What does your significant other think about vaping?

It's important to be respectful to your partner but having to vape outside or in the basement doesn't sound fair. It would be different if you had children around, I get that. Remember it's your house too.

I don't want to start any problems with your significant other or anything but vaping isn't like smoking cannabis. That I would understand being banished to the outer regions. Do what you need to do to have harmony in the household I would suppose.

I already posted my significant other story earlier that included how I 'introduced her to MJ' but I left out one of the first 'tells' she ran into when we first met but weren't dating yet.

We met in college over 35 years ago in a public speaking class. I was a hard driving, serious student and several years older than many of the students in my same grade because of having been in the Navy. One of my first speeches was about MJ and NORML and it started like this....'There is a drug that a large majority of the population has been using for decades. It hasn't been completely studied and to this day it is still not understood what the long term ramifications of using this drug may be. I'm talking about aspirin. I then went on to say that MJ has been around for centuries and has shown no adverse affects ... yet we can easily obtain aspirin but not MJ. At the end of the speech I talked about NORML and how you could support the organization.

I don't remember my wife's reaction to the speech but I do remember the professor's face .... she was smiling throughout the speech.

My hubby actually celebrated 4/20 with me this year! He doesn't usually partake, but it should be out of his system quickly. He didn't even have that much vapor, and he said his back pain was better almost instantly. I'm just like "uh huh.." :)

What do you think about vaping if you live in a non-legal state?

Anybody else not enjoy the experience as much because you have to slink around, close curtains, eyeball if the neighbor window view could see the vape if you put it here, etc?? That plus the always present fact that it is illegal and my backwards state would love to catch me and punish me hangs over the experience and takes away from what should be a wonderful experience.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy it but long for the day when vaping is totally "no worries man" and one doesn't have to hide it.

On topic, my wife vapes once in awhile but there is still an underlying feeling of hubby better not do it too much even though I'm a super lightweight. A big part of that is probably that it's not legal.

I don't know about your state, but I'll be damned if I'm closing the curtains and slinking around my own house to do anything I wish.

@CarolKing you pretty much hit the nail on the head with the household harmony lol some things are just easier. I don't/hopefully won't mind having to go to a different room to vape if my SO is against it or doesn't want to participate. Sometimes it's even better and peaceful. As long as she's not gonna bitch about me being lifted around her I'll take that compromise any day of the week.

I really need an Avatar.

Lol I sympathize web you melting pot!
My SO vapes (ecig)and doesn't mind me vaping the herb. I've got her to partake a couple times (only after she has had her share of alcohol )
I still know she doesn't fully understand how much it helps me. That and she was brought up in a family that takes a pill whenever something is wrong or goes strsight to the doctor when Something arises

My Wife (Gone now 2 1/2 years) Thought she was Bonnie to my Clyde! I was and am a big user. 10 Joints a day a easy. She would get a joint from me on Monday and hit it 2 or three times a night. I finished the joint on Saturdays. I worked afternoons and she days. She was the clonemaster and gardener. I was the harvester. (She would greenout if she handled plants) It was not legal then and we were outlaws together. We were very political but kept our mouths shut because punishment was so severe. She backed my play 1000%. It wasn't the only thing that tied us together but it was huge.

We just went to a marrage counsler tonight for the first time and I am pretty sure now, that we/I can't fix this/her/me.

I was just calling around a few days ago to make an appointment for the first time as well. It's just a last ditch effort, I'm coming to the same conclusion you are. What ever happens, I wish you the best.

In those dark times of doubt and uncertainty it bring cold comfort to know that whichever path I chose it's well worn. And at least some people have found happiness at the end of every one of them

Thanks, you as well!!

I feel pretty stupid venting here on FC now but I had never been to a counsler before so I did not know what to expect other than " how does that make you feel BS".. I was so very angry!!! I admit I am at least 50% less angry now just talking about it. Realizing it's not me that caused this helps. Hang in there!

Looks like I may be joining some of you on the single train soon. And the main reason will be my affair with Mary Jane unfortunately. Sucks. Hope it isn't so but won't bore yall with it and bore myself by writing it all again lol funny I haven't hooked up with Mary since Monday's holiday in an effort to pass a drug test and get a better job but it seems as if it's gonna be a deal breaker for her. If only people weren't so ignorant, misinformed, and closed minded.

My wife of 44 years used LSD and MJ back in the mid-60's, but by the time we had our first date - 1/1/69 - she had stopped. I was a heavy user, and seller at the time. We got married in '70, I learned TM in'72, and rarely used for the next 42 years. Then I got prostate cancer, had surgery, early in 2014, had to have radiation treatments for several months along with testosterone suppressing hormone therapy. I got my MMJ rec 3/28/14 and she was completely supportive. Now, over a year later, I no longer feel like shit, and my energy level is back to normal. My "use" is more "re-creational" and almost daily. My wife gives me a little grief about the high number of strains I have around, and the multiple vaporizers I've acquired, and she declines to ingest with me. But she is supportive of my hobby, and that's all I can expect.

Well, my wife is perfectly fine with it, as she knows how downright terrible the alternative is for me. While we did not move to Washington simply for the easy access to MMJ, it was a very real consideration, as we faced a desire for a job change for her and a huge lifestyle change for me after an only moderately successful spinal fusion surgery.

I immediately got a vaporizer when we moved here and started vaping. She insisted on smoking from a pipe for a while, but discovered she liked the effect of edibles more than anything else. So she gets a chocolate when she wants one and I vape during the day and have an edible at night.

No kids and few visitors, so we are not one bit discrete about it around the house. Imagine how a wine enthusiast takes no special precautions to hide his hobby, well, it's like that with mmj stuff around here. I generally have some sort of vaping station set up in the living room and in my tinker room, and will carry a Vapman in my pocket, and usually something by the bed.

Edit: The only thing we do that is "discrete" is ensure that the edibles are not accessible to the pets.
