Sure. You can't quite see how nice the seal is for the whip tube, but it looks as if the whip and the bowl were made for each other. It is a perfect seal.

Aero, either you have different MZ stems or you have a different LB whip than I have.
My whip does not fit inside an MZ stem. My MZ stems are 1/4" inner diameter and my LB whip is 5/16" outer diameter. So my LB stems come very close to fitting inside my MZ stems, but not the tube itself.

p.s. I love using my little whip with my LB. It cools the vapor very nicely. Of course I don't take it with me if I go somewhere to use the LB, but I use it while I'm watching tv sometimes.

My LB also doesn't fit my stems. I think my whip is different. Yours seems sorta clear, my is totally beige, you can't see thru it at all.

Just wanna say a quick thanks to Rick for being so quick with a reply on a mz question. I put my order in today, 02/01/10, looking forward to try this art out. Can't wait. Like i said Rick, I'm no huge rush (been waiting on a pd for over 2 months ) Just make it with ur majic touch.

Im currently waiting for the 13.5 to arrive but Ive had the MZ for for around 9 days now. Gotta say I never had doubts. Works like a "Champ". Finally got my packing technique down, the MZ seems to be getting hotter but i still use a koozie when I think its too cold.

So currently ill pack the stems using the round tip of the "packing" tool that DOESN'T fit in the stem that Rick sends with the MZ.
Two or three pushes into the stem and Its good to go and you wont "Over pack" and the bud don't fall out and you don't have to pack it further with the smaller end.

After a few pulls ill use the smaller end that fits into the stem to crush herb a lil and sometimes gets a lil more out of herb.(the pull is a lil harder)

I hit it hard enough to be "hitting it" and slow enough to let the hot air heat up the herb. Except on the last HIT. Then I pull like no tomorrow

**I was using the inhale method of packing but I was paranoid that I was inhaling some of the keiff when thats what I wanna vape off the herb right?

I'm guessing Aero has the older MZ stems with the bigger ID.

So, "kids, if you've got the new MZ stems (I think maybe before December? Rick?) don 't try Aero's trick at home!"
Ah, go ahead and try it! But it won't work.

But using a plain stem (no bowl in it) to stick into the bong , with 1/2" silicon tubing in between that and the stem at the MZ seems to work just fine for me, in any case.

So, my MyrtleZap arrived today. And boy do I love it.

It hardly uses any herb, and delivers a huge punch per bowl. Especially with the 13.5v adapter. I plugged it in with that after a few sessions and noticed a dramatic difference. Simply amazing.

Not to mention, the essential oil lavender smells amazing in between sessions. It's a great touch. I'd recommend this vape to anybody - it beats the pants out of my Iolite in terms of having a nice, reliable toking vape session.

I'm fully vaked. And satisfied with my purchase.

That's weird that I have the old stems. I bought the MZ in January... oh well. Works for me.

Everybody that purchased a Zap or stems in the last month and a half or so got the new stem stock. It is 1/2" OD and 1/4" ID. The old material was 5/8 OD and about 3/16" or less ID. The older stem stock has a SMALLER ID.

You are getting it. It takes practice for consistent quality pulls. Slow down the pull. When we pull too hard, it is like trying to get water through a kinked hose. Slow down the pressure(vacuum) and you will get more and it will be easier getting it. You are also packing with the wrong end of the tamper. Pack with the end that goes into the stem tip. Medium pack. The rounded end will not pack the stem tip at all. Those tampers are actually wooden axles for small wood toys.

Yesterday was wood day. My regular supplier had me sweating last week as he was going to ship Monday and we did not get anything all week. Then yesterday we get the call from our Post Office, about 25 miles away. 3 big bundles of Myrtlewood sticks! Within an hour my old friend calls to say he is bringing over some of the 30+year old stash of Myrtlewood he is selling for an 80 yr old widow. I am stocked up now and good to go. Even a surprise in the pile. It was late when we went through it so I was not as "attentive" as earlier in the day so I am anxious to get out and turn some to see what we have. There is a larger amount of the lighter or blonde wood but it is almost all very rippled from what I can tell early in the game. Will probably be running a "curly blonde FC special" soon.
I will get some pics up later today of some roughed out blocks. That would be turned and initially sanded but no top or front picked yet.

No I know what your saying and I got the Email from Zaplady telling me something like you were saying.

Here are some blocks I turned today. They will be going out this week but I have very similar wood as I just took a Zap out of different blocks and have the rest of each block remaining.
Our picture taking skills are amateur at best but you can get an idea of some of the wood types we currently have look like.
No finish, just an initial sanding on the lathe and a good rub, also on the lathe, with my hand. They still have to be bored and re-sanded before assembly.

Nah, I keep my loads light, I find I get milkier hits that way. I usually get one really good hit followed by a handful of lighter hits.

I would say that the best way to get milk hits from your Zap and a bong would be the 13.5 and the MZ stem directly on the GoNG stem. I like using the silicon tubing method with guests, but for me its straight stem to stem action and I get some pretty sick hits when Im in the mood to look at mass vapor.

AG, how tight do you pack your stems?

The 13.5 with my ehle gets thick vapor. Maybe not quite what the big dogs can do, but damn close. Certainly on par with some of the videos people have posted around here.

I try to not pack them *too* tight... I guess what I would consider comfy as if I was hitting the Zap normally - in fact, I have to pack it a little bit looser when bonging it.

I still get some nice ass hits
