Puff, I've replaced most of my combustion with vape since acquiring the MZ. It did take a little time for me to consistently get the most out of it. Now, holy sh*t. Can you say baked?

My drying was good enough and im pretty ripped right now. ':D'

I enjoy this new high. i felt very productive while i was vapeing so i decided to sew a custom Koozie cover for my MZ! I am in a elevated state right now and i think im getting the hang of it. Unfortunately this is really really efficient but i filled the tube about a half centimeter from the top and it weighed .08 not .025....

Anyway thanks again for the great product Rick!

As I recall, we make no claims as to how much you can pack in the stem tip. I say pack away, the more the better! You do not have to fill them though. 2/3 to 3/4 full is plenty for several good pulls. Light to medium pack means you get a bit more in there than just scoop and suck.

Man. I gotta say, I never have weighed the stuff down to 100s of a gram! Not even tenths. Praise the Master Flow!

Just heard from a customer that Jameco says they no longer have the 227483 transformer, only the 10081 for $10. I bought some more of the 227483 last week and the gal said they had lots of them. I am wondering if they just relabeled them to sell at the higher price? Or if the only reason I found them and could buy them is because I have been buying in large quantities from them for 8-9 years. I will check that one out as once I found the number, I could get as many as I wanted, any time.
According to the person I talked to at Jameco, the cheaper #227483 is a special transformer only for a 'special customer'. Unless Rick turns out to be the 'special customer', it seems that anyone else is out of luck.

Hi im new to the forum:)

Im looking into getting a myrtlezap for my father and I read through all sorts of back and forth arguments about the safety of the brass heating element. From my experience in chemistry and working at water treatment plant that filters out heavy metals there is no reasonable way for the lead to leach out of the brass in the air. The vaporizer does not even come close to the MP of brass at 930 Celsius. Then for the lead to actually go into the air as a vapor it would need to get about twice as hot as the melting point. Its just ridiculous to exclude this vaporizer because of any issue people may have with brass which contains trace amounts of lead.

I also have a very expensive scale at work that can weigh down to 4 decimal places. Its fun to mess around with. You can weigh how much vapor you just inhaled by weighing the crucible (i have an herbalaire) before and after vaping. Although, you have to let is cool down first in a desiccator. You can also watch water evaporate on it.:brow: Im a bit of a nerd

Welcome itriplots, it would be great if you did those kind of experiments and let us know the results.

Thanks for the info on brass/lead. Your reference and comments are appreciated by us and hopefully read by many on this forum. My youngest son must have a job similar to yours. He is a stable isotope lab manager at Washington State University.

Just checked again on the 10081/227483 12 volt transformer scene at Jameco. I assure you I AM NOT the special customer they mentioned to you on the 227483. What happened is they have a special customer that ordered thousands(tens of thousands) so they relabeled them to a private label and sold them real cheap. My stumbling on them a few months back should not have happened as they were only supposed to be for that customer. In the meantime I have bought a few hundred since then. So I call again today(just got more last week)to inquire and she says "no, that is a 10081". So we have a long conversation with me reminding her I have been buying since 2001, at times in 1000pc quantity. She says....."oh. this one is such a mess!" Long story short, I am to be contacted by a sales rep soon. We will see what we can do. The gap between $2.60 ea and $9.95 is too big to just let it go and be thankful for what I already have. I have a gut feeling the big customer has possibly left them with excess inventory. If we can continue to get them at the lower price, we will pass that on to FC customers plus our shipping and Paypal fees. Update soon.
And we do have 13.5 volters with our price set. They are pricey and heavy. Email me if interested.

I finally updated my review/comparison in the lounge if anyone want to see it.

I do really like my 13v plug Rik. I think the 13.5v might be damn near perfect, hard to know if it would be overkill till i used one. Might order, but not truly needed. Rik, my butterfly diffuser broke where the top was welded or attached to the base cylinder. I was starting to really like your aroma oil too... What can I do or do you just want me to shoot an email? Thanks.

Rik any heat resistant epoxy i can use or anything? Where would you suggest grabbing the butterfly refused to remove it? Unplug, wait to cool down, then remove by grabbing base? can't think of another way to avoid it breaking again....

True Madcap. Save the cleaning solution too - if you use Everclear like I do. Let the juice evaporate on a plate or something and scrape it up with a razor blade. Some good buzz there.

Once again, the name is RICK. Thank you. Zaplady also says, again, it is a Dragonfly, not a butterfly.
The instructions say to remove the flower by the STEM, not the flower portion. We do it all the time here in Zapville with no problems. Unit always on. The flower stem will be hot so maybe a glove would help or a pair of pliers. We can do it barehanded but we have lots of practice.

The flower is stuck together with JB Weld. It must be assembled in stages so regular soldering would not work. JB Weld is good to very high temps. Not sure how high but higher than the flower gets. They come apart when people try to pull the Aroma flower off without reading our instructions.

Hey there MadCap. Haven't seen you around in awhile. Glad you are still happy with your Myrtle. Been stirring any shit lately???

If you clean your vap parts in Everclear you can also make a THC beverage.

I did that last weekend and got so high I think I broke my brain. :o

Yep zambonaut - I just made my first batch of Green Dragon from ABV. Had a maybe eight or nine drops of it, dispensed with an eye dropper.

Hello Jesus.

What was the ABV to alcohol ratio, and what was your process?

I just keep a mason jar 2/3 full of Everclear and throw all my vap parts in it when they get gummy.

I have spares on all my parts for the Iolite, Herbalaire, and PD so when they get caked in golden goo they get dropped in the jar. Then I give it a shake or two and leave them there till it's time to switch out.

This had been going on for a year or so and the liquid had gone WAY golden. I took about 2 oz of this liquid and made a big drink with fruit juice for a road trip with my Dad. (he was driving) By the time I drank half the cup I realized that drinking even 1oz of this stuff was overkill. I was WAY too high. Especially to be trying to act normal with my Dad!

I've done mine after only a couple of months, just with cleaning the stems and inside grinder and ive got a good scraping. I put it in the freezer when it was totally evaporated off the small bowl (following tip off fuckcombustion with freezing the whips to scrape)) it was really easy to scrape a nice bit of oil/goo onto a spoon.

Ive been combusting it on avb :o , and it actually made the avb taste ok (normally tastes awful imo)

You can probably tell im out of green at the moment. But this is getting me trashed tonight, time for a little more hehe. :brow:

Rick.... Yes, me breaking the Dragonfly was user error. Tried pulling from the top, instead of base. Sorry for using the wrong name... had you corrected me before? My fathers goes by Rik. So, typed it that way as force of habit. I had 4 MZ stems before work today, and it will be a pure MZ evening. Back at 8am tomorrow on my "day off", being on salary is great for consistent money, but not so great for days off... oh well. At least i'll be zapped out, great temp for a morning vape. peace.

I do understand. I believe Rik is the Norwegian spelling of the name.
Our instructions do need to be better for sure. That will happen in the near future along with a few other changes here in Zapville.
Glad to hear you are working alot in todays economy. It is getting rough out there for sure.

You just may get it by Turkey Day. We have built an extra or two over the last week. One of them matches your request(if you just ordered today) so we can ship it tomorrow(Monday).
Thanks for the order
