I wouldn't worry at all about it, Vicki. I e-mailed them about ordering a replacement brush and getting new screens. They're sending me a brush for free.

When did you talk to them? No offense, but I think my order should have at least been processed by now.

When I was impatiently waiting for my herbie to come, my order always said "processing" and I emailed Carrie with my concern. Herbie was actually en route yet still said processing the whole time. So something is up with the order status updates but You can always shoot her an email

I filled out the contact form on the Herbalizer website.

***Edit:

Carrie got back with me via email. Apparently, they are still having problems with their website. (I placed my order via the Herbalizer website) My order was shipped out Monday, and she gave me tracking numbers. :)

Also, they said they have gotten enough complaints about the brush where they are re-designing it.

I agree. Should be closed on the bottom end to make a better stir tool at the least.

Shortly after purchasing my Herbie, I bought some Vapir cleaning brushes recommended on the EVO forum. I don't have the EVO anymore, but I love the cleaning brushes for use in my Herbie bowls.

The end of the brush cleans the screen at the bottom of the bowl and the sides of the brush get the bowl sidewalls. The braided metal handle is easy to twist between your fingers to rotate the brush in the bowl.

I snipped the last inch or so off my brushes so I also have an effective stirring and poking tool at the other end. It's everything I wish the Herbie brush was for only $2 a brush at full price.

For those who prefer something more like the stock Herbalizer brush, I also really like the Magic Flight brushes. They last a long time and and the wood handles are nice to use.

How well does that Vapir brush clean the bottom screen? Do you bend them? I have similar brushes to that one and the tip always is pointy and scratches more than cleans off the ABV dust.

Another awesome and *free* option is to grab the makeup brushes from Macy's/Nordstrom/<insert female department store> They are just like the vapir brushes and you can bend them pretty easily to help scoop them out. In fact, I think I will do that later tonight to try it out with a different bend.

The Vapir brushes work well for me without bending. There's about ¼" of bristle that sticks out past the end of the metal and the stiffness is perfect for me. I always brush out my bowl while it's still quite hot because it cleans up best that way. I wonder if the cosmetic brushes are made to withstand heat? I do know that some bristle materials resist heat better than others. I never go to female department stores, but that sounds like possibly a good option if the brushes are heat resistant.

I used it yesterday with ground herb and it worked nicely. Obviously the top screen stayed clean, but so did the Haze screen. After comparison, the haze screen has a coarser mesh on it, so that's probably why it is not getting gunked up. If I use an extra screen again it will probably be a normal one just on top of the load because I like to keep my Haze screens in their shape! Thanks for the tip!

Totally understand man. I ordered a separate pack of Haze screens so I wouldn't have to worry about constantly reforming them.

Please keep me posted on how well adding an additional herbie screen on top of your herb extends the longevity of your top screens. I probably wouldn't mind changing out my screens so often, but I cannot ever really get my top screen pushed in where it feels like it is appropriately in the groove like that first screen from the factory.

@Highland7 your vapor looks very thick in the bag. If you were to hold that up in your field of vision against say, a TV screen can you clearly see the images on the screen still?

@cilants there is a way to do so. I haven't done it yet myself but someone posted an image demonstrating that if you pull up firmly enough on the valve it will reveal the bag connector where you can disconnect your old bag and attach a new bag.

Hi guys this is my first post!

I just got my herbalizer in the mail today and I'm extremely excited to get vaping some lemon haze shatter that I have 20g of!

I've been using my brothers herbie in the past few weeks and I made up my mind to pull the trigger on my own unit. These machines are beautiful to use and I have no complaints. I did however make a bag stand out of a coat hanger to support the bag while it fills. It bugged me that I had to hold up the bag or get reduced flow.

I've also made my own bubbler/chiller from an old vacuum bottle and I LOVE IT! It really makes the hits smooth and if I'm just using ice the flavour is wonderful. I'll post pics later on.

I received my Herbalizer order this afternoon. I immediately replaced both screens, and both rubber bumpers. The bowl has always reminded me of a bumper car.

I have got to tell you, the difference is night and day. I knew the bowl was leaking, that's why I replaced the bumpers. Now, no leaks at all! I'm blowing denser bags, and making more vapor too, most likely just from replacing the screens. :)

A few months ago, I remember a few users on the forum had issues with the metal ring detaching from the bottom of their Herbie bowls. I just had the same thing happen to mine so I contacted Herbalizer support. Exactly 10 minutes later I received a response that they will replace the bottom half of the bowl and send a label for me to return the old one.

After dealing with a number of other warranty issues on other vaporizers, I have to say this is the best customer service I've received so far. It sure doesn't seem like a company that plans to go out of business.

Is it normal to have a plastic taste when run for the first time?

Never mind, that disappeared after I cranked the Herbie to 445 and heated the tube up.

It's now white walling my homebrew icebath bubbler with the lemon shatter at 430 *F. :science:

Guess the price point puts this vape out of the reach of many people. There's not much chatter on it.

it's the 9th most popular plugin vaporizer thread with 245 pages. All that for one of the newest plugins on the market. I'd say the chatter is comparatively heavy for the Herbie

How long do you guys use your bags before you pitch them? Mine gets sticky really fast. :(

One thing the herbie needs is a glass attachment to use with hydratubes. I know ratchett has a silicone adapter (haven't tried it). I would like one that fits inside or around with a 14 or 18mm adapter that is all glass. Something that allows the full airflow like the bags.

Another option could be to make the whip adapter into a water pipe attachment. Just thinking...

Edit: this is for you, the herbalizer company to research, develop, and make money on a new accessory. At the same time, the solution might also solve the leaking bag issue (I have never experienced this issue but have only done the bags a few times)

Yeah what the herbie sorely needs is a way to hook up to water rigs and also a chamber with a wider opening for more flow.

It also needs a way to support the bag while it's filling. Made a coat hanger stand but it looks pretty DIY if you know what I mean.

My brother used one of his bags for 10 months before it got too sticky. He was pretty surprised how long it lasted.

Wow, 10 months! That's a long time. My bags get so sticky after just one week that it makes filling the bag more difficult, and it takes a lot longer to fill to capacity too. It makes me wonder if I am taxing my Herbie too much when that happens, or maybe I'm wasting vapor.

Ordered some screens from the Herbie website and 2 weeks later i had yet to receive them. I emailed customer service and they sent me the tracking number, it hadn't been updated in over 10 days from usps. To make things right customer service expressed me more screens via FedEx express. Usps finally sorted things out and although i waited more than two weeks due to usps the Herbie team made it right and i ended up with double the screens.

Good cust service in this instance no doubt. I always got quick responses too.

Check your screens, don't pack your bowl too tight and keep the bag upright when filling. I've found that the fan doesn't have much push power when it's taxed and anything short of full flow will not fill the bag completely with one fan cycle.

What are you running through your herbie and what temp?

I always fill bags at 445F. I just put in brand new screens, and new bumpers. I never fill the bowl more than half way, and always loosely packed.
