The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

So I had this Planet vape EQ vortex adapter. Only ever elbow packed in it. Just thought I'd give the method a try and wow it taste so much better and I get roughly 2-3 more tastier big hits.

I just can't get the other screen snug and is rather annoying.

*yeah that didn't last.

Now what we need is a spring-like add-on to prevent the kink in the hose.

just get some wire and coil it around like you see springs around headphone jacks.

Made a few changes on it. Made my own basket screen so I might be able to say good bye to dome screens because I don't need them now. I can adjust the bowl size I just have to push it down a little more. Right now I have the screen probably 2.5mm past the brim of the joint. I pack the smallest amount ever, set my EQ to 230 and holy clouds.

With the SSV wand do people just use dome screens and elbow pack?

Happy to say that i scooped a used Extreme Q 2014 model off the classifieds!!

I had a bag from one of them a ew months ago and the flavour was awesome!
I love my LSV and am hoping this is a desktop version that is digital!
If not i know it hits like a train!

Got a whole pile of reading up to do!

I find the original hose from the EQ only placed maybe 1/2 inch in the DBV wand it staying nicely unkinked..

Once I have a screen to fit my F/F adapter I'll probably use it and the screen in the wand, won't worry about using an elbow screen.

but wont you find dumping the hot adapter a pain?

I think I'll probably get a test tube holder when I do this method.

My future method plans once I have everything together that I want... :

For whip with bubbler : Arizer>F/F adapter > elbow pack DBV wand > bubbler

For balloons : Arizer> F/F adapter with screen/flower > male version of this adapter with elbow screen > to herbalizer balloons with squeeze valve. I would also look for a "cap" or use a small plug to plug the adapter stem when the bag is off to make it even more efficient.

I think this would be the best balloon setup possible.. nice large screen on F/F adapter with flower, complete glass on glass connection to balloon and a pretty slick squeeze valve setup on the balloon all for quite a bit less than a volcano balloon setup..

For the whip with bubbler setup.. I'm waiting on a screen for my F/F adapter so I've been using the wand this way and it works very well. I set my temp a bit higher, usually 235-245*c, because the flower is a bit further from the heater, and I find this works well with large tastey efficient clouds. It amazes me how little material I use with only packing the end of the whip..

One think I find with the Arizer is that we are spoiled with great tasting vape! I recently purchased a Zeus Smite for portable vaporization on the go and it works well with nice big clouds, but WOW the taste is totally different than the nice smooth water cooled vapor from my Q. I had to double check to make sure I was using the same kind of flower in each device, there's THAT much of a taste difference. Next upgrade for my Smite will be a glass mouthpiece.. The taste may be coming from the current silicone mouth piece.

Got the new DDA, but it's taller than others I've broken. It does hold a screen and works better than a Cyclone, but I can't put the Q in the cupboard with the new adapter in place, so I'm still searchin...
I can't believe there are are really only a few to be found on eBay and none are like the DDA I first saw from DDave's post. $20 for an adapter? Really? :ugh:
What I got looks like ones bkpnsux has a kazzilion of - almost as tall as a Cyclone!

I hope the adapter I get is a lot shorter than the cyclone.

If you ordered it off Californiasea.com, you won't have any issues, episode666. I got mine in a while back, definitely capable of combustion, as it sits right above the heating element. I overloaded the DDA, and had the temp too high (I think it was like 440), and the balloon ended up tasting awful...the herb had ignited. Lesson learned!

Honestly, I still don't feel like Im extracting everything out of my herb. It still has greenish spots, and can typically get only 1 balloon out of it. I'll keep trying different things!

I've finally found the DDA I know and love for $13 wording the search a bit differently. Will take the plunge for it as it is what I wanted. Gotta be careful, you either get too much width wise or the space of clear glass above and below the middle/screen area is too tall. They assure me it's what is pictured. If you need screens, go for DVRez one as it looks very awesome.

This I probably about as common sense as it gets, but I got some better herb and now I can get 3-5 balloons out of only a small amount (-.2), as opposed to 1 balloon out of the previous herb I've been getting. So that was my extraction issue; nothing to extract...lol

So I just looked at the DDA on californiasea.com after hearing someone post about it being $20. A month ago it was $12, ever since DDave put it in his signature, the demand must have gone way up, because now it is $20 (SYN version is $25)!! That really sucks guys, maybe after he doesn't sell as many he'll lower the price some. I think $20 is too much, but apparently they are becoming harder to find??

Edit: He does add 2 different versions now, but he also went from giving 5 screens with it to only giving 2...he might have ruined a good thing (not that the screens are super expensive or hard to find, but still)

Edit 2: so if anyone finds a cheaper version that they know is the right size, please let DDave know so he can put something a little more affordable and fairly priced in his signature. Current price is $20-25. Surely someone can find one for $12 or less, I hope!

As promised, my setup.....

The Adapter:

zg5w.jpg

The Screen for the adapter (the largest one. the smaller screen is the one from the Cyclone).
er7c.jpg

Bowls, side by side, whip attached to adapter (see decrease in space from heater to adapter screen and from adapter screen to elbow... makes for nice performance improvement!)
8n7v.jpg

The Holder (also displaying my Mad Wood-Working Skillz... LOL) Holds the bowls, even if blazing hot.

The Holder, Unloaded

The Whip Plug (complete with spare plug and AVB Fart Nose clip. Quite a bonus!.... LMAO! :lmao:)
(from Target Sporting Goods Section, swimming earplug and nose clip kit for $5.50).
With the plug, I leave the herb cooking at whatever temp I please for as long as I want. When it's time for a pull, remove plug, hit, replace once done... Vape on demand with least amount of loss).

And there you have it. My Arizer Arsenal. This has made my Arizer experience far better  for me than my original out of box experience.

Vape On!

Looks like the adapter will allow the herb to be closer to the heating element then the cyclone, but I think the DDA in his setup is even closer to the heating element. All personal preference though.

Yes DDave has an old post mentioning his Arizer setup so I have bought a set.

I just linked a $1.89 one I found on eBay. They also go for a dollar but I wanted to pick the colour as the cheaper ones mean that the seller will send you a random colour.

Almost there...
So the EQ has landed a few days ago and testing began immediately!
I ran out of time and only read a few pages worth at the start and a few at the end.
I got the just of it and most people advocate the DD adapter set up.
I only have the gigantic cyclone bowls to use at this time...

After a few failed attempts i found a way that works for me.
I bought this vape primarily to do bags at lower temps using the lowest fan setting!
Takes a while to fill the bag but it is an amazing experience!

My method is to use the cyclone bowl, one screen, layer of herb and then another screen sitting above the herb. I leave a space so that the bud is always being mixed up, don't know if this helps!
Extreme set at 195 Celsius.
Let it sit for a minute to heat herb and then start the fan on the lowest setting.
Find something to do for about 5 minutes and come bag to milky, super tasty goodness!
New level of medication achieved!
Bonus round commencing in...

I hate to say it but when people say this is a poor mans Volcano, i am going to have to beg to differ!
I really like the vapour from the Volcano but it does make me cough.
I love the vapour from the Extreme because i can take huge rips and not cough!
That is a winner for me!

And if the DD adapter makes this experience even better, sign me up!
Oh and my ABV is dark brown after the first bag!! BONUS!!

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
Can anybody recommend a place to buy the improved Extreme-Q 4.0. I am seeing it priced on Ebay for less than $150 and by a few of those who are claiming to be an Authorized sellers. Unless someone can recommend a better source who would be good about the warranty around this price range. Or even a better Desktop with a fan around this price. Although the newer version of this model is looking good for less than a portable. thanks

I can vouch for http://agracan.ca/ (agracancorp on ebay), we got 3 Extreme Q and 1 Air from them, flawless experience and lowest price (in Canada). Too bad you missed last sale (few days ago) :-(
