No way to tell the temp on the LSV but yeah, it can go higher than the Mini. You can combust with the LSV. You can't with the Mini.

The additional cloudage with the LSV is probably due to a few things, two of which is the higher heat ranges available as well as an air and vapor flow that is MUCH less restrictive than the Mini's.

with the miniVAP, have you been taking many hits on red to get max extraction? Those hits are more subtle but it keeps on extracting. By doing this, my ABV got a full "notch" darker.

Talking about clouds vs no clouds is always tricky as "better" is way different for different people.
- IMO, big clouds clearly get you high faster, if that's what you want. But that cloudage also wastes herb as no way your lungs can absorb all that goodness.
- No clouds or minimal clouds is clearly more efficient use of your herb but it usually takes longer / more hits. Your lungs are able to absorb more efficiently.

I've never had the case where I couldn't get as high with minimal clouds, it just took longer/ more pulls.
The big cloudage gets you high in less time, but not not higher than no cloudage with more pulls.
And the no cloudage uses less herb, which matters to me as I have a meager stash.
Folks that can get supply easily, probably fun to blow big clouds---sometimes

MinnBobber, you're talking to someone who has the reputation of being the king of efficiency......hehe.

With my PD, I was able to vape every single night and have a gram last me a month and half. I can now, without my PD, have my bud last just as long but I need to cut my usage down to 5 nights a week. Getting 5 hits from a mere .025g was the norm for me.

And bud conservation, for me, is super important, but even so, I disagree that cloudage is a waste and I am only saying this because of my own personal experience. I not only get high faster, but I also get MORE high with clouds while at the same time, not using any more weed that I would if I wasn't generating clouds using more hits.

With maximum cloudage, I can still vape 5 nights a week and have a gram last me 6 weeks.

Can I get just as high without clouds and more hits? I've tried but for me, I can't. But even if I could, I would use just as much weed getting there as I would if I was cloud-chasing.

I like to get really high with as few hits as possible and I find that I can do this without losing any efficiency whatsoever. A really fast lift-off, for me, makes the high that much more powerful.

While I would never say that my experience should apply to anyone else, I have no doubt that there are others who share the same viewpoints through personal experience as myself.

For some, clouds would be a waste, but for me...............they are very far from that.

One thing I would like to see though is a scientific study to study the amount and make-up of cannabinoids in exhaled vapor versus inhaled vapor. Does the THC to CBD to CBN ratios change at all and if so, by how much?

If I have wonderful quality herb that medicated well with wispy clouds I'm happy. If I have huge gangbuster, massive clouds and doesn't medicate worth a damn I'm unhappy.

I am an oil guy but I tried vaping herb again today for the frist time in probably 4-5 years. Back then I was a combuster and I did not like the vape experience (small clouds),. Today not having combusted in several months, knowing my tastes have changed recently, I really liked it. The clouds were smaller but I took 4 good hits (would have been one hit combusted) off a tiny bit of herb and for about 15 mins, I was experiencing a different high than I get normally from dabbing I think. More testing is needed though.. Btw, I hold it in as long as possible and cough on purpose, no matter the cloud size.
