I wouldn't expect a guy helping to promote the product to say "The vapor is HARSH."

Not good for business. ;)

But yes, you're right. I was just putting the info out there.
I fully expect it to be harsh. That's why I've bought a water tool.

Now that I have one, I even use it with my solo. In fact, I seldom use my solo without it anymore. However, my solo takes an irritatingly long time to get hot enough to hit. So long, in fact, that sometimes I get distracted by something else, and forget to hit it until it beeps and switches off, which is really annoying...getting distracted and forgetting what I was planning to do somehow tend to happen more frequently while I'm medicating, for some reason... :ko:

Anyway, I fully expect my grasshopper to "solve" that problem, as I'll apparently be able to pop it on my bubbler and hit it almost immediately.

Late on this one...think I'm going to pull the trigger and pre order one. Having a very hard time deciding if paying the $45 more for the titanium is worth it....

For me, I opted to buy the SS version of the GH since this is the first version. I'll save titanium as an excuse to upgrade to the next version if/when they release it :D

Same, I've thought of emailing to upgrade but then think I should hold off till I know how things are going

its lighter and supposed to deal with the heat better taking longer for the unit itself to get hot iirc
And then ti conversely retains the heat longer than ss does.

I'm thinking that the silicon tip will not only insulate the mouthpiece from transferring excessive heat to the lips, but also act as a 14mm watertool adapter. And speaking of hot vapor, my firefly is about the coolest vapor I've experienced, but even with "carbureted inhalation" I will still cough from it damn near every time.

Titanium might take longer to ship out as well. Stainless steel is a lot easier to manufacture and obtain. Titanium will be made in smaller batches. This might not be the case for GH, but in general the more specialized pieces like titanium/colored will probably take a bit longer to ship out than just plain SS.

I hope they come out soon. Not really wanting to be one of the early buyers, but I've been waiting for this and mivape for what seems like forever.
Since I've wanted one I've bought a solo, ascent, pax, herbalizer, crafty, elevape. I've sold a few just in preparation for this. I can't wait much longer lol

Was thinking the same thing.
Who knows.

I'm pretty sure the silicone mouthpiece will give a good seal with my simple old hammer. But if I'm at home, I'm going to just use my Underdog- it's always plugged in and ready, and hits like a mofo. The GF, for me, is all about the portability.

Where does one get this set-up?

That is the D021 from Sunshine Store on DHGate, which I wanted to get because this setup does indeed look cool. However, from what I understand the D020-D is what you'd want for a vape, as it provides just enough percolation with little to no draw resistance. The D021 supposedly has more draw resistance.

And you will be drinking water with that one for sure.... Unless you are using a very restricted vape....

I changed mine from SS to TI and tevor specifically said it would not change my ship date.

Hey I was chatting with @BuzzDanklin about the GH... OK he's a pretty proper dude, and right now our best source for hands-on info. I asked about the issue of clogging, and his response was informative so I'll pass it along...

------------------------------------------------------------
[Buzz said]: As far as clog tests go, this is one of the few areas the production unit performance may change from my unit. I believe there are roughly 60 parts in the grasshopper and 3 or 4 of them are changed in the final production unit (the screen, and 2-3 pieces of the charging cable and the pcb in the cable) Judging by what Matt told me, and from looking at the new screen, I imagine the new version will be better than what I have now, but I dont know for sure.

With my version, I have clogged it multiple different ways, at first when the unit is clean it has very minimal draw resistance about as low as any other portable, however as it gets more and more clogged the draw resistance continues to go up. If I don't clean it for a long time, say 10-20 bowls (Depending on the resin and water content of the herb) the draw resistance is about the same as a lightly tamped stem in the Solo/Air. And if you still don't clean it, it will continue getting more and more resistance. This is basically the same way it behaves if you clog it purposely with dense unground nugs, or very wet smashed in herb. It still works, just not as well, and its like sucking a thick milkshake, rather than free-flowing.
