Are you talking about the dry tube, or one that holds water?

Something like that....

Vapor King,
It's an older model, they come and go and sometimes resurface. That's a straight neck tree with splash gaurd. It's
also pictured with a Cloud original edition!!! Quite old!! Just my :2c::bang:

Yes, there are, although AFAIK only a few. Sorry, can't remember the suppliers but you can find them previously in this thread, not too long ago. I think there is a version which is a lot smaller (and cheaper).

I've tried looking through the thread...I'm sure it's in there probably 50 times but with over 7000 post, I'll be damn if I can find it. :rofl:

I have the SS hydraline hydratube. It's straight tube with ice catches. Sweet piece. It was on VXL website in the vault section of the hydratubes.

A hydratube is very handy for doing concentrates. Otherwise, inverting the EVO onto a glass piece works great. Personally, I like smaller glass pieces for concentrates: less glass to leave reclaim. But everyone is different. You just got to find what you like.

Hydratube-like glass that I have found:

* The Assassin's Necktie: http://glassblowersdirect.com/assassin-line/ $100

* fbomb by Planet vape: http://www.planetvape.ca/f-bomb-jet-diffused-micro-bubbler-tube.html 18mm $135

* Simba Aardvark Oil Straw: http://www.simbaglass.com/shop/detail.cfm/aardvark-oil-straw/id-42 $110 - needs 14 to 18 adapter for EVO

GRAV Labs out of Texes has two hydratubes; One place to get them is www.brotherswithglass.com. $150 ($135 4/20 sales). You'll have to special order. Or any other authorized dealer.

I've had my HL since beta and it's seen regular use all the time. Very sturdy. I often combine it on top of a HydraFoot 2.0, just using cracked ice in the HL. IMO, it's terrific.

I ordered my evo with the SideCirc, but once I got that hydraline (no, autocorrect, NOT hydrazine) the poor sidecirc has just been collecting dust. Love the hydraline and will probably pick up something similar.. some day. I think i definitely prefer the wider diameter bong-esque tubes to the little lip spigots on the newer hydratubes.

I need some help . . .

Last night using my HydraLine somehow the cap came off the ELB and on the hit flowers were pulled up into the inline perc. A bunch is packed together at one end. I've tried running water fast thru it using the hose-fitting tool invented by @t-dub, but nothing dislodges. I can't get at it with compressed air.

It appears I need to somehow break the material down into finer particles so it will flush? But how?

Or other ideas?

TIA.

Just tossing this out there, but what about cooking your HT in the oven? That should crisp up the particles and dry them out to where they will break into smaller pieces and heck you might can vacuum them out once the whole thing is dried out? I just had this happen to me with a showercap HT but luckily I was able to wash mine out. Good luck and let us know.

For me, running almost boiling water through a glasspiece is very effective at dislodging large particles, then ISO cleans out the rest.
To prevent it from happening again, you can simply push on the cap with your finger, that will make a little dome shape and also increases the friction.

@oldiebutgoodie - good suggestions so far. I tried using acid to break down the pieces when this happened to me with mixed results. Drain cleaner might work. I like the idea of drying things out and making them smaller and then maybe hit the remains with some drain opener and see what happens.

Thanks guys for the suggestions - all good.

I'm astonished! After fighting with it for a half-hour, I just put it in my Simple Green container that I use for regular cleaning. I figured that later I'd try ideas posted here. As it turns out, the SG softened the flowers which all broke apart from being packed in the grid, enough for me to flush through with my tool. I guess I lucked out. I'll file those ideas away for the time when I need a more dramatic solution.

By the way, picking up on @Seek's comment re the cap, I realized that this particular ELB has a poor fitting cap. IIRC I spread the cap a tad while trying some mod. Never had a problem with it before, but after this episode, I'm going to retire this ELB.

Thx again.

@oldiebutgoodie heres those pics , hope they answer your questions.....sorry it took so long to reply, Ive been enjoying this thing too much!

I'm curious what the bamboo looks like at the bottom. Your bamboo rises just a bit at top, usually the joint sits just about on the collar.

[/QUOTE]

Yea, IIRC that's the early Evo bamboo. Just a tad longer. If you were to push the joint down, the bamboo bottom might extend just enough to touch the surface. Which you don't want.

Cool thanks for that info, but so far so good, I'll definitely be more careful from now on though, just in case :) good info!!

I brought my straight ice HT out of storage: I'm afraid either I'm going to break it or drown my EVO with overflowing water, being the clumsy person that I am. I got this in the Indiegogo campaign. I have it sitting on a hydrafoot 2.0, and the EVO is inverted on a 19/21 claisen adapter (I found on Ebay) and glass cleaning plug.

Why do you have water in the bottom of the hydratube below the opals? Thats supposed to be dry.
