Discontinued The Persei Vaporizer for herbs and concentrates.

no the okeanos does not work with the Kiss Alpha Centauri but we do have a nibbler in the works for the Kiss AC.

On a side note temp testing with the Kiss Carts.

I literally just saw a vid of the DrDabber hitting 580 in its first run. I want to just leave this there, but I'm already in trouble in that thread for mentioning KISS carts and VBros heaters as alternatives. Sigh.

How are you cleaning these? Dropping them in ISO for 30 min and shaking then drying for a day or so? Can you use a blowdryer to speed up the process?
For the current gen w9 atty's, I repeat this process several times, and use a fan. Blow drier would probably help, but I wouldn't trust the dry appearance afterward enough to plug directly back into my pen. I would still let it sit a few hours, if it was me.

I was also wondering if there are any actual videos of the ac? Not that rendered cartoon stuff.

Sam has a Kiss Alpha Centauri but no coils, he is going to modify a kiss mini to fit inside and show you guys maybe.

I can do one as well but all my coils are destroyed and have one single coil left.

It's pretty simple. Unscrew top section load and screw back on, even the globe top you can unscrew.

@THC SCIENTIFIC
Do the other KISS globe attys fit the AC thread? Will I be able to use my stockpile of globe attys?

Standard globe coils do not fit the Kiss Alpha Centauri. For reasons later to be told.

Just wait and see.

Yes, ISO or grain alcohol.

@ragnorokk

Deceptive paid reviews is the reason you don't see our units in hands of reviewers.

I do a 24 hour or more 99% iso soak. 2-4 day air drying. 2 full cycles of burn-off. I have only lost 1 atty/kiss cart out of about a dozen I have between kiss and globe atty's.
I only soak longer than a few hours if I fall asleep and forget to check them first, but it doesn't seem to cause any problems (the insulator is the only concern, but it seems to hold up fine). Also, I can't emphasize enough how much putting it in a plastic bag and shaking helps.

Good thing we have a whole forum full of eager, pro bono reviewers!

As for the globes... I'd thought it was due to the 510 threading on the globe atomizers, but maybe I misunderstood. (I know the globe base has options for 601 and 510, but the part where you screw in the atty is 510 for all the UPTECH globes).

That's correct all standard globe coils are 510 while the Kiss Ac coils are 601.

Big reason behind that.

Thanks for the KISS cleaning suggestions, everyone. To further minimize off flavors and any health risk, I use 99% ethanol from kleenxtract.com and a glass mason jar to agitate. A hair dryer pointed at the base gets the solution hot quickly without wasting water since there's a drought in my state. No lost or burned out coils yet, knock on wood.

On another note, my SR-74x TI coil keeps sliding up above the ceramic heater every time I hit it and cool off, regardless of how soft I pull or whether the AAF is open or closed. Is this normal, or is there a way to keep this from happening? I gently push it back down after it happens (pretty much every hit) with a pick while it's warm, since it hits much better with the coil at the bottom rather than above the heater. Thanks in advance!

I really need to start doing that, I just see myself being a spaz and constantly spraying iso out of broken/ripped bags. Double bag it?

Right now I end up soaking for a day or two taking it out every couple hours to scrape at problem areas.

Can we expect shipment of the AC immediately? I was hopeful to have it right away with ordering it on the release date.

it is normal, and there is a way to keep it from happening. remove the coil, take two quarters (or about anything else), place the donut between them on its side, and squish it slightly, so that the shape is slightly ovular, and try to fit it back into the herc. it should just barely fit, and only if you jank it around a little bit, but once it's in, no more sliding around.

Anyone wanna cut a KISS mini to okeanos size and ship it to me? I dont wanna buy a $40 tool just to use my okeanos again, and i dont wanna keep using my okeanos as a paperweight

you can pick up a pipe cutter at home depot for less than 10$ think i paid a lil under 9 when i bought one recently for a project i was working on

lonelyhero,
It won't be the SS cutter style for less than $30, but if you look at your local hardware store, they should have more than 1 option. Choose the most srs biz looking one at your preferred price point, and just be prepared to go super slow (multiple turns at each setting) and only feather it tighter, don't crank it down.

In other news, for the second time in a row, my package from w9 has disappeared off USPS' radar in transit once it passed through Santa Clarita. I'm guessing they sent it out to Arizona again, and I'll see it returned at midnight tonight. Another 3 day transit for a 1 day priority package. Guess this is my comeuppance from shitting all over UPS (though I stand by my shitting on them, I just am now extending the realm of shit to include usps). Are the inmates now staffing the SC post office? Wtf...

If anyone here can more accurately guess where it ends up having gone, they get some free lulz at my expense.

For everyone cutting mini kiss tubes, why would cutting it with a dremel tool not work? plug the coil at the bottom and have at it? If you dont have a dremel tool already, bam, excuse to buy a dremel...

could probably do it with a sander or bench grinder also just depends on what tools people have around i guess the pipe cutters just caught on

lonelyhero,
Because plugging the inside in a way that ensures no SS dust gets inside during grinding is a pain, and the cutter will make a better straight cut than my eyeballs + grinder would. It's not like I didn't think about it :p

Plus, I lost my old pipe cutter, so... I pulled the same trick on myself. Don't have it? Oh, then I NEED it, and cutting this KISS mini is just a side benefit...

If you cut it with a grinder or Dremel, you may run the risk of inhaling particulates from the cutting tool (silica, carborundum, fiberglass). IMO not a good solution. There will be fine dust-like particles everywhere. It will be very hard to be sure to keep the air path 100% clean with such fine dust. The tubing cutter is the safest bet. Tubing cutter: $30-40...peace of mind and clean lungs PRICELESS!:2c:

Cutting the Kiss mini is the best way to ensure a safe and straight cut. Cutting with Dremel type tool will leave a sharp finish that will require reaming to a safe finish. Too much work IMO.

The Okeanos is Like the only thing I don't have. What's the deal with cutting down Kiss Mini? Is there no replacement coil/ cart available? :\

for all you guys who wonder, I just took this shots of the kiss AC coils on the okeanos base, now just to be clear this is prototype coils, the production version was slightly altered so until we fully test them we cant guarantee them working

Dont screw it in all the way or it will damage your coils and then you will complain.

on a different side note.

Cool, cause so far my Okeanos is only worth a damn when I use the 7.4v KISS Ti -- my Persei is in 7.4v mode all the time, due to a SS kit threading snafu that I'm not yet willing to pay $65 to solve (Soon, but AC preorder came first, since I like 7.4v mode just fine), and my 8 is poorly adjusted; An issue I could theoretically solve. Based on my Omicron v1 experience with the KISS mini, I could probably be having fun with my KISS mini in there, if I tried something other than the 8 to test it. Maybe I'll try my Omicron v1 w/ the Okeanos/mini setup and see what I'm missing, while I wait for my backup Persei to arrive. Either way, every time I pull out the Okeanos, I end up switching it to the 7.4v I rigged up.

Is the issue that bottom connector pin? The first alteration I did to the 7.4v KISS Ti cart to try to get it working was a globe pin. It was hollow, which met part of the criteria, but wouldn't thread in due to the extra few mm length.
