Discontinued Haze Dual V3

Does anyone else think that the Haze should be made somewhere besides China!? I'm not intentionally trying to downgrade the quality of the Haze...but it being made in China beckons one to be a little cautious.

Consider Arizer, their vapes are made in CANADA, and they are roughly the same price! I honestly would've bought the Arizer Air if it had the Haze's features, but they don't, so I gave in to Haze (I try to avoid made in China products).

Maybe we could entice Haze to move their manufacturing to another country with better labour laws and legit manufacturing regulations!?

The Haze is a great vape, no doubt, but I dare one to imagine the difference in quality a made-in-USA Haze vape would have over the made-in-China Haze.

Either Haze should lower the cost a bit? Or as said above, preferably move their manufacturing to another country.

Thanks everyone.
There are many quality vaporizers (and many other products) made in China. One, China is not what it used to be. Two, companies who are successful in China generally have some oversight on the manufacturing process. In other words they have someone from their company who oversee's the process and performs quality checks to meet our standards. I am pretty sure this is the case with Haze and personally I am satisfied with their quality.

Could it be better? Of course.....all vaporizer companies could make some improvements. At least Haze really listens here.....

Should it cost less as you say? Well that is where I don't think we know the whole story. This is a small/startup company who invested a ton of money in planning, design, engineering, production and distribution. That doesn't even count the advertising and marketing expense. This money has to come from somewhere and each vaporizer company has to consider how much of the sale price goes into each one of these buckets and I am sure it's different for everyone. Also look at what else Haze is doing that other's can't touch. The pay-it-forward upgrade program.....I'm thinking this is no money maker for Haze but it builds their brand and keeps the customers happy with the latest and greatest all while supporting those in need. I don't see others stepping up like this......

What I look at is what is the price/performance ratio versus the competition. Is the Haze on the high side of the cost? Well yes maybe. But it's also on the high side of innovative features and function so I think it warrants the price regardless of where it's made.

You should contact Apple and see what they say, just b/c it's made in China doesn't necessarly mean it's lower quality. Maybe you just need to be more informed? You should check out the cheap high quality bubbler thread...:2c::peace:

Thanks for your replies. I totally understand your perspectives. It's not like I haven't thought of it all like that! lol

But you guys both made assumptions about something you don't even know to be true or not. I however do know. I emailed Haze in the recent past, asking them about their manufacturing details. They told me the manufacturer facility was proprietary info but made in Hong Kong, which I understand, and that they have an independent contractor for the quality controls.. So they don't actually have a Haze worker over their overseeing everything like a major company ie Apple would have. Actually Apple phones are manufactured at the Foxconn Facility, which is and has been known to violate universal human rights, common sense and decent labour laws. This is because China is one of the worst human rights abusers in the whole world. They've got 13 year old girls working 18 hour days for 30 days straight, and lots of them commit suicide, hence why Foxconn got netting to prevent suicides.. China is one of the worst places in the world to manufacture anything. Yes, you might get lucky with a decent product, but the human rights abuse that occurs there is astonishing, and we can do something about that, just stop buying products made in China!

Watch "Death By China", documentary, on Netflix or the internet in general. Greatly details how FUCKED the world has gotten since 2001 when China joined the World Trade Organization.. Since then, well, just watch the documentary.

But yes, the price of the Haze is probably justified considering what I know and what you said. The company is trying to create customer loyalty. I appreciate and am grateful for what they've offered the public so far. I understand that they obviously care more about human rights issues then Apple, and in doing so, I hope that the facility is practicing decent labour laws and regulation protocols. In fact, they emailed me and told me that " The product is also CE certified now in accordance with ISO 17050-1:2004" which is a great sign.

Obviously the Haze is a decent quality vape, and it very much seems like the company puts alot of effort in trying to oversee the manufacturing process and ensuring quality controls, which I greatly appreciate. Maybe a video from @Haze Vaporizers showing the manufacturing plant in China, the workers, the quality control guys, the process, the materials, etc..., would, one: reduce the reasonable caution that arises when buying China-made, and two: would greatly increase brand appeal and transparency for the public, which would increase sales, and a lot of happy customers!

You are speaking of quality and then bring up a human rights issue? These are both important but I think they are separate.

No need to derail this further. I am open to discussion in PM if you would like.

We both agree that the Haze is a quality product so at least we have that.

You are also making just as many assumptions though, just because Haze doesn't have one of their own keeping an eye on things doesn't mean it is sketchy. Although there are plenty of issues overseas I'm sure there are plenty of businesses that do not fall into that category and are at par or better than US manufacturers even without oversight from the company using their services. Is it possible? anything is but without actually going and keeping an eye on everything ourselves there is no way to know and any side you lean towards will come with some assumptions, some just better supported than others.

Either way it is a solid vape, an amazing company with crazy good customer service so I don't really even see a point in worrying about it since the warranty will outlive the products version and the company goes out of its way to fix any issues, even when they're not even real issues (see Haze sending new battery & mp bc despite being told it wasn't necessary etc.)

I love how human rights and manufacturing process is the only negatives that are being discussed when it comes to Haze. Be careful with all these though, Haze folks may take this under their to do list as usual and we may see a V4 made in New York :)

Bought a new bed for my haze

I think she will love it :)

@We5d , I would love to see how Haze will fit into this. Looks like a cool one. Can you share images when you receive it?

Sorry everyone, my intention was not to derail this thread. My goal is to just understand more! Sorry if I came off as condescending or obtrusive... I wanted to know what people thought about the thoughts that I had about those subjects! lol

Basically, I agree with just about everything you guys have said. I was just interjecting some thoughts about the manufacturing, quality, etc... I appreciate all your answers and opinions.

I've been reassured by Haze, that their facility is ISO approved, which stands for something for sure! Oh and I never meant to imply that because Haze has an indy quality controls contractor that it somehow means that they are lacking in that dept. Clearly Haze is on top of things, and everything thus far has proven so.

Thanks again, sorry if I'm derailing a bit. To me, it's all relevant to the Haze, and other vapes too.

Do any of you find the vapor too hot? Cool vapor is the main reason I'm considering the Mighty; my throat and lungs seem to be a little sensitive to hot air.

Honestly that's the only reason I'm considering the Mighty; it's known for cool vapor.

I have only tried one vaporizer and it's the Haze. It's everything I had expected it to be, after reading most of this thread and watching reviews. The vapor stays plenty cool enough for me and my sensitive lungs. I use convection screens and settings 2 and 3. I can't imagine any other portable vaporizer doing much better than the Haze.

I also looked at the Mighty but it just couldn't match up to everything offered by the Haze.

Is the Haze on the high side of the cost? Well yes maybe. But it's also on the high side of innovative features and function so I think it warrants the price regardless of where it's made.

The cost is also worth it for what Haze Tech provides by way of customer service and the Pay It Forward program. Does any other vape company come close?

My replacement Haze is in the mail and I should have it on Friday. I thought about looking at other vapes again but the Haze just fits.

lol agreed, with the customer service you see people talk about I would say it is worth any bit of extra $ I think it may cost over other vapes but throw in the upgrade program and then theres no point of even talking about it (unless you plan on stopping vaping) To be able to continually upgrade your unit as new ones come out is probably one of the most unique and coolest thing Ive heard of

oh and that case looks pretty solid. Could see the Haze fitting nicely along with an extra battery or 2 + a can case

So as a rule on the net i avoid any political, religious or any other topic that falls under this umbrella  i think we all know how they end (or not end as it goes:lmao:)

But on a price point i think the Haze is actually well placed:clap: just when you think about what you get in the box never mind the warranty and pay it forward scheme.

Now the prices i use here are just rough, but the charger lets say £20 (similar to nitecore) extra battery £10 (most others only give one in the box) so there is £30 off the £160 price making it £130  (Arizer solo price)

Now if i compare this to my arizer air the £160 start price needs an arizer charger £30 and extra battery £12 to get similar extras so this puts it at £202 (crafty price) so thats a £72 difference for similar setup.

Also in regards to plastic used, most of my portables have some somewhere  I mean my crafty is mainly plastic, for me its the air path that matters and the IMO Haze have a good setup here:clap:

Just my :2c:

...nothing wrong with plastic...according to the late George Carlin, the Earth evolved Humans so that we would create plastic...seems the Earth didn't have any and it wanted some...:rofl:

Actually there's quite a bit wrong with petro plastic. Firstly, it's made from petroleum and takes forever to break down, is highly toxic for organisms and the environment. Secondly, plastic made from HEMP would be totally fine, safe, affordable, easily obtainable, and biodegradable, renewable, etc..!

Of course your comment is satirical, i hope... But wouldn't it be nice to have hemp based plastic in our vapes?

What would be the major differences between using petro plastic vs wood for the units shell/housing?

I understand the vapor air path shouldn't touch plastic, and thankfully it doesn't in the Haze. But what about the rubber/silicone lids for the cans? That stuff doesn't seem like it would be very good to constantly heat up to 400+ degrees F as it could release rubber compounds into the vapor...

Nevertheless, Haze is amazing, best available IMO. Improvements are part of progress! I'm sure Haze will greatly improve upon many facets in the near future!

Your comments about plastic are just as off-topic here as your comments about human rights. Please stick to posts about the Haze vapourizer. Also, from the rules:
  • If you have a question or comment regarding material safety, post it in General Discussion. Do not post it in a model thread.

FC Family,

I wanted to share this new cool accessory that will be available in few weeks. We have been working on this for quite some time now since we had all other development priorities based on your feedback so this one was neglected for a while. I wanted to share this since there were questions about this. I also saw that one of the members has beaten us to it with something cool and similar. We will price this accordingly so we will not hurt Delta 3D Studios sales with this as we appreciate and respect the time and effort of individual artists who create really cool accessories for the Haze owners.

Some of you who participated in the Haze slogan contest are already entitled to this key chain accessory exclusively for FC Forum and we will be shipping these out as soon as they arrive.

As always, we are very appreciative to all customers, reviewers and FC members who provided us feedback and ideas, also all FC contest participants who joined to the party with their cool slogans without even owning a Haze.

Lastly, we want to thank one more time to FC Management for allowing us to be part of this awesome community.

Here is the new accessory key chain from Haze Tech

That is awesome! Great job, can't wait to check it out (eventually #spenttoomuchalready) I think the keychain & the printed cases will serve their own purposes and both can come in handy in different situations
