Too sticky to grind

Just got a bunch of incredibly dense, sticky meds. I break it up into tiny pieces, leave it out for a few hours or overnight on a piece of paper, & then attempt to grind it. But even this is not very successful, as it's so sticky it sticks in the grinder! My vapes (Air, eNano & soon the Summit) seem to prefer dry herbs.

Is the only alternative to put a piece in the vape on a low temp to dry it out first?

Any other suggestions?

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too
Do you mean wet? Also what grinder you using?

Never had weed that sticky before just from resin. You're lucky.

Ok, now back to sniggering at your thread title.

You should hook up with the 'are you mouth pumping' guy.

I'd do whole bud extraction. It will dry it out more. If it's not cured all the way than the taste will not be as good. I thought mine tasted terrible. I let it set out a day or 2 and it was perfect. But just like @h3rbalist said you are either one of the luckiest man alive of you need to wait a day or 2 more.

As they stated, is it wet sticky OR super trichome sticky?
Wet---dry more
Super sticky trichomes---lucky you.

I had some Blue Amnesia which was very fluffy (not dense) and very sticky (lots of trichomes).
My SCS grinder is usually perfect but this would slightly shred and those fluffy/sticky pieces would stick to the blades/ stick to the holes/ not drop thru the holes. I had to take a pencil and nudge the pieces off the blades/ nudge the pieces thru the holes of the 3 piece grinder.

I just posted about this in the HA thread... you could vape it with an herbalAire! No need to let those fresh terps dissipate.

No grind, no stir, HA extraction life~

@ only $160 a pop on ebay, it's worth (IMO) having in the kit for times like this, when one gets more freshly cured bud.

The above suggestions are great but be aware that air drying REALLY potent bud over something like a cable box, modem, etc, could really stink up your room so if smell is a concern, be cautious.

I've found that this kind of drying can smell much more than actually vaporizing.

Sticky from resin, not wet. But also not medical grade so who knows if it's properly cured.
Surprisingly enough, a cheapo freebie plastic S&B 1-piece grinder seems to work best..

Believe it or not, It didn't even occur to me that this was a potentially x-rated thread title..
Thanks for pointing it out, I needed a laugh!

Yes, I've had to just break it up into little mini mugs to air out, then attempt to grind, somehow get it out of the grinder, then let it air out some more. One little budlet at a time, while I leave the rest in the jar to at least partially cure, so I have something to vape while its curing.

....and by the way, actually I am one of the luckiest women alive, but for many more reasons also!

Now that's an idea...but I'm not into whips & balloons & pumps...jeez, now that sounds a bit "50 Shades of Vape"!

The HA works very well direct draw with water, just need to get the TonG from them: http://www.herbalaire.com/store/p1/H2.2_Glass_Adapter_(TonG).html ($30 shipped)

And enough clearance on your piece, a sidecar piece like FC-187 works great. HA is pretty light so weight is not an issue.

Thanks for the info. Guess my D020 would work. These days, though, I'm more into portables. I love communing with nature and a vape rather than staying inside with a noisy old pump.

D020 would work, though you'd need to tilt your head while hitting, since the HA is relatively tall and wide at the base. I hear ya on the portables, nothing better than being able to vape on a beach or in a forest.

Oh to further clarify the pump point, the HA doesn't need the pump to function (only in bag mode), in fact I use it much more frequently without pump. HA design is modular in this regard, pump is external and hooks up with tubing, and is also easily replaced with a quieter pump.

Here is a dry setup I used for a while on the HA, it's the TonG with an 18mm female glass MP (dat flavor). The MP here could also be a hydratube/pnwt, or flip it upside down and use with bubbler/bong.

Is it black market shit or medical grade weed? If it's black market it could be as fresh as lettuce! They do shit like that, zero drying, zero curing...
I get Meds from stores that need drying/curing all the time. Medical grower != artisan producer.

Your stash is wet fo sho - wet meaning it's fresh cut. Needs a few days straight of drying/curing. Stop doing it 1 bud at a time. Take the top off for an hour a day and it will be properly cured later down the line. Alternately, take it off for a few hours, fewer times. Moisture hides in the center of the bud, especially in the stem. You are drying from the outside in. What happens is you dry the outer layer and then once sealed, the plant material tries to reach an equilibrium. Some of the moisture in the stem is pulled to the outer part of the bud, and you need to dry it again. Weight loss is likely negligible, but it's still a bit of a shady practice. Tell your connect not to slang you stuff that requires work at the same price as something that is ready :) I'm guessing you don't need a second job as MJ troubleshooter.
