I just checked the free grinder I got that the blue color was coming off of. It is a TrueBlendz. I would NOT get the colored one as I literally could not get the dye to stop bleeding when I tried to clean before first use. Sits in a drawer, useless to me.
Try an iso soak then hitting it with a wire brush. Could be a build up of paint/powder or just a shit job coating it. The iso should loosen up any crap & the wire brush will strip it down. Maybe its salvageable with about 20mins worth of actual elbow grease. :D After all the iso soak is just a soak to loosen/soften the crap up...

I did try soaking in ISO and scrubbing with a toothbrush (not mine...my husbands LOL...KIDDING)

It literally kept bleeding blue'ish dye though the grinder looks more black than blue. I might have to try it again as I was hesitant to even give to a friend with the bleeding blue :) Thanks for the tip, I shall try cleaning it again :D I never even got to see the grind it produces.

91% from CVS works great, the other 9% is distilled water so its also good for iso evap extracts ;) The wire brush will literally strip all that crap right off without damaging the teeth. If anything I would recommend a small BBQ type wire brush. They usually have a nice fat, square head and will strip that crap off in a heartbeat!

I can personally vouch for the trueblendz and what ever 7th floor is selling. Both of them are good grinders. I like my trueblendz better than my other one. But both do a very good job.
TrueBlendz is the worst brand name grinder on the market IMO. They offer no warranty, and apparently have zero quality control. I bought a black one a year ago or so, and the first spin of the grinder scraped the coating off the bottom grinding section. The teeth in the top section were too long, in effect, whatever the cause was. It cost me a restocking fee, to get my money back, even though I never actually used it to grind anything, and was a manufacturing defect, by their own admission. The only response I got from them about the problem was, 'yeah, that happens sometimes'. Since a simple twist or two of the grinder showed the defect, they obviously don't test the grinders in any way before shipping. At least they didn't test mine. :/

Since you can get low priced grinders that do have a warranty (I've bought both styles of Chromium Crusher and had no problems), I can't recommend a brand where the company can't even guarantee a working product right out of the box.

I've heard no bad reports about the 7th Floor grinders, but IMO their pricing is way too high for a house brand grinder.

I ordered one of Vape World's 4 pc. Aerospace grinders (56mm) last week for a Christmas present. With the FC discount it was under $16. I'll post my impressions of it after it arrives.

A grinder for a present - what a great idea. A friend of mine in the building comes up here almost every night to vape my diesel and her birthday is Monday. Belated is fine, I couldn't figure out what to get her. I think she'll dig it and I know she doesn't have one because I had to teach her how to use my CC. Max, what was the shipping charge and could you refer me to the link for the FC discount code?
thanks....

Hey guys, I know there probably is a topic on grinders, but I was wondering if you guys could describe specific grinders with kief catchers that you found to be the most efficient, minus a big price tag, thanks.;)

I am not meaning to be that guy who has to hype the latest commercial name or the like but I will say. I have previously used a space case 4 piece, it ran off a few years ago, and I was recently given a 2 piece, non kief catcher space case and they both worked extremely well. I use the 2 piece every time now.

I have never spoken on the grinders before because I have a very limited experience with them, not a month with 4 piece and it upset me so much I just never got another then I got the 2 piece and I really like it even though I recommend a kief catcher. Believe me, I recommend a grinder with a kief catcher and will rectify this issue as soon as I have extra money, which i never do but who does. If your thinking you do, I suggest knocking on some wood like product right about now, otherwise pay not attention to that last sentence, hehe.

Anyways, all I want to say, in my limited opinion the space case grinder is a quality product. I never used any other, except a plastic one which I dont qualify as using, before so please look at my writing as not coming from an experienced perspective but just my satisfaction of the space case grinders on its own and not in comparison to literally any other grinder.

Take from that what you will.

Prior to getting the 2 piece space case. I just cut mine up with scissors. It seemed to take twice as long to vape but now that I have the grinder its half the time and the same if not a bit more due to consuming it faster. Just my observation.

:) thanks for the review on the space case beezleb, I was wondering though if the space case should be priced that high, since it seems like there are those in competition with the space case that go for half (mixnball).
Anyone have a review on the mixnball? I heard its around 35-40 dollars, and that it works well all around.

I heard that the Mix-N-Ball is good too.................if you can get it. I've read that doing business with them can be a bit sketchy.

Regarding the price of the Space Case, like anything else, typically, the higher you go up in the performance/quality spectrum, you start to reach a point of diminishing returns. That is, you end up spending a lot more for a very small increase in quality or performance than you do at the lower or mid line of that spectrum.

Just got my new small titanium Space Case! I owned a medium one previously, but it was getting a little beat up and I noticed that I didn't at all need one that big anymore, so I decided to replace it with this one. I've got to say, I'm impressed! It gives a finer grind much more quickly.

It did. I am thinking of picking up one of those kellys and gifting the space case grinder since it does not have a kief catcher.

Well time for me to get off my butt and get to reading.
