next generation e-nails?

The Happy Daddy nail kind of does the same thing. It has a shelf inside that if any liquid makes it out of the initial dish, it has to hit the shelf for the second vaporization stage.

The disk itself is mostly heated by convection but your dab isn't when you touch it against the disk. Probably more a marketing term than anything else since it shouldn't matter whether the disk is up top or on the very evenly heated SiC dish below. Semantics aside I think it's cool to have two options when dabbing, you end up with a high and low temp option. Is it easy to dab on the SiC dish while the disk is in place? Also have you tried dabbing along the edge of the disk so that it dribbles down onto the the next surface, kinda like a dab fountain?

yea it's very easy to dab on the sapphire dish while it's in place after a week of use I prefer using the sic with the sapphire than alone it taste better and cleaner using it and I haven't really tried putting dabs on the edge but sometimes big dabs will fall thru the sapphire onto the sic and it gets dabbed either way it taste amazing on either surface I just prefer to take advantage of the convection shelf lol dab fountain :mmmm:

While I was checking to see if the Silika Side-Arm e-nail was out yet at 420Titanium, I noticed this interesting new arrival:

http://420titanium.com/collections/...itanium-3in1-domeless-e-nail-insert-16mm-coil

BOSS-16MM-ENAIL_02f4f5d0-fa22-49c0-8670-c5629d7a7a68_2048x2048.jpeg

What makes it really attractive is the $50 price tag, plus there should be some codes for that site floating around too. Cup size seems like it might be closer to the OmniNail and the cup is inside the coil which I think is a good thing. Will probably buy it to give it a try just because it's so cheap.

------

Congrats to @NewVape710 on their Manufacturer badge, it's great to finally have you on the forum!

I just saw this posted on their IG, they call it the Peacemaker and it's a Dab hookah octodab. Not sure what to think of it yet but I'm looking forward to seeing the prototype.

That Boss titanium e-nail looks nice. Just wish it was made for a 20mm coil too. Looks like I need to pick up a 16mm coil and a flat coil. Seems like it would be nice to have all three.

can anybody familiar with PID devices help me understand what the different values mean and why the Aubers Instruments parameters are different from the Divine Tribe and Terps Nail parameters and why Aubers would give a special manual to change one of the parameters for 20 millimeter 100 watt coil

Edit: my coil is 150 Watts..... Says it right on it. I am going back to all stock settings... This thing works too good!

PID: proportional-integral-derivative

heres some helpful info that may help you

--if it overshoots a lot and oscillates, either the integral gain needs to be increased or all gains should be reduced

--Too much overshoot? Increase D, decrease P.

--Response too damped? Increase P.

--Ramps up quickly to a value below target temperature (0-160 fast) and then slows down as it approaches target (160-170 slow, 170-180 really slow, etc) temperature? Try increasing the I constant.

For my 180w flat coil these are the settings i had come to 28.2/18/6.39 on my mypin ta4 pid. maybe try scaling these numbers a bit.

what would be a better option for a cheaper enail?
the 2 that ive seen are the high5 enail ($140) and the stickybox enail ($200)
does anyone have any experience with either of these?

I would get the gimido enail they are $120 plus shipping for the cheapest model I have one and it's awesome heats up really quick and very sturdy also dhl is super fast shipping like 3 days from china

First of all, Enhale is kind of sketchy. l the second I made the purchase I regretted it and got really sketched out so I started doing research on the company and it's like hardly anythings exists, yet their site comes up number 1 on google when you search ceramic enail coil. wierd ... but it seems like they have been selling their ceramic enail nail before hive even put out the ceramic enail. Took days for a tracking number during which I stressed out about losing my money lol so I emailed the dude asking whatsup and he responded immediately and said ill get you tracking asap which he did and the item proceeded to arrive in a couple days.

The coil works perfectly with the divine tribe box, same pinout :D. and Despite its shortcomings, I do really like the nail. It is currently my daily driver. I ordered the female universal nail but the 14mm gauging inside is too wide for a 14mm male.. so you would need to use an 18mm.. but even with that.. the cast is not perfectly round so it doesnt seal and it wobbles a bit.. so after staring at it for weeks i took a piece of hemp and wrapped the bottom wide part of the 14mm male joint on my piece 15-20 times till it was just a little wider than the nail's inner diameter at its widest. so this allowed me to fit the nail onto the wrapped hemp and it is holding very stable with no problems! totally rigged but fuck it ceramic is really where its at for enails and its working good for now... i wonder if their male nail is any different. I emailed the company about my issues and they never responded. surprise..

heres a thread on reddit:
http://www.reddit.com/r/enail/comments/2vc0e3/has_anyone_ordered_any_enail_products_from_enhale/

and heres some weird sheet metal company in chiliwack lol WTF this is where is gets strange
http://sheetmetalwork.inchilliwackarea.com/enhale-e-nail-electronic-nail-for-heating-oil-nail/

Enhale used to have an amazon company but now they dont.. but now enhale is being sold by an amazon company "silicon plus".. feel like enhale is just shooting for wholesale big orders

That makes perfect sense, its a bullshit company the number they have on the site was out of service so i made a paypal claim after no response for days from them. eventually i did receive my order without any communication from them and they never even dealt with the paypal claim so i got my money back, all and all i got free ceramic nail and carb cap but would not order ever again from them. strange that are number one on google.

I had no idea you could even change anything on the PID, how would you go about tweeking a gltc420 pid in the first place? Mine tends to occiliate on it's own 1 or 2 degrees up or down and it likes to overshoot/heat up a lot after a hit to the point of glowing, I normaly run 780, lowest I can go without losing vapor so far ;)

Mine was getting red hot after use as well, i discovered It was due to the Carbcap contacting the coil where the thermocouple is located, giving a false cold reading and causing the coil to overheat to try to compensate.

that happens with mine too, especially when using my 180w flat coil (180w coil your thinking? idk why they made it 180watts either...). it gets glowing red on heat up and glows a little bit during reheat after taking a hit. For the higher wattage coils (depending on your PID), they tend to heat up a lot faster than the lower wattage coils. more watts = more power/ability to heat. PID's generally require different settings depending on what wattage your coil is. playing around with these numbers is pretty much the only way to do this

Most E-nails overshoot on heat up but should oscillate in the 1-3 degrees range. With my old PID (and the PID values i posted above) i was able to get my 180W coil to oscillate in that range but would overshoot temp every time.

now i have a gimido PID and its PID settings seem to be set for 100W coils (haven't tried to change the settings at all for some reason..) because my 180W coil oscillates by about 8-9 degrees both ways. however, my regular 100w coil, oscillates within 1-2 degrees and doesn't lose near the amount of heat when being hit, nor does it get glowing red.

take into account that if you are placing a cold carb cap on the nail that the nail will lose heat. i wouldnt consider this a false cold reading because the PID measures the actual nail temp. putting a cold/room temp titanium carb cap on a titanium nail is obviously going to cause the nail to lose heat. People sometimes heat their carb cap up a little bit before doing low temp dabs to keep nail more consistent temp. Just place your carb cap on your e-nail for about 4-5 seconds, take it off and let the nail temp stabilize again before taking your dab and using the heated cap

The glowing is coming from your coil trying to get back to temp, but using more power than is needed. the PID controls this by determining the % of output it needs to get back to the set temp, and it controls this output % based on the PID values that are set. when you see the coil glowing, at least on my PID, it shows that it is using nearly 100% of my 25A solid state relays output. It should never have to use 100% of its available output to get back to temp but thats where the PID values come into play. playing with these values and scaling them together is the only way to find the right PID values

EDIT:

For the Gltc 420 PID from gimido I think it works best with 100w coils. I'm not sure how to change the PID values

I've had my Errlectric since November. I have 3 different nail/coil setups. (Ti , Herb Nail, FQN Banger). It never glows red. Ever. With any coil. It does not overshoot by more than a few degrees either. But it is different than a standard PID. It has no adjustment other than temp, off timer, screen contrast, etc. It will oscillate a bit, but that is usually caused by a ceiling fan or draft from the AC vent. Coils are 200W. A friend had a LIT E-nail. Glowed every sesh. Coil only lasted 6 months.

I know nothing about the gltc420 pid but you should be able to change its settings somehow

the gltc420 is the lower end gimido PID for 120 usd right now, and glad to hear im not the only one!

i hear amazing things about errlectic everywhere but that damn price point keeps pushing me away!

So all of your coils are from errlectric and are all 200 w? Is that the standard wattage they put out on their coils? have you plugged a non errlectric coil in your errlectric box?

my 100w gimido works perfectly with my gimido pid. only things touched were what temp i wanted it on.

honestly, i would never pay 500$ for an e-nail. i built mine for about a fourth of that

i just checked the cable itself and turns out the official gimido coil that came with it is 120W, maybe that is what is causing the problem?!

This is the same exact PID I have on right now lol. I haven't even tried to change the settings. It works perfect with the 100W coil I have. i'm not sure why Gimido has sent all these different wattage coils out? Before they even specified wattages is when I ordered my flat coil and they sent me a 180 w coil.

idk why they sent you a 120w coil either????

lol ok so now i just need to figure out how to tweak the PID, should be able to find a manual somewhere, will try tomorrow

200w seems to be standard. I have not tried a non Errlectric coil on my box. With 3 of theirs I have no need.

$500, that's just the beginning. Check the nail prices. Yes the price is steep, but the quality of construction and materials reflect that. They are made in USA from nearly all US sourced parts. So I'm paying for that too. That's ok. I'm a Union man so I'm cool with that.
