Quick question about coconut oil and ABV

I recently had oral surgery and am not allowed to vape or "Smoke" as the doc continues to calls it for another week, and have been pretty much out of commission on pain meds that knock me out and make me feel nauseous as hell. Today i finally feel decent enough to type on my laptop and do things around the house. Even advised not to use herbal tinctures, as alcohol may affect healing. Sadly, my tinctures dissolve my capsules in about 10 seconds so that is not an option.

I decided i want to make some canna caps, but only want to use my ABV and no crock pot. I'll have about 3 hours to myself today, so im hoping i can get a quick reply and apologize if the answer was in plain sight- ive had very little luck finding a recipe without using a crockpot.

I only want to make a few caps (.5-1g of abv is a decent dosage for me) for the last few days i have to tough out.

How long would i have to cook the abv in the Coconut oil? Can it be done with just a frying pan and a stove in under an hour? I'll have about 3 hours to myself today.

I was thinking about trying the following: 2-3TBSP of coconut oil and 3-4g of ABV, cooked on low for about 40 minutes in a frying pan with gentle stirring. Filter out abv, allow oil to solidify on pyrex pan and fill caps with oil. Would this be long enough to extract all remaining goodies from my abv? And how bad is my kitchen gunna stink after this?

Any help is appreciated!

¨I cooked it in a frying pan and eyeballed the temperature¨ is one of the top causes I see for burned weed and failed experiments. I recommend to, at minimum, construct an improvised double boiler to ensure a controled temperature: http://www.rachaelraymag.com/blogs/rachael-ray/2013/06/11/technique-how-to-diy-double-boiler/
A glass Jar in a pot of boiling water will suffice for a improvised double boiler. Also use a dropper to fill the caps while still liquid makes for a non messy time.

Got some extra virgin organic coconut oil, will try later this week. I think i'll use a sauce pan filled with water with a small mason jar in the center to hold the oil+abv, lid off for stirring.

Probably low temp for 1 hour or low/under mid temp for 45 minutes. At least, that's what I've read.

How bad is this going to stink up my house?

EDIT: I'll also give that DIY double boiler a try, looks like it would be much more effective.

If your using already been vapes bud then there's no need to cook it at all. It's already been decarbed. Just throw the abv in some capsules and done.

well you can just put them in pills but i like to extract with coconut oil on a double doubler or crock pot for at least an hour then strain if youre making caps. But longer the better with cooking oil. cant go wrong if youre using a double boiler
