Discontinued The Persei Vaporizer for herbs and concentrates.

Just got mine from Friday evening.
From before or after 5? I finalized my order when the AC was turned on for purchase, after hours. I live in LA, so my Friday orders are received Sat if I put them in early enough. Hopefully I'll find a fuckload of unexpected delights in the mail today, but I'm guessing my order hasn't left the warehouse.

Mine was after hours. A few hours after the video. I used ups. It has not actually shipped yet, but the label has been made.

Yuck, UPS ;p -- I'll never use them again, after the train they had my packages on derailed (2 separate times), package arrived smashed, and also came weeks after it should have. Not entirely their fault, but not something I want to do again.

ragnorokk,
For what it's worth, the XL has been showing out of stock since right before the sale.
I thought someone reported getting to cash in on the sale? It was certainly out of stock by the time the last of the new disposable globe atty's had been put up for sale, or I'd be runnin my mouth about how great it is ;) 35% off of $130 is nothing to scoff at. Of course, with the 2nd AAF washer installed on my sr-74x, I have no issues with vapor getting too hot -- I take one perfect, monster hit, that I literally just time by counting in my head while I hit, and I find it to be the perfect temp. I also know what I'm in for, so I only take the one hit, and it lasts me for a couple of hours. As long as I use my Persei (no adjusting necessary, unlike my 8), I get a perfect, tasty, refreshing monster hit -- I don't even know what the nibbler would change, except being able to see my hit. Counting was not this effective with KISS carts and similar style "stealth" hitters, but has not failed me with my Herc, probably due to more consistent heating.

Yeah that discount was a killer deal, I finally pulled the trigger on an SR-74x. I had an XL in my shopping cart too from a couple days prior. The night those globe attys went up, I removed it for a price comparison and it showed out of stock. Maybe someone did manage to snag one of the last ones with the discount.

Any chance of an actual assembly/usage vid rather than renderings? Is the wick and coil wrap going to be essentially the same as the KISS mini/globes but on a new future friendly platform? Centauri mode is strictly the glass top right? So purely an aesthetic change and you can use any of the carts with either the glass or the metal/teflon?

Okeanos friendly?!

Glad you got a Herc at a good price, though -- if more people had a Herc, at least accessible to them at a friend's house, "Hercules SR" would be a household name like "Volcano."

And yes, I think the hercules is w9's Volcano. In fact, I'll go so far as to say it's oil vaping's Volcano.
This is pretty much what pushed me to go for it, along with having the time and focus to start making shatter again. There was no way for me to try it out before purchasing, but after lurking forever I read enough to have no doubts. Now I can share the awesome clouds and flavor with friends & oil heads who otherwise haven't gotten the chance or even heard of it.

So much of the Herc info is buried past the 200-post search limit, but it's pretty straight-forward so far. Visual feedback is what I was looking for when considering an XL since my wife and I are both learning to hit this at the same time, but it hasn't really been necessary either. Keeping in line with Futurama terminology, a Finglonger to see the vapor can be made by attaching an MFLB tube to a silicone W9 mouthpiece with the top cut off.

Of course everything is Murphy's Law with me and vapor tech, and I like to experiment. Apparently the AAF washer seems to have a top and bottom side which isn't mentioned in the manual - after the initial cleaning I seem to have put the washer on upside down, causing it to pinch where I set it but not spin freely. The nut likely wasn't able to lock down although it felt in place, and after 5 herb bowls with the 3.7v black rod the nut came loose and caused a short mid-hit in my older Omi 2.5. After a ticket, extended warranty, and some quick support from W9, I'm up and running and with HVD-V2 7.4 volt capability now on my Core (sorry not Persei owner yet).

Oil so far has been amazing with the white rod, but tonight I need to try it out more. Closing the AAF makes the titanium coil want to rise above the ceramic heater from the change in air pressure, so that made for light hits until I realized it lifted then pressed it back down while warm. Loading is interesting, the manual says how much but not how. I just throw some on the titanium and gently pulse the button to get it to melt before adding more since adding it all at once seems to make it want to hang onto the metal sides.

Anyway thanks for listening, so far it's great.

Assembly is pretty straight forward the manual will be up next week once i get my web guy to wake up.

Centauri mode is strictly glass top and is the same concept as the globes and all coils are available to be used in Alpha mode and Centauri.

The coils are not okeanos certified but it might work as the center pin might cause an issue.

Nice, that's lightning fast. Enjoy your backup unit, foo.

I had not noticed there being a big difference between the "sides of the AAF when I took it apart; I wonder if that was my issue? It seems to create the perfect seal the way it is now, so... I'm happy with my $3 extra AAF fix ;) I'll try to pay attention next rebuild and try flipping it to see if that has any noticeable effect for me.

I usually do USPS. They never ring my bell and I have to pick it up every time. This time ups was only like 40 cents more so I figured let's give it a try. Maybe they will actually deliver it.

no the okeanos does not work with the Kiss Alpha Centauri but we do have a nibbler in the works for the Kiss AC.

On a side note temp testing with the Kiss Carts.

Is the alpha c going to have more wraps around the dark ceramic than the current kiss carts? The globes seem to have more.

depending on the globe coil, the nichromes have more yes, but our new third gen coils will have a lot more wraps.

Not sure if you can see but here is a used coil that went through about 5 grams of oil, cleaned a few times.

You will also notice this being offered by a few other manufacturers now and in the future.

We are manufacturing these for them.

True innovation comes from hard work not pretending. These coils are the next generation that the industry will adopt soon.

I was also wondering if there are any actual videos of the ac? Not that rendered cartoon stuff.
