is this a good deal?
yup
where can you buy a charger from?
nope
VAS still winning!
yup
I just discovered a party mode that every time you touch the top of the mouthpiece the petals go crazy blinking all kinds of colors. This really gives the feel for how sensitive the lip sensing technology is. As soon as you're not touching it the lights stop. Pretty cool! I totally forgot how I got to it but it was 3 turns toward me 3 turns away 3 turns towards me and after that I forgot:razz:
for now though im just like kinda wondering and dont even know and even gave up trying to think about it though because i know its really in there from just givin'er the ol' finger test on mine... but it JUST works in normal mode very good EVEN on glass when i have no idea if the sensor is being triggered from just the touch of the 18mm glass or not but it does work great.. and i know scott dunlap mentioned earlier that it is specifically adjusted to be sensitive to skin or lips or something and other objects will trigger the sensor as well but may have to be held there for a couple seconds im not sure but all i know is that its in there and even works on glass pretty much in normal mode the same as in party mode because to me in my opinion i was tired of spinning it but then again i was getting kinda tired of waiting for it to turn green as well so here goes my next question: is the oven still heating up while you are spinning the p2? i.e (can you still get into the party modes and have the oven pre-heating at the same time so as to kill two birds with one stone?)

This guy who sold me my p2 has ANOTHER ONE, that he wants to trade $100 worth of flowers for...only One problem...he doesn't have a charger and I haven't seen any on the pax site...is this a good deal? And where can you buy a charger from?

EDIT: Pulled the trigger and got another p2 and a solo for 7g's of flower and $50 cash...VAS still winning! No charger for the p2 or stems for the solo...but all in all...great saturday!

Not trying to scare you, but I have been getting messages from China wholesalers on Instagram already about knockoff Pax 2's LIKE THIS So if you come across a deal that is too good to be true, it might be :(

@scott_dunlap Can you please just make a post that tells us all of the easter eggs, I really don't want to spend time trying to figure out what special perks my $280 dollar vaporizer has. I feel like all of us should know all the things our device is capable of doing, and I'd rather not wait a million years, exaggerating, until someone figures it out. Wouldn't it just be better if we knew what our device is capable of?

Don't worry... I don't scare easily...paranoia is another story...
To be on the safe side I'll just register and check my serial numbers with ploom, I had a pax one and know their quality...the box, accessories, and receipt all check out
My bigger 'fear' is that they are stolen...in the past couple months I have gotten a genuine crafty for $100 a genuine arizer solo for $50 a 120gb iPad Air for $100 and a MacBook Pro for $300...
But I will definitely report back on their authenticity! (That would kinda suck if they were fake:doh: but dammit they work!)
EDIT: DID NOTICE it plays funky town when shaken vertically...that should be a good sign right?
surely they cannot fool us thanks to the pax labs easter eggs
That's what I'm thinking too, but in the link they did say they included party modes...so who knows

WHO HAS RECLAIM TIPS FOR THE PAX???

Has anybody tried the 2 different type screens the pax2 is coming with?
The leaner and the one with the feet that sits flat.
Any preferences?
I have a leaner on my loner but the pax site shows the spare or replacement ones for sale that sit flat.
Also are there any other places to order accessories besides pax.com?
Thanks.

I have 3 favorite ways to enjoy flower in the Mighty.

For a slow flavorful session I start at 330F and increase temp between hits until I reach 360 and the load is spent.

When I'm in a faster mood or sharing with friends, I stay at 360. If I'm with folks who are big joint smokers, we sometimes go to the higher temps.

When using @Ratchett SonG and water, I usually use 380.

For me, these temps are the best mix of performance and flavor.

that is why i have that one in hand already! They should make it come prepacked with each unit because it works so well;)
does anyone know if a second stock pax2 screen would work as well on top of the load

I was thinking about trying this but I didn't have an extra one, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. @scott_dunlap are you here?

IMHO, the idea of a pusher or a piece of metal that just "sits" on top of the load just doesn't make as much sense to me as the popular 20mm trimmed pipe screen... for three reasons (feel free to add your own!):

1) The more metal that is placed inside the chamber, the less efficient the oven will be.
2) The pusher or pax screen is SOLID. It won't breathe and let air through... because they have no holes in them.
3) These items do not really hold the load in place unless the oven lid is on, and frankly, the magnetic force on that lid isn't gargantuan enough to keep a downward force on the load. The pipe screen, if bent properly, will provide a 'springlike' action against the sides of the oven and this will keep your arbitrary amount of load nicely tucked down against the oven floor.

It's bad enough with Convection that you need to firmly pack the load, as it reduces draw ("solid" substance). That's just the way it is. But the situation is made worse by them putting something in there that restricts airflow and reduces efficiency. What's needed is something that is as unobtrusive as possible... And that would be a real screen, with holes in it.

A screen is like Shcroedinger's Cat: It's both "there" and "not there"! :hmm:

I agree about the pusher. It can cause the oven lid to open easier if it falls from the extra weight. I like the rolled screen much better.

Is anybody using the oven screen that lies flat with little feet holding it off the bottom of the oven instead of the bottom screen that leans against the side??

After a number of questions were kindly addressed by Nathan at Pax Labs, I am already traveling with my Pax2.
I am enjoying a cooler oven door thanks to the new technology... much easier to handle..The oven itself is also easier to load, due to the depth of the entry, and shape of inner ledge.
I have seen others address comparison between Pax and pax 2, as far as flavor.
The flavor factor to me, while slightly different are about equal. Pax Units taste good.
The sessions so far seem to go faster, but I will need to try many more strains to know for sure.
What I do know ... and I know it for sure, is I like the lack of spring loaded mouthpiece.
That was the piece most likely to come loose, and now besides that bonus, my unit can never come on unless directly invited by a push of a button.
My trip to the post office was graced by enjoying my session.
I like the flat "sipping" mouthpiece, but the unit's wall got a bit warm at "4 petals" and I found the flat mouthpiece with to be easier on the lips than the raised mouthpiece, which required more technique to use in my case.
I like changing temperature without removing mouthpiece.. that was a great feel.
I like the faster warm-up time.
I see it all clearly now...
I salute the folks at Pax labs in making the Pax2 more user friendly, and easier to maintain!

I wish that there were a manual enclosed.
Many folks do not have printers... and some do not have computers.
I did learn from Nathan that the Pax (original) charger could be used, which is a good thing.
I will go try some other strains in my Pax2 a t this time.
What a nice portable!

Granted I can't speak as to the effectiveness on the Pax 2 Pusher, but I have the pusher for the original Pax and it works MUCH better than a rolled screen ever did for me. It takes slightly longer to heat up (maybe 10 to 15 seconds) but it doesn't affect the draw of the vape at all, and it really does help me get a more even cook. I guess the Pax 2 pusher might end up being less effective, but based on my experience with the original, when I pick up a P2 I'm definitely getting a new pusher as well.

Ok, I don't think I have ever seen this asked. Do you hold the vapor or just breath it is and exhale?

I pack mine full, like really full, crush it all down. That lasts me all week (keep it in the car and take a few hits before after work) I get at least 10 3-4 hit sessions.
