Already feeling like a 'dab hand' with my Daisy.

Running no mouth piece config with a flipped glass mouth stem.

Holding this thing and using the mouthpiece as an extended finger, ordering people about and pointing around the place is making me feel like a king. :p

Couple of questions.

I'm filling the bowl to the first notch.
Is that the norm?

Also regarding the whistle, I can get two sounds, a jet air rushing kind of whistle and a lower tone whistle. This lower tone one seems to cause the turbulence which I crave but I'm struggling to get a constant tone.

Any tips?

@RUDE BOY you are %100 correct about the torches, when you got one of these as a daily driver you need a work horse not a flash harry.

edit.

Using a 1" plus flame, at a 2" to 3" distance from the heat intake. I tried a small flame at close range but had less success.
. . . . And another thing . . . ! :myday:

. . . I just wanted to add that I actually have more trouble hitting Daisy when I've got my tunes blasting - I find that I really do aim for, & to a certain extent rely on the audible feedback I recieve to get the most out of each interaction.

On the flipside, I don't think my buddy really whistles his Daisy at all, at least I never heard it - yet he gets solid hits all the same.

Finally, as has already been mentioned elsewhere in the thread on various occasions - if you ever find that you are drawing on Daisy & not really achieving the vapor you would expect, a little tapetty-tap-tap on the carb will more than often provide enough turbulence to shift the load sufficiently to then produce the milk you are accustomed to ;)

I'm sure others have varying techniques but this is how I am driving Miss Daisy

And from one Daisy to another . . . .

. . . . well, why not! :D

So is the original lighter that is designed for the daisy the best one for use with it ?
How easy is it to get huge clouds of vapor and is the flavor good ,on par with convection vaporizers ?

The Torch they sell isn't their design and I won't say it works best but most likely no other works better.

Clouds just start happening if you follow the directions or follow what Tommy does in the video that's on the Triihouse website it's a truly effortless cloud machine which is 100% convection so its got 100% convection flavor(with a hint of wood because it's made of wood and the herb chamber is wood).

dude, a 1" flame at 2"-3" distance from the heat tube means that the flame doesn't even enter the tube? (am i missing something cause my flame is always in the heattube.)

and when you guys say carb hole, it is the bottom one right? what is the top hole for and does anyone ever cover both of them?

Go ahead and play with yours a bit you may be amazed at the results you get not letting the flame enter the intake. Both ways work so which ever way your most comfortable with is good.

OK, I'll go play with mine  (edited - but i'm rather curious, how do most folks here torch the daisy, in or outside the HT?)

On Daisy I never let the flame into the heat intake. In fact, I like to see how far away I can keep it and get the whistle and vapor shock. Kinda like the instructions show . . .

like....omg. my daisy worked 'so well' when i flamed it inside the ht! It looks ok. holysh*t, this open up a whole new 'daisy world' to me. would anyone know whether a 1" lotus butane torch = 1" daisy torch, and would it make a difference? does this mean i have to take slower pulls with the flame not inside?

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too

Yep, flame rides about an inch above the intake.

Followed an earlier post by @RUDE BOY and tooting like a mo fo now.
Slow draw does the trick for me.

@t-dub Instructions ??!!!??
Thanks bruh.

What I also love is that this thread is only 33 pages long. That means A LOT of satisfied customers. You're hooked after the first hit, and that's all she wrote. I hope more people will catch on to triihouse. The daisy is a vas cure, and just wanted to show some love haha.

A newb in the process of becoming much more
I finally was going to pull the trigger on a cherry Daisy after lurking on this thread and on lily's. Man Triihouse vapes are incredible both in looks and function. Got to checkout to find that I will be paying almost 50 usd to ship to Canada! Looks like I will be saving up to just get usps to ship it to me. On any other purchase I would never pay upwards of a third of the price of the product for shipping,... But for Daisy I might have to make an exception.
Quick question on accessories, extra glass stem and o ring kit I think are a must but do you need an extra heat intake too?

Hey guys. First post. I found out about Triihouse from this site (just like a bunch of other awesome vapes I now own). It's my 6 month anniversary with Daisy so I just wanted to chime in on how awesome this thing is. I just started vaping about a year ago and Daisy (along with an enano) has me spoiled. Everyone who has tried her asks me where they can buy one.

She hits so lovely. A buddy of mine with almost no MJ experience took 1 hit off of her. He was snoring 30 minutes later. It cut his evening short, but was hilarious.

I've already decided to buy anything Triihouse comes out with. I bought a Lily the day it was released and I love her too. Not quite as much as the Daisy, but she's a sweet gal in her own right. What awesome vapes from an awesome company.

^^ I've had my Daisy since xmas, I share Apathyballs sentiments on how awesome this thing is. I'd buy another no question should anything happen to mine.

My stock lighter might finally be giving up the ghost. I've been surprised how long it lasted. The twist thing on the bottom of the lighter now seems to have no effect on the size of the flame. Anyone ever deal with that?

Yes mine does the same but still working... and now it's not a torch anymore, only a classic lighter!

Although I got 2 Honnest's with my Lotus and there is the same flame issue.

So I bought a cheap Prof torch lighter, flame is shorter and it's impossible to combust, but it's not for cloud chasers (although it's perfect for the Vapman!)

Mine 'works' like yours does now, like a classic lighter flame.

I've been using the larger torch that I had for my Supreme...works but cumbersome.

The moral of the story everyone is have a backup lighter. Daisy may be the best Vape out there (IMHO) but she is just wood metal and glass without a functioning lighter

Put the lighter in your freezer for 20 minutes or more
fill with butane
let the lighter warm up and use
chilling the lighter allows you to fill it further leaving less dead space, which improves performance.

I know, I sound like I'm full of shit, but try this with lighter that allows you to see your tank level and you'll see with your own eyes. Prepare to be amazed.

I was just made aware of this advice, IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. Please educate yourself before you do it, it's not recommended by the lighter or gas suppliers (both of which would profit if you did it) because it's inviting disaster as it can become a "supercritical fluid". The 'unused space' is absolutely critical to controlling pressure in some cases. If you happen to get 100% fill, you have a bomb. Seriously. What was dozens of PSI can become thousands of PSI with a bit too much heat.

Even wonder why the can butane comes in is so much bigger than it needs to be? That's because safety REGULATIONS insist on it. Same goes for the butane tank for your BBQ. The vent line is designed so you can't completely fill the tank.

That 'wasted space' is there for your protection, don't defeat the safety procedure specified by the makers this way.

Sorry to sound harsh, but this is serious business, guys get killed this way. It there's no 'expansion space' the pressure goes to scary high values. Those of us who use 'bulk fill' CO2 guns live by this. Here's the so called 'Navy chart' for CO2:
http://www.warpig.com/paintball/technical/gasses/co2pv.gif

I get it most guys don't follow such charts, let me try to help a bit. Along the bottom is % of fill, notice you can fill past 100% ratings? That's because it's % of rated capacity, not how much you can jam in volume wise. Up the side is pressure, what will turn the container into a BOMB and in our case dump some dangerous (flammable and 'frostbit cold') gas to add to the fun. We have to avoid high numbers to stay safe.

The individual lines are 'tracks' for each temperature, notice they 'break' at the 'dome shaped line' as they go right and go sharply 'off the chart' at the point where the expanding liquid (with temperature) runs our of space. Notice those lines look like they can 'go to huge numbers'? They can. Potential pressures are HUGE.

SUCH CONTAINERS ARE SAFETY FILLED BY WEIGHT, NOT VOLUME.

Unless you really know what you're doing I advise strongly against this. If you do know what you're doing you don't need my advice because you already know how dangerous it is. The very sort of thing you can 'do hundreds of times with no problems' only to go a tiny bit too far next time and have a bomb instead of a good session. Literally.

Trying to 'trick' the system to get more in than it's designed for is very dangerous IMO. Suggesting to others doing so without full disclosure is just plain wrong.

Supercritical CO2 is a great way to extract the good stuff from weed, but the rigs to do so are very thick steel, able to withstand many thousands of PSI, not the 'under 100' your lighter or fuel can is.

Again, I'm sorry to sound harsh, but IMO this is very dangerous. Very.

Please make informed decisions and stay safe. Thanks for listening.

Trii, what is the 'removable' steel tube located in the lower block of the daisy for? i think i'm going to lose it one of these days.....

tiukauleh,

That's the airpath. You should stick the tube in the same or opposite block (whichever one fits tight for you). You can push it in as far as you can and its a tight fit so you don't have to worry about losing it.
