...turned my head to look at my wife while she's talking (she likes eye contact every other day or so....

Like that.

I'm never sure whether the eye contact is actually getting through when I've vaped a bit. I mean, I'm looking, but am I really looking? My eyes are kind of pointed in the general direction, but are they landing where I think they're landing? Always a tough call.

With the Nano I still get good flavor even when the ABV is getting dark. I'm very happy with my nano purchase. I will be getting a cherry one in the mail hopefully tomorrow or Saturday. My other replacement somehow got lost at USPS. Nadia said they lost my replacement and another one, I called Epic on Tuesday. My tracking said preshipping for almost 10 days, I figured something was up.

Got some White Kush in the nano right now. I'm glad tomorrow's Friday - one more work day.
Vape on friends.

My first week with my nano was with 18-19% top shelf indoor and sun grown. Week two starts with a liquid chromatography tested ~27.2% high grade that just shows the potential for extremely fat clouds with the nano when paired with high test greens. It surprised me on hit three of a fresh grind with an enormous lung busting hit, all whist set to 6.7 or so. Better than dabs, so much cleaner than everything but the best of the best oil, and even cleaner still I would wager.

I've been using my new Nano for about a week now and am very happy with it. I've found that I like setting 7.5 for my herb. Perhaps that's higher than most users' preference, but it works for me.

I did run into an "overheat" issue last night, but that was my own fault. Because of the relatively small bowl size (at least compared to my Solo stems), I find that I like to have two Nano bowls at night a couple of hours apart. So last night, I turned my Nano on, set it to 7.5, and 10 minutes later I was enjoying some Jack Diesel.

Unfortunately, I forgot to turn it off when I was done with my first session. So a couple of hours later, I go to turn the Nano back on for my second session and realized I never turned it off from the first one. As a result, during that second session I found the Nano quite uncomfortable to hold. It wasn't burning me; it was just hot to the touch. I found myself using it with two hands, one on the stem and the other supporting the Nano using the plastic plug going into the body. Not the "right" way to hold it, to be sure, so I will have to be more cognizant and remember to turn it off after each session.

Now for a question. I know the screen is situated within the stem at a certain height and you are supposed to use the included pick tool as a guide for proper placement. But can I deviate from that? In other words, can I put the screen deeper into the stem in order to increase the bowl's herb volume? If so, how much can I increase that volume while ensuring the heating element can do it's job by providing enough heat to vaporize the herb properly?

7.5 sounds about right if you don't leave your vape on all the time. That's where I started, but I found that 6.5 worked better once the vape is fully preheated.

Agreed though, above 7.5, the wood can get a bit hot to handle (not dangerous, just a bit warm).

Try setting it down to 6.5 and leaving it on for an hour or two, see how that works for you (I find the wood has a nice warm feel to it at this temp, doesn't get hot to handle at all)

Absolutely, you can go deeper or shorter. 15mm seems to be the sweet spot for good vape performance and good load size. However if you need to go 20 or 25mm, that won't be a problem at all.

Here is what my setup looks like, everyone! Three days into the Nano and I'm loving it. I feel mine runs a little hot, and my meter also doesn't run all the way to 10 (bout 3 ticks short). I like to stick to 6 for dry stem and 6.5 for my bubbler. I also got hooked up with an extra stem, maybe for my birthday? Either way, yay! :)
As for cleaning, I clean the GonG and stem with a little bit of alcohol almost every day. I like my pieces being crystal clear. I just pour some into the glass and shake for a minute and the screen gets rid of all the little gunk. My kitchen faucet pushes the crumbs out that get stuck in the screen. It's like new again every time!
Very Very satisfied! I almost seem to prefer the stem. I like slowly roasting it on low temps and really getting all the flavor out of it that I can. Just a tastier, less harsh route to the same destination in my opinion.

@Ratchett nice work. I have noticed, also, that while the Solo heats from the glass in, leaving a light area in the center, the Nano heats from the center out. My first gong is loose enough that I can point the heat to some degree, which helps. I also am looking forward to a final product from your design. I will hope there will be one with a tamper on one end and stirrer on the other. My scoop is made from the little cardboard that used to come in between incandescent light bulbs. I store them in the glass of my kerosense lamp til needed, which gives them the desired curve, then cut out an ovoid shape. These last me a year or two before they get too gunky.
My gongs get iso soaked in the epic tube, then iso evap in pie plate, makes a tasty treat.
I was Nanoizing while making cocannabutter, and some coco oil got onto the Nano wood, yummy smell.
I like to Nano standing up, to allow for full diaphram expansion and lung capacity. Just another Jerryatric, steal my face, but keep your hands off my Nano!

I have reached the pinnacle of vapor consumption! Here is my Nano paired with my UFO bubbler (that I helped design).

Cool. Do you know how it compares to a D020-D? We're you able to find tubing that you can't taste? I'm also concerned about loss of vapor with that long path. That tube is gonna collect alot of oil, no? Is the mouthpiece really as thin and fragile as people are saying?

I run both an LSV and a Nano through a D-020-D with about a foot of tube and I don't see a major drop in amount of vapor delivery from either unit. That said your right the longer the air path the more potential one has for loss. Guess it comes down to expectation, perception and sensitivity.

Does anyone else think having a little poker protruding the nanos heater by like a cm could be used to stir the gong and eliminate mixing? Random thought after looking at @hd_rider's pic

It would also loosen the load in the stem, and then alow it to make contact with the heater. But really, I don't see stirring annoying, rather just a step in the process.

So far my routine with the nano is .10 of a gram approx, medium grind on temp 6 to 6.25 dry. I stir half way through - works for me. Loving my walnut nano.

I'm curious, how long does your units stay in preshipping when ordering from Epic? I see it's 2 day shipping.

@GetLeft the Nanos are awesome vaporizers.

Can someone please show me how they pack the long stem dry? It has one of the cupped screen in there, with the flat side pointing down. Do I put my herb in on the bottom and put in another screened cup below?

I have only used my nano with a bubbler and would like to try it as a sipping vape. Pictures would help.
