The nano came this weekend! 2 day delivery and is beautiful! Still trying to figure it out. I guess my biggest problem is with my herb blowing out of the gong when I remove the nano to clear my piece. I have a d020d bubbler and prefer to use it but find it awkward to hit/clear. I have a much easier time with my larger weedstar bong.

I think I have calligulas 2 hit technique down for smaller loads. Still playing with the basket depth and load sizes for larger sessions. Burnt my finger once on the glass trying to adjust the silicone sleeve right after a hit.

I'm a bit apprehensive about leaving my unit on all day on weekdays when I'm at work. Especially since I came home from the gym last night and noticed it had fallen/got knocked off my coffee table.

Continuing reading through the thread. At page 180ish right now.

I did notice that some people had really nice aromatherapy cups with handles. I tried looking around and saw the Underdog cups but they don't have a handle. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

You have to take the GonG out of the pipe before you stop drawing. I use my Pinky and pull the nano and the Gong off in one piece, clear, then replace and remove the nano from the GonG.

Pretty much this. I use my Enano with the D020d. The only thing I do different is I pull the hold the Enano with my left hand and hold the GonG in place. Pull the Enano off the GonG with my right hand, slide the GonG up but not all the way out with my left and pull it off the rest of the way with my free hand once I set the Enano down. As Uzer mentions later in the responses, I also have the silicone folded down a bit, which helps me with that flashy little move.

I do not leave my Enano on when I leave the house. I figure if I'm going to turn it down at the end of a session, I may as well just shut it off. It's not like it takes forever to warm up again, I can go pee and get a drink and it'll be ready and waiting.

Okay. Two more nights of testing with my Vaporbrothers and the E-Nano and here's my theory on why the E-Nano doesn't come close for me:

Because of my throat damage I can't take large hits or hold the vapor for long. Because the Nano is so much faster/more efficient, I'm thinking it relies more on large hits and/or holding the vapor to extract all the goodness. With the Vaporbrothers, since it takes so much longer to vape the same amount, I'm able to get much more medicated with my mini draws; I'm not losing as much on the exhale if that makes sense.

That's my theory, anyway. All I know for sure is with the same size load, the same batch of herb, and roughly the same temperature (tough to gauge that since neither vape has a way to measure temperature), the Vaporbrothers just works much, much better for me.

Kinda bummed about the whole thing. I was really hoping this would help me save money on herb, but instead I'm down $200. I'll probably keep the Nano for now since it's great for daytime use when I want to use very small amounts and don't want to be too out of it, and there's always the possibility that my throat will heal. But for now it's just not much use.

the nano heats via convection, right?

Edit:driving, will finish thought when I can.

Traaaaan,

Pjake

It's all in the reflexes.
I've had my d020 for a couple weeks now and I've all but stopped using it. I just can't get a good cloud. With the dry stem I can blow rings at 6.5. I've tried everything from 5-7.5 and several screen adjustments and I just can't seem to get the cloud. Kinda bummed.

It's all good Splatterpoop the Nano has a seemingly great resale value on classifieds.

Hey Pjake if varying your inhale speed and force doesn't work try a 6 slit downstem and I bet it will be enough restriction for the clouds, I had to use a downstem to bring clouds with my original D020 + LSV.

Have you tried pulling slower? Even the D2020, which I use & love, can overwhelm the best of heaters if you pull too hard. Give it a try and please report back!

I am a complete novice when it comes to the nano(only had her 5 days). But,paired with my D020D and joda gong I get huge, and I mean hugely impressive clouds.Set at 6.5 on the dial a 30 second heat soak and that's all she wrote. I draw slowly at first until I see vapor and then ramp it up a bit.

Just tried the heat soak and slow pull. Nothin. I use the tiniest amount in my dry stem and I blow out a massive cloud. With the d020 there is barely any visable vapor on exhale. Oh well. The nano itself is awesome. My favorite of all my vapes by far.

There are two types of heat soak, one your load and one your wood, and no I don't believe either are hoeey.

Edit- Lol, I can't wait to hear some of the replies after reading what I just wrote!

And I feel like that transfer will happen faster if you just start drawing. I don't think it's a bad thing. I just notice no difference.
Actually, I feel that while drawing pulls in the convection heat, heat soaking provides an extra measure of conduction on the sides within. I also use the heat soak method when the herb needs just a tad more drying. This has been my experience and shared by many anecdotally.

It depends, some days I need a heat soak, some days I can use the same stuff without one. I don't know, maybe it's more humid some days or something. But, yea, if I don't get a nice cloud on the first pull in my bubbler, even a short 10 second heat soak on the GonG can be enough to get her fogging like San Francisco.

I tried my D020 bubbler last night with my nano. I did get few good clouds, I set my temp on 7. 5 that was too hot so I turned it down to 7. Is there a glass bubbler that seems to work perfect with the Nano? I noticed the D020-D is 12 inches tall. Do I need something larger than the D020 or is it technique?

It's the size of the slits combined with your rate and force of inhale. A simple fix for me with the D020 was adding a downstem. That was the only bubbler I ever had that problem with, even other smaller sized bubblers didn't have that problem. My 187 is my favorite with my Nano's but I had both the 20D and 20W and remember them being just as good as my 187, just different sizes and varying perk.

Perfect is relative to the user.

For me, I rotate glass every 3-4 weeks. Some glass provides better flavor than others. But they all work the same with the Nano.

Personally, I prefer the GB-187-S with my Nano since it seems to provide a moderate amount of diffusion. Though when I want flavor, I will use something with less diffusion like my D020 or Igloo Rig (cheap mini 14mm rig). For vaping reclaim, I add an 18mm Ash Catcher to help eliminate the nasty reclaim flavor.

Another vape I REALLY like is the GB-242, though it's very thin glass and has a 14mm male fitting which I loathe, it's still a very fun piece to use with my Nano
