Yep, CCG Fab Eggs now have slits on the showerhead perc. It should function much much better than the tiny pinholes.

I messaged Cynthia from CCG to ask if I ordered another if she would discount the price (since the 6 hole one sucks) and to confirm that the new Fab Egg I would received has the showerhead with slits perc. Here is her response:

by "now have slits" what do you mean? was there a new listing claiming that these new eggs would have slits instead of poke holes?

i'm about to message cynthia and figure out why i don't have slits in my perc. ill send this egg back for one with slits instead of the 6 pinholes

I don't know how a egg is supposed to hit but This ccg egg is impressive.
I have a function video but don't know how to post.
The Fc ufo will be a great piece for vaping. I think it will keep a lot of flavor. But not a fan of the mouthpiece. For a a base that big, there should be no reason for this tiny mouthpiece. Maybe I'll ask Joda to make a new mp.

CCG must have made a small batch first with the 6 pinholes - the ones you and I and some others have received - and now this second batch - the ones people are recently receiving - has the slits (like on an inline perc) instead of the pinholes.

@mixchu69 just confirmed that the one with slits is impressive. There is a picture of it on the previous page. I know it will function much better than the pinhole perc.

IMO it may not be worth "returning" for a replacement unless you are located close to where it ships from. If you are in the US I bet it will cost $40+ to ship it back. I asked for a discount and ordered a new one, confirming that it would be one with the slit perc. CCG took $3 off. Not much at all but I'm not going to complain. I will just sell the first crappy one and get my money back.

It's all part of the risk you take when you are one of the first people to buy a new item. This has happened to me a couple times now where the first people to buy the item get the crappy version and soon after a better version comes out.

I'm going to start buying after the first batch of people receive them.

Have you guys seen anything like this on dhgate for purchase as a single unit? Trying to figure out something for globes and something for hercules cartridge to use pens with my d020-d. If someone can steer me toward a better choice than this and the previous linked style, I'm all ears - I pulled the trigger on the d020-d and then remembered I dont have a way to hook up my pens. lol.

Having just hit both the 710 and the dcycler this early shatterday, you can't go wrong with getting both of those. Those are the two most highly recommended dab rigs on FC I believe. And they get two high thumbs up from me this morning.
No experience with the cake.

If a clog developes(why is spell checking telling me its develops?) at the drainage point, right away what jumps to my mind is pour in a little alcohol from the mouth piece and swirl till its cleared?

If you are able to run hot water from a facet through the piece regularly this will get the minority of the reclaim out and keep the pice cleaner without needed to go all out with alc, salt, and shaking. It only takes a minute and is worth it if you want to keep the perc/ function perfect.

Yes, That seems the only real fix is to fill it with iso and set it in warm water and start fresh. It's going on a shelf once the UFO lands.:

After abusing my D-cycler for a few days I love it a lot. My perc has a lot of good size holes. And it vortexs nice with a lower water and higher water level. However, the biggest thing ive noticed with it is that it reclaims a LOT more then my kathy egg or fc-711.

I love all 4 of these..

-fc-187 v2 sidecar (mobius matrix knockoff bub) have owned the real thing and I love this one. Main problem is the hole that meets the mouthpiece is semi small making cleanint more annoying, function isnt effected tho.

-next is the fc-710 (steve bates diffusion pump knockoff). Havnt owned the real deal but the function on this is the same as the videos ive seen on the real one. This piece reclaims a bit but its not as much as the d cycler, def more then kathy egg. Smooth but still tasty hit. Water level picky.

-the d cycler from CCG (see top of post) have not owned the real one but I love this thing. One downside is reclaims a lot. Mine DOES NOT get clogged, and i have abused it in its few days here so far.

-and the kathy egg. (Have not owned a real mothership egg but my LHS has 2 for water tests. Dosnt hit as similar but i love the function.

Very smooth, least reclaim of the 3, function is amazing.
My favorite so far.

However kathy was kind of annoying to deal with.. All reviews are with a halen quartz trough.

Will post the new ones when here. Just cleared customs into NY.

(Sov triple bore stem 8 and SSFG hydratube peakin in the background)

Just got my replacement puck cycler in from Kathy. First one had a crack.

The piece is well made and holds its weight for its size. The joint location helps the piece keep its center of gravity. Not tippy at all unless using a drop down and a heavy vape.

I really like this piece. It has some chug to it. 3 hole perc. It's nice though. I've been using it with my e-nail, solo, and e-nano. I like the low profile body and the tube mouthpiece is nice for a change.

It vortexes on the drain. It is almost impossible to get it go vortex while using it. You have to have the perfect water level and be pulling at just the right speed to get a little mini vortex.

Just got my ccg egg and I got lucky and got slitted perc fuck yea!!! I ordered it on 4/11 got a perfectly straight joint too : D This thing is a beast best rig i've ever hit by far d-cycler i just got doesn't even compare to how good the functionality of this thing is not too big perfect size thick glass ill post a function vid with my new sic nail soon thanks CCG much love.....

Have the folks who have gotten their FC-UFO had any issues with the MP joint being too low in the can? It looks like it could have a drink problem depending on the MP. It enters the can nearly 1/3 of the way down.

Quite a few have sold but I'm not seeing much posting on it.

Yea. Very, very close to water in the mouth, depending on how you hit it.

Edit. I adjusted the water level barely above the perc and no more concerns. Was awfully close when I filled about a 1/2 inch above the perc (maybe a centimeter).

I've been ripping on my UFO since I've recieved it and not a single drop of water has touched my lips. It's my favorite flower vaping piece to date.
