on a different note...i have noticed that my concentrate screens are a little discolored now..even after soaking in alcohol and then flaming with the torch...i would say they are just seasoned very well but i wanted to know if any others are experiencing this and whether or not i should change them out.
@vapman what are your thoughts??

You don`t need to change the screens, they are made of medical grade stainless steel and you can use them untill they are completely worn out, which could be a very long time. The discoloring is just oxidation and nothing to worry about.:)

Thanks @simpleasthcis and @VegNVape.
@vapman do you have any pictures of the original middle sections that had the in built mouth piece? Could you make a middle section that had a 14mm wong fitting at the end rather than a mouth piece?

Sorry Nugg, what you mean with "the original picture of the middle section"?
Of course it would be possible to make customized middle sections, all I need is an exact drawing of your ideas and it can be done.;)

Soon I will be on this forum more often again, I just need some extra time at the moment for finishing the first lot of the stations and I am looking forward to join in more frequently.
I went quickly through the latest posts and I am amazed about all the creations and all the interesting und funny posts. Very entertaining and lots of good vibes, indeed.

With best regards,

vapman

I just received my invoice for my Vapman heating station:rockon::rockon:.
@vapman When do you guys plan to begin shipping out the heating station?
They will ship next week. I just received this after paying and asking the same thing:

Hi Chippy,

We received your payment, thank you!
We are on track with the stations, shipping will begin next week.
________
This weekend, we paid medical bills. There can be a lot, so a $310 payment to "Element-Medical" didn't cause my wife to notice any out of the ordinary unplanned expenses. Now, I'm not the dishonest type, my wife knows of this purchase, and I do not condone keeping secrets from a spouse, but for someone with a lot of medical bills and a debilitating case of VAS, this is noteworthy.:brow:

@Vapormatic, That's awesome. I love it.

@NorVape I've got a olive branch at home that I'm planning on using as a J hook style wooden pipe for my vapman. It's a little hard to explain the piece of wood I have for this so I will include a picture. To connect the vapman to the pipe I'm going to try to cut the lip off a plastic mouth piece and friction fit it into the wood deep enough that it only leaves a few mm hanging out to push the standard middle section on to.

Sorry for my terrible drawing lol
@Nugg, @NorVape

I once made a bamboo pipe with two pieces of bamboo -- one thin for a long stem/mouthpiece and a short and thicker one for the bowl. It looked really nice and worked well. Pretty sure one could make one for the vapman, maybe with just one piece oof bamboo.

I like the idea of using the POM Mouthpiece as the fitting/connector:

It works well nugg

Edit , a pair I prereared earlier ... Sorry I get my coat now

I must be genetically immune to PAS... (There's something wrong with me, I know). I enjoy the simplicity of the vapman + lighter and I'm so used to it now that I naturally reach for that and not think about using it any other way. The lighter ritual has become second nature for me. I will get a heating station but more for my wife than myself. It looks incredible and I'm sure it will work very well - especially for people that had meddical needs.

I would like an all wood mouthpiece, just for fun.

I do LOVE to see what you guys are doing with all these cool mods! I'm working on something myself, but I haven't had time to get around to it lately. :science: I'll somoething if it works - it may not...

Peace to all :peace:

@TNT_error it is expensive. I have a specific need to be able to medicate without getting up out of bed or creating a fire hazard. For me, it is cheap at any cost, but I'm going to purge some other devices to help justify the purchase.

@M0J0 if you like these mouthpiece mods, just wait until Wednesday evening.........
Why did you do that Chip? How am I going to sleep till then? Haha

I wish I could afford a heating station like you lucky people! The lighter is still doing a hell of a job though and I am loving my vapman more and more every day! It has even surpassed Lotus in my mind, I have to take back everything I have said against the vapman from time to time. It really is better than the Lotus in many important areas... Damn! You were all right guys... @OF, @RUDE BOY, @Seren and the rest of the folks! I will still get a Lotus at some point, it still rocks, but vapman is gonna get more use for sure!

Oh oh! I have also got my vapman station invoiced and paid for 12-24 hours ago, I didn't post just because I Wasn't sure if we were meant to lol. Now that I think about it, I can't see any reason why not.

Natural Farmer, your post fascinates me! I have owned a lotus, please tell me the aspects in which the vapman is better so I can get more exciited about my incoming vapman/station :D

You have a heating station on the way and you need a few words from me to get you more excited??? You... You... :goon:

Kidding aside the Vapman is smaller, more durable, needs no stirring or once max, the ABV can be more uniform, it needs almost zero maintenance, it's stealthier, it hits harder somehow cause of the magic and stuff :p, it's prettier, it's nicer to hold and touch, safer to handle, more pocketable, needs less butane, has a better lighter(!)...
Need more you greedy b******??? :cuss: :p :lol:

You forgot 'easier to control' since you heat then hit. Lets you concentrate on each separately. Lotus, I found, makes you juggle things during the hit. IMO a big plus. Play with fire a bit, sit back and sip and enjoy the vape. Then play with fire......

That I can handle.

I would say vapman has a much nicer, more relaxed ritual. Not easier to control. I think the direct feedback of the Lotus during the heating makes for some very tight control of the hit. To get such control with the vapman you need a stopwatch in hand or some quartz in the brain :p... I remember the version you have @OF was indeed harder to master. The new one is another thing altogether. A great convection partner to the Vapman in my mind. If I had to choose one though, it would be the Vapman! Oh wait... It is at the moment! :p

haha cheers brother :p

Oh man that station is gonna get put through its paces when it gets here. I got a bunch of delicious 3/4 melt bubble hash that I'm deliberately not vaping til the vapman gets here lol

I am predominately at home so I will probably use the station more than anything lol, but it is nice to know that the vapman works with the lighter too - this will certainly be my go to portable since I am selling my Crafty and the Mighty is just generally impractical to bring out.

I bought the vapman predominately for hashes rather than flowers (thanks specifically to @NorVape for putting me onto this vape in the first place!), because I had not been satisfied using my Mighty/Crafty (taste wise they are great for this, but the heat up is just too long and cleaning that bowl is a nightmare after using melty bubble lol - just makes sense to have a standalone hash vape).

No stirring is another key reason I got a vapman lol. I refuse to own a vaporizer that you have to stir. Once I load a bowl, I wanna hit it til it is spent - no fucking around! :D Glad to hear that'll work out for me :D

So pleased to hear of your love for the small but mighty Vapman @natural farmer :) I knew you'd come around eventually  ;)

I've said it before - and it still holds true - I can never see myself being without one. As time has passed, my love and admiration for my little fella has just grown. It's the most used of all my vaporisers - at home, & when out and about. It's just so convenient and effective.

Like you @natural farmer - I would also really, really, really like a vape station (and a new engraved VM from @M0J0 especially for it, for that matter! :brow:). I guess I'll just have to wait until my bank account looks a little healthier. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to reading all of the reviews from the lucky so-&-so's here who manage to get their hands on one.

Vive le Vapman!! :D

OK, here's my attempt at a DIY mouthpiece from an oak dowel - charred, of course.

Not as nice as anything from @Ed's TnT, but not too shabby either.

I haven't drilled air holes on it yet, because I think I may not need them.

Thanks to all for the inspiration. I have another thing I want to try but it'll take some time to finish it. I'll post it when I'm done.

Yeap! No stirring rules!!! :D

I also have to add to my previous post for @OF that in order to have such control with the Vapman you don't only need a stopwatch but also a thermometer telling you the temperature of the crucible... :p I am pretty sure the heating station is going to improve on this very much though! It will f**** know approximately how hot it is and heat exactly as much as it needs! Just amazing! So jealous!

@M0J0 Sorry I never answered your question about how my guava mod mouthpiece is different from the standard stem. I haven't really had much of a chance to use it. The one time I did use it I thought it differed a bit but not too much. It seemed like I was able to pull harder, as a result I think I was cooling it more when I pulled in and it brought down the temperature, making it a bit harder to vaporize. I think I may want to put a toothpick in at least one of the holes (I added the 3 air holes) and that should help. Other than that it just feels different on the lips, I suppose more like a cigar. I also noticed the heat seemed to make the pins looser. If I could do it over I would have made sure I made the pin holes a slightly tighter fit. I was a bit careless when making the holes. It could be done by hand with patience and care, but the best case scenario would be to use an electric drill for all the holes for precision. Anyways, I need to play around with it more. I am currently out of herbs.

Lol yeah the station really sealed the deal. The Lotus was great for me (I had a v2 lotus) but I always found myself accidentally combusting because I was concentrating too much on taking a hit rather than ensuring that the lighter was correctly positioned lol.

Hey how do you connect your vapmans to bongs guys?

I think we're looking at 'control' from different ends. To me control means consistent results I can fine tune to what I want. With VM that's a natural rhythm as you say. 'Adjusting on the fly' is fine and all but I prefer this way.

I think it's darn near impossible to combust in VM (the way I use it), something I have no trouble at all doing in Lotus or VG. To me, that too is part of control.

I did get a chance to try a fellows Lotus a while back, it was different and all but I still found VGs easier to control (and get the results I wanted easily), especially the Bronze one. I see the Lotus and VGs as being in the same class, basically. Simple and nice, but not the same idea as VM. I tend to think most everyone who has/tries both ends up with VM over Lotus or VG?

Or not.
I also have to add to my previous post for @OF that in order to have such control with the Vapman you don't only need a stopwatch but also a thermometer telling you the temperature of the crucible...

Actually I don't. I find it very natural/intuitive. One of the reasons I enjoy it. Very low tech on one side, brilliant design on the other.

I don't think it's fair to tell the new guys it's that exacting (needs a stopwatch, etc.), because it's not the case. You can be stoned past the point of remembering the day, to the point of wondering what your name was, and still get lovely vapor from VM......provided you don't burn your fingers in the process.

To each his own. I'll be interested in how herbivore21 finds it.
