Discontinued The Persei Vaporizer for herbs and concentrates.

Do generic globes fit from other brands? Maybe I can get a generic to hold me over until I can stock up on boro globes.
It's the same size as most globes ive seen. You should take your base with you, just in case, as some of the globe stuff my local shop had was a different size.

I just noticed on the w9 site that chrome 7.4 carts will not work on the Okeanos. Why is that?

So are the alphas ready to ship??? I need globes, but don't want to wait if the alpha is not shipping yet.

Ok...I am officially confused. How the hell am I supposed to use these globe coils? Do I need an adapter?? I thought it was a complete kit, then realized I needed a globe? But now I also need an adapter.

I ordered 7 coils and my friend ordered 6, but we can't even use them? How do we get this to work? Do we have to buy 13 additional globe carts? At that price the deal was barely worth it.

tharealmclovin,
Yes but that also means I have to place another order and pay shipping again.
The globe includes a base and glass, as well as 2 replaceable coils. What you purchased are just the replaceable coil. Coils are 510 thread, so will fit in pretty much any globe. I like the build quality better on my w9 globe than my generic, so I bought a 510 thread one for my cheap stuff and a 601 thread one for my w9 gear.

Extra $10 for any purchase (for shipping) is rough, but the sale will help w/ the price of anything you order. Plus, w9 ships fast (unless their printer explodes from working too hard).

The chrome 7.4 were manufactured before we introduced Okeanos compatibility across all KISS carts. Okeanos compatible cartridges require an air inlet hole in the bottom pin. Solid center pins lack the air hole to function properly inside the Okeanos chamber.

Please don't hesitate to call in the future with product questions before ordering. This way I can ensure you order a setup that will work for you and have all the items you need placed on one order so it ships together.

I don't blame you guys. Its my fault.

I found this out the hard way about the 7.4v. My Okeanos lower chamber stinks of burnt, stale wax from the time I ran it w/ a stock 7.4v. The solution for me was to swap that hollow pin from the Okeanos' included KISS cart into the 7.4v cart. Boom, upgrade. Although I should probably soak my lower chamber in simple green or something, for that stank.

Those boro globes are literally just glass replacements, no heater base, so don't get too excited about them. Just grab a $15 UPTECH globe during the sale, unless you feel like you need the backup glass.

Probably the least interesting thing about what's coming, but I love the boxes you guys use. My core and herc boxes are stuffed with uptech stuff. Going to grab this, one of those $20 perseis, and probably a few other things I don't need.
Absolutely. This spring cleaning sale totally appeals to the BUY All THE THINGS center of our brains. It's lizard brain -- fight, flight, or buy everything in sight.

Btw, I also use my boxes for storage of parts that aren't in immediate use. I figure if it's safe to ship in it, then it's safe to use as a carrying case (although the Persei case is just too big all around). Wish everything big came in something like the cool Omicron clamshell boxes!

It's funny you guys mention using the stock boxes I keep all my stuff in the box from my core all neat and organized with the foam inserts but really need a better case any suggestions on a good storage solution for Persei 8 2 hercs core nibbler and a bunch of extra stuff

how do you use the ceramic donut? I see the black wick on top. Is that where I place my concentrates?

Try it without the wick, first. I did not enjoy the wick, as it hampered my vapor production. I think the wick will be perfect for a 7.4v donut, but I'm just guessing. I love FC-2000 wicks, so it's honestly just the combo of wick and low temp donut that didn't do it for me.

Mmmm.....boxes...:mmmm:

That's more that they get on the GH thread.:dog:
All I could think about when I saw the pics was the GH, lol. But we have the opposite problem -- we were waiting on the box, not the product. Lulz.

Oh yeah, I know Gary said that the donuts aren't great w/ vv... Does that mean not good with vv devices that use PWM, or just in general (don't use on core, either, if you want it to last)?

So like... We looking at a midnight sale again?

donuts are ok with VV but what people do not understand is when supplying constant voltage above rated means bad.

The donuts are rated to handle no more then 5 amps the core cuts off at 5 amps so its safe to use with the core somewhat.

Cool. If I'm using it on a vv mod (my 510 mod globe is stuck permanently on the iStick 50w. Concerned that I'll strip the threads trying to get it out, I just left it there as a permanent globe), is there a wattage setting that is a sweet spot for it? I'm running at 4.2v, but if vw is better than vv in this particular case, I'd be happy to change my methods to something that will prolong the donut's lifespan.

Does the sale start at midnight? Will there be a code again? I'll pick up a wholly irresponsible amount of gear again, if everything is on sale all Friday/sat again.
