Do Air Ionizers Really Work?

I'm looking to buy a air ionizer to help kill the herb aroma but not sure what to look for. I do all my Dabs/Vaping in the basement and it seems like the smell travels upstairs (that's what the other half says). Any suggestions on what to get would be most helpful...

You could get a vape buddy or vape buddy jr. If your in a pinch a toilet paper roll and fabric softener sheets always worked decent back in the day.

the best room air filter i ever used was from a hydro/gardening store.

its 3 parts: a carbon scrubber filter can ($130), a high CFM fan to fit ($65), and a fan speed controller ($20)

this set-up basically cured my allergy related sleeping problems

I have to vape in the basement as well...
What i did was to get a cheap grow room fan, some piping and fashioned it into a duct straight outside!
I can vape like a fiend and no one knows!

Moving soon so will have to come up with a new solution!

I made a toilet paper sploof involving aquarium carbon filter pellets and dryer sheets. Worked great. But then I opened up my container of goodies and all smell broke out. Herb is one strong smell. Good imo, but I know waaaaay too many people that don't like it.
