I cant find what your talking about anywhere on the site for the alpha:
i cant find any diffrent or any voltage information on the single and double coils for the alpha and that is what im asking about, the 1701 has options on it that make sense but not the others?

well its somewhere in this topic. also there only doing 3.7v only for now till they receive more of their other 7.4v coils. or it was the other way around.

Anyone planning on using the AC on a mech mod?

Was wondering if a 18350 Aw IMR battery could run it in alpha mode.

AW batteries are generally considered the best so if bet that would run the 3.7 alpha coils fine but a 18650 would be better

im sure im not going to get the AC, but i think it should work. Depending on the mod your using. It can run the 3.7 and 7.4 settings. I run the sr74x on 7.4v+ on an istick vv mod. So i guess it should work.

Hey guys, can someone help me out with the 8 real quick? I have been using it at 7.4 exclusively since i got it and now I have the opportunity/need to switch to the short body.
Do you need to use the circuit board when only using a single 18350? I dont think so, but I really want to be sure.

I don't like how much the battery sticks out of the shorty tube with the fuse so I only use the fuse with an 18650 when I'm using my rda

What don't you like about it exactly? This is precisely how I run my 8 most of the time; short tube + fuse + 18350.

The instructions say the battery is supposed to sit flush with the top of the tube i don't like the idea of extra pressure possibly causing a misalignment or bad connection but I also suffer from very bad anxiety and always feel like things will fail all around me

Edit: I've actually been wondering if I've been wrong to exclude the fuse in 7.4v mode it doesn't fit if adjusted to be flush and the pdf isn't clear about the fuse being used in the various configurations (I may have missed something) but I only saw it being paired with the 18650

I personally always use the circuit protection board with mods, 18350, 18650 whatever. I've had shorts occur in the past where the vape body heats up quick. @lonelyhero, I know what you mean. The battery sits about .20" above the 8's shorty tube with the cp. In the past I have sanded down the magnet on the pcb to about half its original height to help fix that problem.

I was told from customer service that the battery is NOT supposed to sit flush, its supposed to be a little above, i have no idea if that might make you change your mind or not

That's true for the Persei but the 8 is different according to the instructions my Persei I do leave the batteries up about 1/8" maybe 1/16th

Something we already though about as an option but decided against it. I'm sure your girl/wife/Fwb might hate it so we decided against majority of our clients being sterilized because of our devices.

In order to fit the fuse in 7.4v on the 8 I had to lower the adjustable spring so low that it went back up when I put the bottom cap on but i guess it's better than not having it lol
