snotty stuffed shirt. The locals hate having to deal with the jerk, but I digress.

I was unaware but just learned that I can (and just did) upgrade to regular UPS ground for $3.50 using my UPS MyChoice account. Tree-fitty :rofl:to remove possibly the world's worst shipping option?!? Done! Tracking instantly showed the upgrade. UPS ground is reliable to my corner of the goat trail and the delivery guy is great.

Tracking says it only improved the ship by one day to Thursday but the truth is more like 1 to 3 weeks reduction. Well worth it to me. I'll let ya' know if changing boats midstream sinks the whole thing...

Instead, hopefully I'll be hitting some fresh shatter with my new/batteries-charged-overnight Haze in an actual week. :leaf:

Glad I didn't wait 'til Monday: Did some babysitting with Massdrop today and finally got a UPS tracking number on the substituted grey Haze. Let's see... looks like MD is in San Fran :peace:... I doubt their warehouse is there due to the ludicrous cost of real estate. Maybe somewhere in CA? Gargled it and can't find out where their warehouse actually is. Anyone know where MD's warehouse is?

If it actually ships today... might make it to CO on Wednesday. :hmm:

I ran out of GD tincture 8 days ago and the asthma & allergies are just starting to kick my ass again now. Get here, Haze! I need to medicate. Well, and get baked too.

Edit: Just heard back from Massdrop. Their warehouse is located in New Jersey.

Yup. Their warehouse is in Jersey. They ship via UPS.

Next to UPS, USPS is one speedy service! Toll about a week from Jersey to Mass.

The positive thing about it all was MassDrop informing me they were shipping mine early.

I take things as they come. At least I have my hands on. A purple Haze.

@Haze Vaporizers would Titanium all-purpose cans be more effective in lessening heat transfer time; pre-punched screens fitted to prevent particulates being sucked up when used with kind?

And, a small female plug added to the Haze unit to allow charging directly, without constantly opening and closing the battery door, and taking out, and re-inserting the battery. This repeated action will eventually cause wear on the hinges, and latch; handling the battery may result in drops, and damage.

I hope these observations, and suggestions, are helpful.

Thank you for providing the vapor community with an awesome Haze!

I feel like adding a charge port might add a lil too much space to it, with the port and connections to transfer the power to the battery.

as for Ti cans from what I know about ti (only from GH stuff lol) it takes longer to heat up so would have the reverse affect

lol I mean a charge port would def be a great addition if it can be squeezed in without taking up too much space and again I don't know much about metals, thats just what I understand from waiting for my grasshopper

Talk to the Beard
Got my new Absinthe Green Haze 2.5 a few days ago, and I think I have a good enough handle on it now to give my first impressions. I already own 3 portables - an MFLB, Titan, and NO2 - but I think the Haze is in an entirely different class.

First off, it's got a great form factor - small and solid feeling. Easily put in a pocket. For the amount of functionality this unit provides, it's remarkably tiny. I'd even say it is more portable than my MFLB since it's completely self-contained, and with the 2 separate ovens that can be pre-loaded in covered cans, it is by far the most convenient of my portables.

I also purchased one of those fantastic 5-can containers from @Ratchett at Delta 3D studios, as well as a couple of extra cans, and now I can go anywhere and have 4 entire loads ready to go. Wow, just wow.

But how well does it vape?

Having read this FC thread, I went with the closed cans with herb on level 3 (390F) for my first try. Fairly quick heat up time, and quick to start vaporizing. The vapor was quite thick, but yet not hot. I loaded it full, but not packed, and I think I got about 8 good tasting draws before it started tasting a bit burnt. This is almost exactly the performance of my NO2 on 390F - and it's what I do during the day when I need a quick vape for pain and don't want a leisurely 10+ min session. 5 minutes and done.

Next I ran the second can at level 2 (375F). Took a few extra draws and maybe an extra minute to get it going, but once it did, it vaped for a deliciously tasty 8-9 mins. Lighter vapor, but very smooth. This is what I want for those more laid back sessions when I have the time to appreciate the vapor. Towards the end, instead of tasting burnt, it just starts getting very wispy, so I click it up to 3 (390F), and get about 3 good clouds, and done.

I also tested out the convection and conduction screens, and agree that they are not as robust as the cans. They work, and were quite tasty, but not as much vapor. In any case, having filled, emptied, and cleaned all the dry herb options, those little covered cans not only seem to work best, but they keep the main unit really clean. Since the cans work best, and it was the cans that really led me to the Haze in the first place, I am quite pleased.

I haven't tried it yet, I am planning on getting some wax. This would be my first vape that handles concentrates well, and based on comments here, I think I am going to like it :D

Other observations..

Battery Life - very very good. I did 4 sessions yesterday on the same battery and it was still going when I switched it out for the 2nd battery. That's really all I needed, and I suspect it had at least 1 more session in it.

Load size - I think you give up some load size when using the little cans - probably 20% less than what you could fit into an oven without the can/cover, but the convenience more than makes up for it. I find it to be IDEAL for my purposes. I vape for pain throughout the day, so I want small but frequent sessions, and usually by myself. I have shared a session with my wife - who usually wants me to fire up the second bowl for her in the same session. Fortunately, with the Haze, that is no problem at all

I would not call the Haze a "group" vape, but unlike my NO2 or Titan or MFLB, loading a second bowl with pre-loaded cans ready to go, means that I CAN get a small group of 3-4 people well medicated with minimal effort. It might take 3-4 cans, but I can do it. (It's surely not like a desktop, but if I want to get 10 people baked in one session, I just pull out my Rise and a few hoses)

Ergonomics - Opening the oven door is super easy - but it does take technique. It's one of those things that's simple once you figure it out. Those little cans are so friggin little that I wish I had smaller fingers with nails...heh. The included tweezers work well, but so do fingers with a bit of practice. I also need to change my setup a bit to load the cans more easily.

The battery door scares me. If I don't get it pushed in right, it can pop open, and did pop open a couple of times before I figured that out. If I had to pick a single point of potential future failure, it would be that battery door. If it didn't have a 10 year warranty with an excellent company, it would worry me.

Cleaning - Everything cleans easily with the exception of the central airway - that takes some delicate effort, but I don't think it will need that frequent of cleaning. I have already run into the "sticking mouthpiece" problem - the steel MP is much better cause it can enough weight to un-stick itself. One solution to a sticky MP is to let is heat completely up - that warms the airway and the steel MP pops out more easily. Overall, it's more to clean than my NO2, but less to clean than my desktop Rise.

Conclusion -

Although I it's a portable, I actually don't take it out of my house. I vape for pain, and have times when walking is a problem. Being able to pre-load multiple sessions at my work table in the morning (where I can see what I am doing and not make a mess), and then take it to my recliner and have 4 sessions without having to get up -- it's really a godsend for those bad days. I have also been looking hard at a device to do wax since it's recently become available to me and has been recommended to me specifically for pain management. I've solved both of these challenges with one brilliant device.

I didn't realise you could get through the oven air path with a pipe cleaner to the main air path. Just tried it. Brilliant!

No problem Bangir and welcome. I'm new here too and until I joined FC I was spinning my wheels trying to figure out this whole vaping phenomenon. I've never timed it but I think about 90 seconds to hit level 3. Haze actually recommends waiting a bit longer before your first draw. It sure works for me. The more I come here the more I learn so thanks to everyone on this incredible forum. Happy hazing to all!

I use the lids. I guess you can use them without but I think I agree with what Nick said about them being designed to be used with the lids for a reason.
