How much too far? Should fit 1x 18350, and stick out maybe a few mm? Mine sticks out like 1-2mm... ish

Ya that's normal for me too about 1-2 mm but with the shorty it's about 4mm scares me to put the top on. Should I push down on the spring to get to right level then I would have to keep adjusting back and forth to use both ss tubes? Thanks for quick response ragnorokk

That seems kinda far, but I was using my 8 shorty tube today, not the Persei. The spring should handle compression better than an adjustable does, but I understand being concerned for your ~$150 vape! I'll take a pic of mine when I get home in a few, if no one else has a concrete answer for you yet.

The Okeanos is Like the only thing I don't have. What's the deal with cutting down Kiss Mini? Is there no replacement coil/ cart available?![:\](/i/s/hmm.gif "Hmm :\")
They're available however some of us found that a Kiss Mini performs better. They need to be trimmed a bit to fit: Nube Scrutator's Okeanos Mods

Here you can see a comparison of the height of an 18350 battery in both the 8 and Persei short tubes.
You can really see just how much the fuse that you need to use with the 8 increases the battery height. Fortunately the center pin on the 8 seems sturdy enough to withstand a lot of pressure from the battery so this isn't an issue.
A flaw in the design of earlier Persei tops (at least v2/v3 believe v4 fixes this) was that if too much pressure was applied the center pin could get pushed in. Clearly with the short tube in the picture this isn't an issue as the battery barely sticks up at all. However, after improperly adjusting the spring height in the normal sized tube I managed to push in the center pin of the top. This means that my Core insert no longer makes contact. Top still works fine on batteries though.

So, with no fuse, my battery sits nearly flush on my 8 shorty tube. In one Persei SS shorty tube (slightly thinner OD, by maybe a mm, but noticeably thinner OD than the Persei top -- also, the threads are immaculate), the battery sticks out 2.9mm according to my calipers. On the one with jacked up threads that is the same OD as my Persei top (so that it's flush all around when screwed in), the battery only sticks out 2.2mm.

The bottom to my 8 is like the bottom for the SS kit (but matches finish), whereas it looks like you have one of the 501/610 slugs screwed on... Just transfer the spring?

Can you post a picture of how yours is different?
Guys please take into account the springs being different lengths due to production variance.

@tharealmclovin they likely will just have you cancel and re-order, since stuff like shipping and inventory list are automagically generated by the server. Since its not shopping tomorrow, you shouldn't have any issues. I'd PM Gary or Sam, or just open a ticket like they'll have you do once you PM them, lol

Nope, it's right. That's what mine looks like w/ no fuse, on SS style spring. I keep the adjustable spring in the long tube, just like it came

Thank you for the quick response.. I haven't been on FC website for over a year but recently put down my other vaporizers and bought the "vaporizer"(love the stainless steel!), Ophos, and the persei v3(thought it would be a v4 ) no complaints on the actual units .. Just a usual burned out 7.4 cart.. Made the switch to all 3.7 carts. uptech does have excellent customer service and fast shipping, a great company that I had never bothered to even notice lol.
Currently torn between ordering multiple kiss globes and a SS kit for the persei.. Or the Okeanos .. Or the Alpha which looks very interesting .. May take the plunge and get the "8"

Currently the only ones shipping out with the plastic mouth piece is the ophos globes, once they are gone everything will be glass top, and we will update the picture.

Triton still in development, we just cant seem to get it right to where we need it to be.
Iris is on its last leg in development, as it has lots to do with other projects so we need to make sure its up to snuff.
The Fry is just another new vaporizer that literally is the futures dumbest vaporizer.
Flexo is also waiting on a few things that is interlocked with the Fry and Iris.
What else is left?
Oh the desk top vaporizer, still trying to find the right manufacturer for one part that we need, this is the most important part.
@tharealmclovin changes cant be made for the Kiss AC, once they are in its done. I do apologize you wont be disappointed, even if USPS fucks up.
@Qwerty a few Cera owners have jumped into the 8 and the Hercules and have not looked back. If that helps.

am i the only one who would love to see a 510 bottom adapter option for the herc? almost everything else has a 510 option, and i'm sure those of us who use it aren't too fond of the way that the 601 to 510 adapter looks on a mod.
alternatively, has anyone ever rigged something up to the adapter that makes it flush with the herc? i've been toying with the idea of fixing up a little aluminum donut to glue around the outer diameter of the adapter, or something. or, perhaps there is an easier cosmetic solution that has not yet occurred to me. thoughts?
