. At what level do you start to get 5+ ovens?

I start on 1 petal, get 4-5 hits, move to 2 petals, get 10-15 hits. Stir, get 4-5 hits while still on 2 petals, move to 3 petals, get 6-10 hits, move to 4 petals for 2-3 hits.

Total I get about 25+ pulls on the oven. For me they're about 5-6secs. As I've mentioned before, I use .25-.3g's medium fine grind, not powder. It all depends on quality of materials, but lately I've been getting 30+ pulls on one oven.

Maybe instead of making it a solid piece of metal (which is how it is and makes it stay hotter for longer), they can fabricate it to look like the old pax screen which has tiny holes in it and is thin enough to not get too hot but is just there to hold the cannabis down. All while retaining the ability to adjust it to the amount of cannabis you have, maybe with like a spring that gets pushed down when you put the oven lid on. HIGHDEA.
I was thinking something similar. But I like their form: maybe if they just drilled multiple small holes through it,it would eliminate any increased resistance

Hey, p2 owner and very pleased with new model. P1 was ok, but changes made to p2 are exactly what makes this my favorite vape now. I also use an iolite vape that runs on butane. I like that one for festival time!

A couple people have mentioned taking the puck of material out once it is nearly spent and flipping it around.

How are you doing that? With tweezers? Or are you just tapping it out as a block?

I wonder what kind of approach works best to allow for a flip, in terms of grind, pack and fullness.

I am fairly pleased with this pax 2, I am glad I have it now as my secondary and stealth vape.
But yes, this dang thing reeks. Its in two pouches in my gym bag, and my whole bag reeks. So I will get a ryot case, I would also like to see what end caps are available. I am getting fairly good vapor depending on some variables.

You can find a post about end caps here http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/pax-2.17617/page-45#post-777001

I have a set and they seem to work for me, not sure how they do inside a bag that traps air, but when I have them on the pax2 I can't smell it like when it's just sitting there without them. They are a snug fit and seem to create a bit of a vaccume when you slide them on.

Has anyone tried removing the bottom screen and fitting a regular pipe/mesh screen (cut to size) on the bottom?
This would be to increase air flow and cheaper if you lost your original screen.
I wonder if you could make a sandwich just with 2 pipe screens?
Hmmmm.

Looks nice but stealth wise it doesn't help the cause lol. I ended up getting a space one which is a bit more inconspicuous. Thanks for the heads up though.

My design is so perfect, the flared mouthpiece fits snugly into the mold I made!
Have you thought about making a packing tool for the Pax2. I think that could make you some money too. Something like this http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:781099

Thanks for the link!

I could, although I'd need access to a Pax2, sadly right now I don't have access to one. However I'm hoping to have one next month. I'll look into this.

Playing with my silicone casting process today, altering the viscosity of the material before injecting, hopefully that helps!

Darn that sucks, you wouldn't be able to do it with just the dimensions?

I prefer to have the actual vape because most of my designs undergo 10-20 revisions before I ever feel confident publishing it on my store.

I already have someone who has offered to ship me a P2, like I said - gimme a month or so ;)

Nice!
I contacted the ebay seller of these skins. this one should be available next week. I am going to hold out for this one for my platinum pax2. A skin and a smell proof case is exactly what I need. Now I need to find a case?

Sick I like that one too because it could pass as a small camera.

Ha ha! Is this serious?!

It actually has 'Pax', 'Vaporizer' & '4.20' printed on it

I guess it's really just for the novelty factor as opposed to honestly providing any stealth like qualities.

To me that skin would make a Pax look far more suspect. And yep @steama I would agree with your assessment of it's appearance, and to my mind it would only be doing an injustice to the device itself.

However that is only an opinion, & I am a great believer in 'each to their own'

But a smoking camera can create it's own problems . . .

I got the end caps that were noted a couple pages back. They really smell like plastic. I need to give them a wash to see if their oder will improve.

Thank you for this comment, didn't realize how strong they smelled!
I've looked into it and there are 2 safe easy methods to deodorize these caps:
1) Baking Soda + Hot water. Soak caps in mixture (1/4 cup BS to 1qt water) - Let dry. Repeat as necessary
2) Vinegar + Hot water (2:1 ratio). Same process - soak, dry, repeat if necessary.

Once I figure out the best solution, I'm going to deodorize all other caps in my inventory

Edit - looks like hot water + vinegar is working better than Baking Soda. I am soaking them in Hot Vinegar Water for 1 minute, removing them and drying off for 10-20 minutes. Then repeat several more times.

Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a go.

Sorry to say anything negative, but I had assumed it was something that could be corrected with a good cleaning.
