I just posted this in the JoDa thread,
@VaPeD&CoNfUsEd,

Do you have any thoughts on an all glass concentrate attachment for the LSV?

I'd love to be able to dab/vape oil directly with the lsv, but I cant quite figure out how it'd be doable...

I was thinking either a custom heater cover, designed to allow direct conduction dabs - so it'd use the heat from the heater to heat up some portion of glass to dabbing temps.

Or;

An attachment to go on to the regular lsv H/C, which would allow for convection vaping of the dab...

So basically my first idea is something akin the the SSV/DBV oil kit, and my 2nd idea is akin the the VapeXNail...

I would've just shot ya a pm, but I figured if anyone else has any ideas they could chime in too :)

Does anyone have any input/thoughts on potential designs?

Would the VapeXnail work in a longer 18mm adapter? Or maybe making a HC that accommodates the nail and puts it right above the heater?

I would love to see something created.

Edit: Or how about a shorter VapeXnail? I'm guessing it's so long because it needs to sit next to the EVO's heater?

have you tried my recommendation with the liquid pads from crafty/mighty? i prefer it to a nail, not so instant but more controllable and tasteful. its not quite the same.

the conduction setup is hard to accomplish with the lsv because the heating element is so deep down and protected by the cover. maybe some kind of conducting metal that goes from the element to the top of the lsv. but then if you invert it its not the same anymore, probably not working anymore.

fyi i once put a dab directly onto the glowing heating element. it doesnt really work...dripped down faster than it could vaporize

Tried the LSV out last night again...different strain, and inconsistent results this time. I was pretty happy with the vapour quality at 11:30/noonish, but for some reason was coughing like crazy all the time. I'm starting to think it's all the warm/hot air i'm constantly pulling through this thing. Sometimes it can take a bit to get the vapour pumping, and i'm wondering even though i'm using a water tool, if my lungs are starting to get sensitive to the heat of the rush of airflow. I haven't had this problem in a while, since my older Cloud days, but don't remember coughing all that much before with the LSV so this one has me stumped. I'll have to try this same strain with some other vapes to compare. It's Master Kush BTW.

EDIT: Something just came to me... I have recently fallen in love with a coarse grind. Perhaps it's been the stirring/tamping in the M2M that is causing release of particulate which is irritating my lungs. With my Mighty I never have to stir and the coarse grind is as smooth as anything.

More testing!

I have 3 of those baskets and this is the only one that fit likes that. I got lucky :D I'm sitting the HC LSV on that, bareback, hitting it on 3'. In between pulls I take the basket out and shake it. I love it.

All the baskets fit my tamer though :D

I take it out of the bubbler joint and give it a few taps on a table, a flick or two with my finger, and then a few shakes.. It works ok for minuscule loads in the basket, i haven't tried big ones yet.

whats your technique for loading / unloading a basket? Id like to keep messiness to a minimum.

Almost there...
Since using the long transfer wand I have been wondering about using an ELB in their in place of the screen.
There are always bits of left over bud stuck to the edges between the screen and the glass.

The top solid ring of the ELB is slightly too large and it sits proud of the joint, not ideal.

So into the workshop I go and using a diamond drill, I slightly reamed out the top few mm's
Of glass from the LTW.
ELB now slips in perfectly!

Coughing has decreased due to finer mesh size!! Bonus!
Easier to load and I do not get any particles in my mouth or up the LTW.

I like it!

Just got my brand new LSV which I ordered for the fight, a little bit disappointed since I could have order a cheap one from EBay but I decided to buy directly from 7th floor so I could customize my unit completely blue to match my bong, but as I'm excited opening the bag I see plain looking silver LSV to match my plain looking DaBuddha, nice..

I called 7th floor and they told me to ship that back to them to get full refund or blue like I ordered, so hell no I ordered this for the fight and they had to refund me $35 back for missing the bong adapter as well.
Great doing bussiness with ya 7th Floor.

Enough of my rant.

I've read many people from here saying they use their units around 10 o'clock on the dial meaning they run much hotter than SSV or Da Buddha, but with the long whip included I can't produce vapor on mine unless it's on 4 o'clock.

So confused about the design as well, am I supposed to let the herb fall off to the LSV screen?

It also uses more than DBV wtf? I was conserving until tonight.

Any tips will be highly appreciated, pun intended.

All folks I know use them at around 1:00 on the dial.

Personally I do my first couple of hits upside down so the herb stays in the wand. If it falls on the screen no harm.

The wand holds the same amount as the DBV wand.
I use identical amounts in either wand.
Either could use more or less.

Take your time.
Experiment with draw speed, it sounds like that could be your issue.

Pulled out the LSV and experimented with micro loads ! Just covering the bottom of my ELB and turn the knob a few millimeters past 12 yielded 4+ giant clouds:ko:
Time to run with my dog
The ELB in a 18m2m is my to to bowl setup. 7th floor should make an official glass version and sell it. That would be sick :)Have a great evening everyone

Anyone else do this? I find it difficult to stir and not get abv all over the place.

@Mrmrmrmr 12 on the dial you say, how close are your flowers to the HC?can you take a pic?

I've done that but I use an ELB. IMO it works way better then the EQ basket. Way deeper so nothing spills and I can control cloud density ,flavor and effects much easier.
using the ELB did you have to stir?

I like using my short wand but would like to cut down on messiness. Out of my 3 vapes, the LSV is definitely the messiest. It's also the most powerful one, so I'm not complaining. It seems every time I take my wand out to stir in between hits, there is always some abv falling out somewhere. I'd like to better manage that.

Me too. Same issue using the nano. One thing I loved about the SSV's Spherical GG whip, so much room to stir and not spill. I'm guess the LSV WPA would be very similar. The SSV GonGs I'm using have a flared top which I find to also help tremendously in preventing spillage while stirring, but I don't need to stir often.

How much are you putting into your transfer wand? I used to use a EQ dome on the end of my SSV GG wand with the EQ, worked well, just shake it. :brow:

I have been experimenting with small amounts. From just enough to cover the screen (which doesn't require any stirring) to 2 times that.

I tried the ELB basket with my long stem and i like it, it solves my messy problem. I didn't stir but did give it a few shakes and the abv was evenly zapped and there were no dark spots.

when I put the drawing stem into the HC and I'm ready to draw, how long should i let it sit there before beginning my draw?

Digging your new title sticks , As soon as my wallet isn't so empty I'm gonna hit you up !

Can't wait to try my new SSFG hydraline with the LSV tonight.
Has anyone tried using a cap on th elb ? I figure the heat would have to be turned up but if it works it would be just like the cloud/evo !
Wish I could experiment more but the medicine supply is running low :|

To neutralize the wide open air flow, I like pairing my lsv with bubblers that have a little chug. I like using it with FC 711.
