Do the pinnacle pro bullets fit? I remember early on in the thread someone saying they did but not all of them. I was wondering if anyone else has had success with them?

Why smoke and die, when you can vape and fly?
"I suggest a butane based vape." I don't. The only butane vapes that I know of are Oglesby & Butler's iOlite and Wispr 2, that both offer only one temperature setting (210 celsius). I'd never recommend the original iOlite, and would recommend the Wispr 2 only to those who are away from a power source for long periods of time.

If this is discussed in the thread I missed it. Is there a way to keep the puck from rising in the FM5.0? If it gets too far from the bottom it extracts less well. I have been trying to suck more gently but it usually rises anyway.

Lots in the portable vape section. I mean lots more than iolite and wispr. I still suggest my iolite for people looking for a session based portable powered by butane. :2c:

I use a small pinch of cotton ball (organic/not bleached) on top of load. Then just dump it all. Some use screens on top, but then you've got to fish them out of the waste/ABV and clean them, etc. A pinch of a cotton ball is so much easier to me.

I haven't discovered a way yet. If you loosely pour herb into the chamber it will hold about 0.10gm. Then if you pack it down into a puck you can pack another 0.10 or so. However, I'm a microdoser so that's too much for me for one session (0.07 to 0.10gm is right for me) and I think you get the best flavor, draw, and vapor if the puck is not too tight and the chamber is not completely filled up. Your mileage may vary.

@KeroZen:I use it upside down all the time with the OEM H20 Adapter
so my pucks moving all over the place

when i smoke during the day my bowls are only .025 - .050
I want a vape that uses less material than smoking
covering the aromed 4.0 1 inch screen with material costs too much

I gotta give this a try tomorrow. Does your mouthpiece still get clogged up?

Also, are you guys just using the little metal tool that came with the FM to scrap resin off the MP?

I've just been wiping it off. And the only time I've really cleaned the mp so far a just dropped it in the ISO jar.
I have to say I am impressed by the battery on this device. I often go several weeks between uses of the FM and it hold it's charge very well.

I've been using a 2 small washers on top of puck lately. Keeps it down and keeps top screen clean.

I've been using a crushed up enano basket screen
But A proper sized basket screen would be perfect I think

And with the FM5-Pro the main interest is to be able to do low temp levels. The more distinct levels you do the longer the overall session. If you do one 210°C level it will be pretty fast, if you do like I enjoy 173°C, 184°C, 196°C then 215°C in a row, the session will be longer (and IMHO it gives more time for your lungs to absorb more components, so you get more effect and on top of that you preserve all delicate terpenes and get the delicious taste)

Now we can't always afford a 15+ minutes session... but that's the beauty of variable temp control, you can adapt the device to your needs and your medicine!

The pro has grown on me, lower temp flavours can be lush. Starting to feel the "s" starts too high.
I see others are all about the cloud, so please understand that this is just my opinion.

Here is an example of how much vapor the Mini can produce. Your results may vary.

Wow that's f****ing awsome. What's that glass thing? Where can i buy it? And it seems you have some kind of adaptor in stead of the mouthpiece?

Just curious. I'm satisfied with the old version for the most part. I used variable temp for years and haven't found the 3 step FM to be unsatisfactory, and I like the ease of maintenance, really good battery performance, and price. Price will likely determine whether I get a Pro. Don't need it so it'll have to be a really good deal. Probably dhgate down the road. My wife did say she wanted a green one....

Just wondering on the mini is the glass mouthpiece supposed to be twisting freely on top of the metal piece? It feels like it might pull off or twist off if I pull hard enough on it one day. Also is the brownish deposit inside the glass thc?

I like them both equally really now. They are different in character is the thing.
My good lady took possession of my first "s" and loves it.

Todays revelation for me has been putting a 10mm gauze screen on top of my load, not packed down just resting at the top of the ceramic. The draw and experience is much more enjoyable :)

Just wondering...I have a D020 bubbler on the way (from DHGate) to use with my Solo but would like to use it with my FM 5.0 as well.
Does anyone have suggestions on an adapter (DIY or one I can buy for not too much) that will allow me to use my FM with the new bubbler?
Thanks!

I didn't realise the air path on the mini goes through to the bottom compartment, so you can actually control air flow with the bottom hatch.
