The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

I've dished out hundreds upon hundreds on portys like the pax1, solo, and mflb etc. only to be disappointed in the end on many levels. Guess draw restriction is really a huge problem for me.

I have the solo, (a newer one with better air flow)
it's ok but the draw resistance is still too much for my liking.......
...so i bought my mighty ...... and it is everything they had wrote. "no draw resistance" , yep I agree.

if that's your main problem, I don't think you will be disappointed with a mighty.

Massey does yours stick to F when you pick it, turn it off and back on again? If not it's not a new unit.

Thanks, it does stay on F

How did you formulate your question to edit exactly?

Just be lucky in any cases you have a mighty!

Edit: since you are in UK you don't have to worry about weird Fahrenheit luckily :D or isn't UK using the metric system? I know you are driving on the wrong side of the road... But on CNN wheather channel temperature is in Celsius. Correct me if I'm wrong!

I'm aware of the fact there is only one 'model' as such, sorry I didn't word my previous post very well. I wanted to be certain I got the latest model just to (hopefully) avoid any posting to Germany and back(I know S&B have good customer service but obviously I'd rather not have to send it anywhere) In my question to them I was very specific about the blue o-rings and a serial number over 10,000. Their reply was simply "Our sales manager has confirmed this is the latest version available"

Indeed, we use Celsius most of the time here!

EDIT: Presumably S&B reconditioned a unit, or is the serial number not as concrete as I thought?

Ok, in this case they lied to you or they simply aren't well informed and didn't care, and I would be pissed if I was in your place. I would let them know this and see what they are offering. Perhaps new o-rings for free?

Other members were posting they had slight traces of usage in the bowl on reconditioned units, but this was in warranty cases. If I remember right the reconditioned units weren't sold in sealed boxes with accessories. Could be I'm wrong.

Probably you just could send it back to edit and buy somewhere else. Or you could simply wait and hope your unit is good and change the o-rings. At least you don't have to send it nowhere!
If the battery indicator is showing a full charge and if it powers up on empty batteries, you shouldn't have real disadvantages of having a lower serial. Try if the batteries are loose and if there is an rattling sound when shaking the device from front to back.

My 1k model still does the business. Only problem I have is it never looks like it's finished charging (still need to send it to S&B for recalibration), other than that I have abused it daily for 6 months, dropped it numerous times and accidentally kicked it across the floor once and it has never missed a beat. Early model or later doesn't really matter, it's solid.

Oh and I've shaken the shit out of it and hit the bottom to get the ABV out multiple times a day, everyday, the Mighty doesn't flinch

I've had my Mighty for two weeks now and I love it today just as much as when I first received it. I sold a bunch of vaporizers to fund my Mighty purchases and don't regret it one bit!

I hear ya, bought mine at top dollar, ($469) but I have zero regrets. It's simply a well designed vape and it will fit most any style of use. Fine grind to no grind, clouds to sips, low temps or scorcher, it imply works very well.

Yeah I think the key words when it comes to the Mighty are performance and consistency. There is no learning curve. You simply put as much or as little as you want, at whichever temperature you prefer, and you're set. My Haze is a balancing act. You have to hold it the right way, grind it right, pack it the right way and so on and so forth. The Mighty is a superior product with superior performance.

I am pretty pissed, I sent them an email asking what had happened and why I haven't got the latest o-rings so hopefully I might get something out of it.

Guess for now, if it holds Fahrenheit hopefully that's a good sign. Not sure I could bare packing it up and sending it back without even using it :(

just send it back and then get it from vapefiend, they will have the latest units and they are shit hot to deal with, returns policy is awesome ! You'll never be without a vape for longer than a day or two , I know from experience

So what do you recommend? I need something that can easily go in a small travel bag. I think it does do a good job reducing the smell. I am not sure if there is truly a "smell-proof" bag.

I bought the Pelican 1040 micro case along with some doob tubes and foam... it is perfect. Compact enough to put in the center console of my car and 100% smell-proof.

The Pelican looks perfect for the Mighty, I presume you cut the foam yourself? How deep is it? any chance of it holding the filling aid and or grinder instead of doob tubes?

Sorry for all the questions I like to be well informed before spending my precious ££ :D

Thanks again for all your helpful responses, people. This forum is awesome.

I ordered the Mighty direct form S&B this morning (with free overnight shipping) and according to FedEx it shows up tomorrow. Yay!

This is going to be only vape until I succumb to VAS and drain all my finances, culminating in a downward spiral that ends with me blowing dudes in a back ally for cash to buy my next vape.

Hi boxman, good move. You will be happy. This is a vape that will suit any needs. Kinda warpo and creeptified end game you forsaw for your self (joke), Guess some dudes put on a dress and get their knees dirty for money. Maybe you'll be lucky and end up nailing 300 pound ladies and taking em out on the town for dineros.

Thing is, even if batt is full and plugged in to the wall, when the oven heats up I think it is also giving some charge to the batt as it draws power for the heating of the oven.
I have mine always charged, I do a session or three then charge again to full. I don't vape while its plugged into the wall.
Not sure if any of this will prolong our battery's.
I've read that the mighty has passthrough charging, and that as soon as you plug it in and start using it, that it powers itself off the outlet not the batteries. Also, idk what VAS is but I think I have it since I just ordered myself a Mighty so now I have a Pax2 and Mighty just like you. Vapebros, lol

I have really enjoyed low temp vaping with the mighty, starting at 350. I have a bad habit of kicking everything up to max. But after hearing more about the concept and my recent coughing at max, I need to go lower. Low temp vaping gives me endless clouds with the mighty and the taste is so much better. With other vapes, I might need 2-3 sessions, but this thing spits out tasty vapor nonstop, where one session satisfies me.

Yeah starting off at low temperatures is better if you're having harshness problems, I haven't used a mighty but in my experience with other vapes I start off at low temps and when they stop producing vapor I bump it up and it's much less harsh that way. You should try it, there shouldn't be a reason why you couldn't vape at higher temperatures since there are desired effects at higher temperatures.
