I think when you get old, they have you tie a piece of tubing around the base of your personal organ when it gets big to keep it that way for 7 minutes at least.

I wouldn't know... ;)
But it's good that the tubing can serve multiple purposes!

Why don't you just ship it to someone in the states and then have them ship it to you?

Everyone wants one like Reeses or similar. I just popped open a stick today that is similar but on the lighter side. Very nice. I see yours has not shipped yet so I will jot down your request....oh, I see it was already there(the request) by magic I guess.

lwien, here's more useless information for you ;) , but maybe some other TubeZappers might find this worthwhile.

A tubing review as it pertains to the Myrtlezap:

I got the replacement soft blue tubing from Mcmaster in one day (they ship from my state).

I got both the 1/2" blue soft silicon tubing that fits over the outside of the stem and I got a 1/4" diameter soft silicon tubing that fits over the end of the Launch Box glass "elbow tube with a bubble" thing (I'm not a glass guy, I don't know what you call these things), so I could try both sizes of tubing.

Here's my verdict: the big 1/2" ID blue tube works very well and is way softer than the "firm" one I mistakenly bought, before. It can crease but not very easily. The occasional crease is not a problem, in other words.

Now as to which gives better vapor, the large tube or the small tube. I'm not really sure this was a fair test because I may not have gotten a super tight seal on the end of tube going into the bong down stem. I just shoved it in there until it seemed tight, then I also held it tight with my hand, and think I was getting a good seal.

I got very good vapor using this set up. However, the tube is rather unwieldy and awkward just due to the mass of it, being 5/8" outer diameter and somewhat heavy as a result.

But I got equally good vapor with the 1/4" tubing attached to the glass piece from Magic-Flight, and this is a much user friendlier set up in the sense that the 1/4" tubing is much less unwieldy and less likely to cause your Zap to fall over. It's kind of cool how it will swing around the long stem adaptor instead of pulling it over. The glass stem thing rotates 360 degrees with the tubing.

So I vote for the 1/4" ID tubing on the basis that it works equally well or close to it, and is more manageable. I'd be curious if someone else has tried that and the 1/2" ID tubing, and has a differing opinion as far as which gives the best/bigger/easier hits. I wonder if having a GonG adaptor for the 1/2" tubing like I have with the 1/4" tubing would make it better?

Anyway, so here's my latest set up, with the 1/4" ID NSF-51 soft silicon rubber tubing from McMaster.com.

MoeOnTheMoon, you are putting too much water in your bong. You are supposed to put enough water to just cover the slits of the diffuser.

This will help with the drag! ;)

If the water reaches the mouth then there is too much, if not, it's ok, that's my way of doing ;)

moe...that is a seriously rigged system there! a zap to LB tube to purchased tubing to a gong connector to a bong! Awesome!

Looks like you could eliminate the loop and go straight from the MZ to the bong with a very short piece of tubing? Less condensation that way. Also, how about trying it with a short stem?

hey rick, I noticed you tend to give the myrtlezaps you sell names. Do you do this with all the myrtlezaps you make? I think it's kind of neat that you name some.

Where have you seen that Rick gave them names?
There's too many to give them all names. Nice thought though!

He sent out a few and referred too several of them by name. But those ones were the really wild and crazy looking myrtlezaps. I think he called one Dark Chocolate or something along those lines. I may be remembering wrong.
Was a total vaped out when I thought that question. Though I had it a few weeks back when I read it, just took this long for me to remember to ask the question. :ko:

Lost in Thought
I know mine was "The Christmas Tree" Zap :p

I was thinking of digging through this thread and gathering every picture of a Zap I can find so that a gallery could be started somewhere.
Thoughts?

Alright, here's the latest. I picked up a GonG adapter locally that looks like this:

Hooked it up:

The final result:

Will this work on a coffee table? I don't think so, and the longer tubing will definitely tip over the zap. This is probably the best extension piece for that, but the tube is heavy. It's also on the edge of being usable (kinks), but at my desk, when hooked up, it works perfectly for me and it is the best way to zap imo. The reason it works so well is that I hold the EHLE lower than the zap, and it's easier to rip a few than with the stem held in the joint. You do have to be careful of not tipping over the MZ, but if it were cradled a little bit, like I can do in my case, you'd have much less problems with the whole deal. If the bong and MZ had more heft, this would work better as it's very unstable when hooked up, but it hits great. I like that the adapter goes down to such a small size, as it help control airflow a lot better and doesn't gurgle as much. I have no idea who makes it though.
