I'm looking to buy a new grinder is the space case worth it or is there a cheaper one that's just as good what should I get?. I've been thinking about the calicrusher is that a good one.

Cali crushers are fine I used one for 2 years. It does the job. But if you want a great medical grade grinder, get a Santa Cruz Shredder. it is the best grinder I have used. Hope this helps.

A lot of people like Space Case. I have a friend who has one and it's a great grinder. The Santa Cruz Shredder is also a great option; I've heard nothing but good about them (though I haven't had the pleasure of using one myself). I can't say much about the cali crusher, but from the few things I've heard, they seem pretty decent.

I own a 2.2 inch 4-piece SharpStone. I went with SharpStone because, well, because I'm poor and it was less than half the price of an SC or SCS. With that said though, I honestly don't think I really sacrificed much (if any) quality in going with the "cheap" SharpStone. I love it. It is well built from quality materials, and, most importantly, it grinds very nicely. Just my :2c:

EDIT: Just saw your decision to go with the cali crusher. I'm sure you'll find it does a good job. Most of the cheaper brands are pretty similar anyway, with slight variations in tooth design maybe. Let us know what you think of the cali crusher!

I have a 2 piece titanium space case, and I've had lots of more generic metal 4 piece grinders. I've said this before and this forum didn't respond particularly well but honestly, I get much more surface area and a much fluffier more desirable grind from my 2 piece acrylic sharktooth grinder. To the point where I think having to use my Space case is shit and I would rather not do so. I get many more bowls to vape if I grind using my sharktooth.
Its the same tooth design as the Storz & Bickel grinder and many people on here noticed how good it was once they used it. Plus you can get a sharktooth grinder for £2 round here. Thats my advice anyway, a SCS might be better, I've never used one.

I would never use one of my my metal grinders at home, I find the consistency they get is comparatively terrible.

As a anti grinder type i agree fully.
If i do grind, it is with my fingers or a cheap acrylic grinder that provides a fluffy medium grind which to me is the best kind other than breaking it with your digits

Grinders tend to make you prepare more than you need in advance. This is when all the volatile terpenes escape and are lost. To preserve taste I grind as needed at the last moment with my fingers. I like that organic feeling...

I don't understand why so many FC members seem to collect grinders and display them proudly in their signatures...

But I like it!
I avoid threaded grinders like the plague. Even freebies. My first one came cross threaded (gift) but it grind OK. I just need to get the strap wrench in the shop to empty it.

My wisdom, yours to use or bloop. :)

I would love to just use my fingers to touch herb but I don't like washing my hands whenever I handle product. I have been asked a couple times at work if I smoked because my fingers had a hint of marijuana and I forgot to reapply lotion.

I really like card grinders since those don't make my fingers hurt from trying to start the initial turn. Unfortunately they make my hands smell awful.

The only grinders i use now are my SCS mini, card grinder, or no grinder.

I'd get a Space Case or Cosmic case.

I currently own a Space Case 4 piece (used for 7 years), Cosmic Case 2 piece (Used for 3 years), and a Santa Cruz Shredder 4 piece (used for 3 years).

While I like the teeth and grip best on the SCS, There has been rubbing on the inside wall evidenced by a line that goes right though the anodized color, straight around the rim. I contacted them about this, and was treated to an aggressive shake down as if I did something wrong. Didn't appreciate their brand of customer service at all. Decided not to pursue anything else with them, ever.

My Space Case on the other hand is almost 8 years old and still kicking, no problems.

Cosmic Case is 3 years old, purchased it after my experience with SCS, and happy to report zero problems.

I don't know a lot about grinders. I have a great 4 piece metal grinder that I got for free for buying a vaporizer years ago. It's large and does a good job. I have plastic grinders too that I've gotten for free. The metal grinder has lasted me for years and I've dropped it several times and not even a dent. It does say GotVape on the lid but that's ok.

Just curious, is there a grinder out on the market that will grind different consistency like fine or course grinds? Like some sort of dial to choose the grind. If not somebody should invent one.
