Greetings all, I was wondering if someone could kindly let me know the dimensions of the EZ load bowls, I'm wondering if they might fit in a flowermate 5.0?

I just accidentally ripped a ELB of flower at max temp. It didn't combust, but it was pretty damn close. I think there was some scorching though. Need to clean my HT and ELB now. Its got that funky smoke/Vape smell.

That rip was strong though.

What's the word on those xchillers? Didn't seem to catch a big buzz here or I the market in general since it seems the product has been taken off the website. Anyone have one (besides the guy that posted not too long ago )that would care to talk about it'

From my talks with VapeXhale, they have removed the product from the website and do not plan to offer any more chillers for sale. Apparently a combination of low demand and issues from the manufacturer. Shame, because I think that they are an excellent product besides the glue defect and really up the comfort factor on big hits. I let them know as much. No matter the temperature, my first hit through the chiller can barely be felt.

I think these VapeXchillers couldn't compete with VaporTamers.
Vaportamer should work the same way, it's a lot cheaper and AFAIK there are no glue problems.
And I think also a very important one: It's input joint is protruded and not recessed like a VapeXchiller.
Not only that enables keck-clipping, but more importantly it would keep the glycerin away from the hot EVO joint if you used it directly.
I just can't see any advantage over a VaporTamer at all... ...maybe it can hold the cold longer as the recessed joint gives it more capacity (when not sitting on the EVO).
...but I don't have either, so I don't know.

Good points. Your referring to the tamers sold by 7th floor right ?

Last thing before this evo is perfect, all glass/quartz or ceramic ELB's. I'm sure they thought of this already though.....but that would be sick!

The ELB's mesh is required for airflow. It also enables turbulence and pressurization, factors in the Cloud's performance. I don't think this would be possible with glass/quartz. Possibly with a ceramic using micro-manufacturing, but probably would cost a fortune. :)

Yes I think he is and I 100% agree. I wanted to get a VXL chiller to compare but I couldn't get past the price difference so I just got two 7th floor vape tamers. I have the Fatty and Saturn and would recommend the Saturn as it seems to last much longer with the extra glycerin and longer glass travel path.

I take hits from my EVO at max and never reaches near combustion. In fact I only get chocolate ABV, not really dark chocolate or near combustion like in my old Cloud+.

It seems like all international units are like that, hope it can get a bit hoter...

That is how my first unit performed until it melted down. My new unit is a totally different Vape. I usually hit between 10:30 and 12. The old unit needed to be around 3 to get a decent hit. Hits were almost non existent at 12.

Now it's huge clouds with one to three hit extraction. Also the old unit put off a nasty smell/taste when inverted. Not the case with the new one.

I don't have any bad taste problems or anything like that. My only problem is temperature, my unit performs exactly as your old one.

But when I send it to vapefiend they tried it and said that all their units where almost the same and maybe even with a bit lower temp, so I ask to have my old unit better.

Don't get me wrong, I love my EVO, but sometimes I wish it can get just a bit hotter. This week I'm gonna try it with some shatter and if it works good then I wouldn't worry again :D

I have done that on accident before too after running a bunch of bubble and shatter at high temp. A surprise coughing fit. Sucks man. Clean that glass.

These last few days I've really been enjoying the evo with just a little bit in the ELB and the dry glass stem. Take a lung-clearing exhale, and just breathe in through the stem. It's good for one massive hit and a decent second hit, and it's delicious! I don't usually go above 12:00 dry, though.

Can Anyone Tell Me The Temp Range For The evo? The it website doesn't say.

Low enough for super tasty hits, and high enough for concentrates.

Afaik, there have never been published numbers. And trying to get a temp reading with an IR thermometer proves quite difficult due to the glass and angle.

But seriously, don't worry about the temp range. It covers the full spectrum of all the temps you could want.

Do they give any guidelines at all On the dial?

Nope, no guidelines or hash marks. The knob has a sort of "resting point" at noon on the dial, but that's it.

At first, I was like you too and wanted to know the actual values/etc. Once I used it though, I quickly realized it wasn't needed! You'll quickly learn your sweet spot on the dial.

I'm sure I'll be able to learn my usual temps. With my herbalizer I'll go all the way up to 445. About where would that be on the evo? Thanks

445 F seems like the upper range that most people vape at. I'd hazard a guess that it's around 3 o'clock on the dial. But that's just a guess, don't have an Herbalizer to compare it directly to.

Looking for a little advice . . .

I've acquired some pressed kief (Girl Scout Cookies, Dutch Treat, Blue Diesel). In the past, I mixed small amounts of the hash with finely ground flowers, to spike the load. But I wondering if there is a better way to get the kief's full strength. I don't have any nails. It was suggested that I just put a small piece in an ELB and go with that. It seems I needed more though to get full clouds, and a higher temp.

Anyone have a suggestion as to be best way to get the most out of these goodies?
