Thanks for all the insight, seems like my concern about spare parts is mostly unwarranted :D Still seems like a wear and tear set is a must! ISO isn't a concern as I can pick it up at local shops, head shops stocking S&B products seem sparse in my area

Despite ordering this week, I'm saving my mighty as a reward for after exams as a reward! But posts about steak and oranges only added to my excitement! I MUST have it now! Even if all I can do is admire it and take pictures

how can I best scoop off the sticky oil from the cooling unit to vape it?
A flat surface like a mini screw driver or dab tool, a paper clip would scratch the plastic and you don't want that in your dab...the BEST option is to reclaim it, but that takes patience

Finally pulled the trigger after reading through this thread, it will be here friday:rockon:

A lot of information to digest on here but I was wondering if it could be used as a desktop unit without damaging battery life? Best way to utilize concentrate pad for wax/shatter? Bowl holds about .3-.4? Best grind? Thanks guys for any info, based on reading this thread I am going to be pleased.

Good, I'm glad to hear you made the right decision. It works as a wonderful desktop. Be sure to only plug it in while you are using it or charging. Don't leave it plugged in all the time. I haven't used any waxes or concentrates in mine. As far as the grind I use the one supplied with the unit and it works great! The fine grind is best in my opinion. I always use the liquid pad. I helps to keep the material packed and reduces buildup on the cooling unit.

You will enjoy it! Good luck

I've found that the liquid pad eliminates practically 100% of any potential abv/abv dust/particles etc..I use it every time whether I'm using concentrates or not(usually I'm not :D)
I find it imparts a taste to my flowers that is unnecessary. Also, just lightly tamping the load with the provided tool keeps it in place anyways. I have never had a problem with particles up in the cooling unit ever.

About buying accessories for the mighty. S & b web site doesnt charge shipping (to canada) for a wear n tear set alone. It might be a good option if your local store is out of stock.

Im really close to pull the trigger on a mighty! After a long debate between a minivap and the mighty, the mighty won. For better customer service (stickstones is in the process of changing that though with the mv) and the mighty is enjoyable dry out of the box. The minivap seems to have lost its pure convection factor http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/minivap-vaporizer.1589/page-169#post-753596 and needs some kind of diy extention to enjoy dry. 399CAD for a complete enjoyable kit with the mighty. I would prefer to confirm I have the passthrough ability with my mighty before buying it, even though I will probably buy it whether it has it or not.

I am exactly the same. I used it about 5 times and the taste became horrible.

Im not doing it wrong, right? If I put lets say 0.05g-0.1g into the bowl, put the liquid pad on TOP OF everything (weed and whatnot) and then put the top part in and start vaping? I saw someone said they put the liquid pad thingy, or whatever its called, into the bowl first and then herb on TOP of it and then vape it.

You must have magic bud then because when I clean my CU there is always herb dust mixed resin in the chamber underneath the screen (no matter grind)
But people complaining about the taste with the oil pad should just try a screen to top the bowl, does the same thing as the oil pad, but doesn't inhibit draw and you can pack as much as you want without having to worry about everything fitting in

best temperatures for concentrates?

I never did concentrates in the mighty, but just for the sake of it, try starting at 150-159°C and see if the high after 5minutes fits you. If not, go higher. Better to start to low than to high.

I'm extremely sensitive to taste and smell, and this one surprises me. I've never detected stainless steel in any vape i've owned that used it, I always thought it was so inert that it didn't give a taste? Perhaps it's because I clean the pads with ISO before use, but i've never tasted anything off when using them.

I also use a coarse grind, sometimes with the pad and sometimes without, however whenever I don't use the pad, even with a coarse grind I find the load shifting up toward the CU screen due to the strength of my draws. I have to open the CU and tamp down at least once during the sesh.

Naw, it's concentrate on top of the pad.

I use a coarse grind but get minimal abv dust in the CU, but there is still some bit of herb dust, but just mostly oil.

It's preference! Experiment....my wife is a low temp vapista....with shatter you can get nice whispy clouds at around 160-170 even....but for the more experienced hardcores like myself, I won't bother with shatter unless it's 200+! And mostly it's more like 210c.

I've been loving using the pad with small loads, like .05-.1....on max temp with bubbler....just crazy insane milkage!

LOVE MY MIGHTY!!

Does anyone have any pics as to fine grind you guys use? I put a huge nug into the S&B grinder, and having NEVER used a grinder before, I grinded that shit for like 20 seconds, just to find out, it was powder-like weed now hahaha, I didnt know you only have to run that thing a few times and its good, I was literally doing 1000000 rpm on that thing. Now I got some powdered weed that I just load on the chamber and throw the pad on top of it and smoke that fire all day. I still do small doses, even smaller than 0.05g easily and its still awesome. I love this thing, mighty oh almighty.

I think i'm getting better performance using the Mighty plugged in. Like the Crafty, it charges on and off as you use it. I'm now starting to wonder, instead of hurting the battery, perhaps the a/c power takes some strain off of the battery?
I would like to know as well. Only used it plugged in once since I'm still not sure if it wears the battery down.
