Thanks @jon-no-h

It's called the Mouth Peace. If you look closely you'll see the name embedded in the outer rim along with instructions directing you to "hold glass while removing".

Mouthpeace.us is their site.

I'm not sure if people here are into the whip hose or don't like the hose, but we made a whip that doesn't have a hose. Have a hose free day.

We make this piece called "Viper" Hands-Free with or without a carb, and Standard (hand held)
  • With carb- You can clear it of course. Although, as you clear it, hot air seeps into the bowl from the heater. I don't like with carb for that reason, but it's popular.
  • Without carb- You take the Viper off the vaporizer if you want to clear it completely.
  • Aftermarket size (19mm)- Fits knockoffs
  • Standard- You hold it to the vaporizer only while inhaling your draw. Glass stays cool.
You can get the whole whip (including tip, grip, ceramic & metal screens) or get just the Viper replacement glass to modify your existing EZ change whip. Viper is made from 16mm heavy wall.

Some of our components come from trusted overseas suppliers, but glass like this we always get local. So we can proudly say...

I wanted to bump this thread and say how awesome this vape is. It was packed away for a while and I was seriously thinking of selling it but now I'm glad I didn't.
It sort of fell out of favor a year ago. It was my first vape and I quickly realized that the bulky nature was going to be an issue with not vaping in the house and having young ones around also. After a few short weeks I moved on to the Lotus and then the Firefly.
A week ago I was getting bored with my daily drivers and thought to pull this guy out of the box again. Jesus what a great hit this thing gives. I first thought it wasn't working because I wasn't feeling that warmness or scratchy feeling on the back of the throat when drawing on it like those other vapes. I was shocked that I was getting such awesome hits that felt like cool air and tasted great. You also get just about all the medicine extracted in 2 hits as opposed to 3-4 hits on those other vapes. It is a saver on the dry throat irritation I would get from constantly hitting those other vapes.
It s still a process to pull it out of hiding each time and set it up, but it may well be worth it. I just ordered an adapter and tubing to hook up a bubbler. Can't wait.

I have been hounding a friend of mine for I think 15 years now to sell me his vaporbros, and he finally said he would give it to me because he doesn't use pot any more. :D I think it was from 1999 or 2000. I badly need a plug in so I can use my portable, well, portable, and don't have the cash, so this will work out nicely. He only used it for a month or so, and I would always bug him to take it out and fire it up and he said he hated vaping. I liked it much more than he did.

FUCK YEAH! 15 years I have wanted one! Unless my memory is messed up.

edit: he wrote "why do you want that old thing". Shiiiiiiit. :p

Probably gonna be my best bday present EVER.

I don't have a VB now but feel the same about another whip style vape I use. I've found myself in the situation lately where I have to pack up and hide all my herb stuffs when I'm not using 'em and have to be discreet when i am so sitting back with a whip is a rare treat right now.

But when I do get to use it it reaffirms that the decision to keep it and go through the packing away and unpacking was a good one.

(maybe one day soon i'll be able to just keep it out again)

Managed to drive over and up the old VB my friend gave me. Fired it up, gave the stem a quick cleaning, whip is kinda yucky though, so I gotta figure out how to clean it out until I can get some new tubing or set up that direct glass deal.

Can I expect any new/modern VB (or other) stems or the likes to work in a unit that is ten years old or have some sizes changed? I know there is hands free now but maybe the male heater end has changed in diameter/shape?

This thing rips oretty damn good. Wish the whip was cleaner though, I want to clean the whip rather than replace. Now to get temps dialed in. :) Flavor didn't seem that awesome but I figure maybe too high of temp, tubing is nasty, and there is along airpath. Pretty powerful. Even with the load placed very far from the heat source.

It has only been used a couple dozen times so hopefully it has a long life ahead of it!

Guess for now I need to get some tubing 1/4" ID, 3/8" OD. Probably a GonG too. Anyone use the small wand?

Last night I tried out a tiny load (relatively speaking) to see how it vaped, about .07 grams before bed - vaped up just fine, basically some crumbles so maybe I don't need a bigger wand. Used a lower temp and got some flavor. I think someone may have actually used the whip to combust other herbs and it's stealing my taste but I need to dial in temperatures. One really nice thing about the whip though is it does seem to cool the vapor quite a bit. I thought I was getting nothing at first until I blew out a big cloud.

I like this vape a lot. Gonna try with some vape buddies tonight. They are excited. Can't wait to try with some new tubing so I can get the real flavor.

I like how it has a few colors for the temp set, flashes at certain levels, etc. I would paint or varnish it or something but it is in good condition. Hopefully the components themselves are still in good condition as well. Probably.

Good shit! Totally stoked to finally get a vapor brothers vape! :D

Actually I am tempted to try a few puffs with no whip, just the wand. I assume there is probably a reason that is not popular though.

I can send you a hose. It won't be stinky like the hardware store. Direct message me an address. Want to try the high temp resistant white silicone as well? It's more floppy, but it can handle being touched to hot surfaces on accident and still be fine. I will just charge a few bucks + shipping. If you want a totally hose-less solution try the "viper" whip.

Got my new tubing!

Fuck yeah. Better taste, more vapor and a stronger effect. I slept incredibly well last night from around .10 grams. That old tubing was definitely robbing me of flavor and vapor.

Thank you @vaporbrothers!

Sent me some rubber feet and some stickers as well. So if anyone needs some rubber feet in the future I can pay it forward.

If you go to vaporwarehouse.com, they sell glass joint adapters to attach your new white silicon tubing (much better than the clear tubing IMO) to a water pipe. When you do that, then you've got your Cadillac on the road son

The VB desktop is arguably one of the best vaporizers you can buy. It does its job very well and provides great favored clouds. It would be my daily driver but I can't leave a vape out and it is a little big for me to keep taking out and putting away. However, it uses a modest amount of herb to give you a superior vape experience which is only enhanced through the use of a water pipe.

I don't recall ever reading about someone who didn't like their VB.

Yeah, some of my feet keep coming off. They stick back on... but only for a few days.

PM me your address if you need a set of feet and I will put a set into an envelope for you.

I ended up getting clear tubing but it is still great. I loaded up only about .05 last night as an experiment to go even lower and it vaped decently, but I bumped up the temp from my usual 11:15 to 12:15 or 12:30. Turning it up doesn't seem to hurt flavor with the small loads from my limited experience. The material came out a very even golden brown color. I think I should be able to go as low as .035-.04 with this wand at 1:00 on the dial (for my unit). I will try lower as well of course but less than that doesn't seem to have much of an effect for me.

It heats up really fast too. I love the smell it makes when it comes up to it's happy temp.

What are the smallest loads you guys use with your vaporbrothers? I have a standard unit with standard wand.

unless you get a great deal on the VB

That we did! My wife found the Vapor Brothers Vaporizer for $1.00 at a garage sale, but without the whip. I had an E-Z Vape whip just laying around. Not a perfect fit, but it works like champ. Not bad for a total cost of about $15.00.
vaporbros.jpg

This whip has a ceramic screen that stays in place and a wire screen that covers the load. Not too bad to clean and change and the taste is very good.
I may change to a standard Vapor Brothers whip, but I would have to be convinced that it would work that much better before I shell out more money.
For now I'm very happy with this set-up.

Enjoying some fresh dried Permafrost this afternoon....yummmmm!!!! :D

Changed my setup again. I took the "globe whip connector" off the E-Z Vape and replaced it with the Ddave Mini Whip Wand. It fits just right-snug.
The small amount of weed required to fill the tiny domed screen has cut my consumption. I was able to turn the heat way down to 10 o'clock.
Gives nice tasty hits.

(By the way discussion of the Ddave Mod can be found on the EQ thread.)

Well-third times a charm. I tried using an 18mm short F/F adapter with ground glass SSV wand. Works even better. The screen in the center of the F/F adapter holds it in place, the SSV wand is loaded with herb between 2 screens-one at the top of the ground glass inside where it narrows and a basket type screen in the opening. Easy draw and no spills. Hands free. Wobbles a little, but for as good it works; I can ignore it.
I plan on at least ordering one of the original Vapor Brothers whips. At only about $20.00 it would be nice to have a stock setup as well.

Mod:Sorry for the double posts, but no one ever seems to post here anymore, except me. Vapor Brother fans- where are you?

Just over 6 months ago, my wife and I finally (accidentally lol) made the transition to fuck combustion and vaporize / dab regularly instead rather than smoke as we both have daily for around 8-9 years. My allergies and her being sick at the time was reason enough to transition at least briefly for harshness, but now smoking tastes gross except for the very rare occasional joint for some reason. It really took a few weeks of vaporizing exclusively to totally make the shift. In college I had bought a vaporbros in early 2008 not realizing it would eventually become our daily driver many years later. We use it so often the knob positioning over time got shifted 90 degrees (where noon is where it clicked on instead of 9), so we just used a power strip to find and keep temp without moving the knob.

A couple weeks ago a transistor caused the power to go out at my apartment, and a backup generator kicked in to keep everyones' fridges cold. My vaporbros was on at the time and the blue lights were more dim with the unit not getting as hot, so I turned it off until full power was restored. I just took the vaporbros out of state on a trip last weekend and it worked great, but last night it decided to stop heating up at all after working great earlier in the same day. I wonder if the power sag caused premature failure in the heating element. @vaporbrothers is there anything I can do to restore my unit back to functioning properly again? Thank you in advance for any advice and for making a great product that helped us transition from combusting!

There ARE reasons to have a rare joint! Awesome to see your story of transitioning to nearly full time vaporizing though. It's meant to be a daily driver, although I realize that whip cleaning is key.

It's true that power spikes at your house can blow up the board. The heater may still be fine. We will replace all the electronics anyway if you send it in for repair. We fix old vaporizers (a flat fee applies) or let you trade it in for a new one at approx half price. ~Linus

I am still enjoying my vaporbros myself. It's nice to just hold the wand against the heater at any time and take a puff on demand.

I love it for at night, for in case I wake up in the middle of the night and can't sleep, I just take a few puffs with the lights out and I am good to go.

Mine doesn't seem to get as warm as it did when I first started using it. Maybe I am just getting used to it or maybe just less visible vapor is produced under current conditions. So I am at about 12:30 on the dial now. Maybe the knob slipped a little bit?

In any case I still like it for sure. I think I might pick myself up the viper for Christmas.

Anyone have any tips for doing real small loads that don't have whispy hits? I was thinking about sliding a screen in there but more towards the heater side of the wand, almost like a basket. Then just 4-6" of whip tubing. Avoiding combustion might require practice though.

Have you tried the mini wand?

@vaporbrothers What is the expected life of the heater element? I have been extra careful over the years to not jostle or move the unit while its heating.
It is from circa 2006ish and still serves me well, but I just want to know If i should have a backup on hand just in case. TY and keep being awesome!

FYI if it goes the customer service department in top notch and will replace it if it breaks, as least from what I have heard.
