:rant:He said "box", I said "Boxes"! "...and absolutely no mention of the BOXES!":rant:There's something going on here that they're not telling us:suspicious::tinfoil:... I Hate Conspiracies! :ninja: Could sizable shipments of v3.0 GH units already have been received by the Chinese for Peking public distribution, like some FC UVO theorists strongly believe - while the rest of Earth's population floats aimlessly adrift in the cosmos? Ancient astronauts were likely the first to have introduced "Black Boxes" perhaps hundreds of thousands of years BC...:brow::ko::p:o:rolleyes:
:rolleyes::rockon:

And what's up with this giant Grasshopper found by Michael Tellinger in this thousand-year-old footprint made by a giant?

I think we're on to something here!

I'd Love to know the financial arrangement for the documentary (if any) who paid for the flight, stay etc. was there any currency exchanged

Given what I know about Buzz's trip. I'm betting GH labs did very little aside from opening the door and letting him in to document things. I wouldn't be surprised if he had to cover the flight and hotel stay himself.

It sounded like the GH team had been shopping their story around to a few bloggers for the past few months trying to get the word out about their product. Buzz and this filmmaker are the only two who've taken them up on the offer.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was a good sign (because after all at this point I would look for a way to take an email from Trevor saying "sorry, we just couldn't make it happen" to mean that I was getting mine soon).

Maybe the announcement/release of his videos is planned to coincide with the next update because he knows shipping really is going to start soon and it works to his and their advantage to release together.

If I'm going to make a documentary about a vape, it doesn't make any sense to not love the thing. Films are about creating stories, and this story would be leveraging the excitement around the GH release. I am not listening to anything somebody who got invited to GH HQ would say.

If I ever get my hands on a GH, you'll read about how it works after months of nothing less than brutal use. You'll know about if the mp gets hot, if it gets gunked and has to be cleaned a lot, if the heater craps out after 3 months, if the batteries lose their ability to hold a charge after 500 times. That's really what I care about. Cases, clips and boxes are cool, but down the road it's performance that a serious FCer will care about.

Simple fact remains that no one has had this device long enough to address those issues, although buzz is getting close! I'd rather have some information, such as first impressions, than no information at all. I personally am thrilled that someone else had their hands on the device regardless if they were "invited". I'm grateful for the two reviews and I'd guess I'm not the only one. :2c: :peace::)

Buzz isn't addressing those issues, because it's his job to review vapes, not stress test them for weeks or he'd have waited to review it. I'm not knocking him, but no reviewer is objective, by definition. We're watching trailers, which don't really tell us if the movie is any good. I still remember how good the trailer for Phantom Menace was, but the movie......not so much.

@syrupy, I agree that any reviewer, gone from amateur to professional, can no longer be neutral. But that's what's so great about all the non-professional reviews that we get from the rank 'n file here
I might suggest also that many of our "rank 'n file" here ARE professionals. There is really no greater resource of expert experience and opinion than can be found on these very FC forums where vapes are concerned!;)

Agree with both of you, and to add, I put the combustion fucker in a class even above professional reviewers. We have all the knowledge of the professionals, driven with the pure heart of a dedicated hobbyist. Vapes and vape companies will come and go, but the love remains.

All Vapes will be assimilated. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own :borg:

Maybe but I'd classify "professionals", as those who either get paid to review a vaporizer or get compensation from retailers by providing links to those retailers on their site. Most all of the "rank 'n file" here don't fall under that category.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of reviewers who get compensated for their vape reviews are amateurs at best. To even suggest that they deserve the "professional" classification is a mistake to begin with. They are at best a morsel of information to be taken with a grain of salt, no more no less. The minority of vape reviewers who are (may be) worth their salt should be taken only lightly sprinkled atop ones own experience and need to know.

Oh, you're talking about REAL professionalism. I thought that bird was instinct. :D

But we can all agree, the GH boxes look very professional.

By another token, anybody that gets paid to do anything is a professional, at that thing.

I'm not applying the word "professional" to those that know more than others but rather applying it to those that get compensated by either the manufacturer or a retailer/distributor.

In this context, I would put much more credence in reviews done by amateurs.

I'm professionally poor lol.
We are close to the mid-month update. I am expecting the worst, but hopping for the best. I wonder what color of Ti they are going to post? It would be cool to see one of each color, side by side. I think they will be very close to the cu rendered colors but who knows.
