If we pooled all the questions every 5 pages and someone emailed Trev them, we might get quicker results and he could get back to acquiring the rest of the parts. He's gotta feel a little peppered by now.

It's a tough spot, when a project runs over time-wise. It's like a mirage, where the last 10% of the work just keeps extending on and on....

I notice the new apple watch comes inside packaged in 3 boxes. Is it safe to assume the GH will be rolling one box deep? Box + poly bag? If we can't talk about heaters then it's box time!

HT still is advertising a contest for winning a free GH, but it lacks any detail about how to actually enter. Sad little under construction contest page. :(

Unless, of course, the heaters come in their own box.
With production at only 30 a week they should have the time and resources to make really nice boxes.

Like origami nice . . .

The GH isn't the only one with several delays. Apple is a huge company and they are having issues too. The Iwatches are delayed until June. Problems arise when new products come out. I would be surprised if we didn't see some faulty units during the first few months.

Yes, but Apple spent years building their goodwill/cult. The longer an Apple product takes to release, the happier their fans seem to be. They are the absolute masters of keeping folks frothing at the mouth for endless periods of time. And their boxes will go down in history as some kind of pinnacle of Western design achievement.

Of course, I probably just jinxed it for them. hehe

Edit: The GH boxes look really nice too though.

The Apple Watch (not iWatch, oddly enough) isn't delayed - they had some stock to cover initial orders and are now producing more. If you order right now, more than two weeks after first pre-order, you won't get one until June or later. They do have some astonishing production capabilities which really can't be matched by many other firms.

I saw a report that said Apple has two sources for the Haptic units that cause the watch to vibrate and that one of them has been producing faulty units, forcing Apple to rely on only one of them. There's also some worry that defective units may have already been used - again, according to the article.

Seems like even mighty Apple is not immune to these kinds of problems.

Totally; I could list off a dozen incidents where Apple's been hit with crap like that. Can happen to any company. Hoping that it doesn't hit Grasshopper too hard.
