I mean, a spliff does burn better with 'bacco in it.

I never understood why people thought it burned better but where I live a "spliff" is mixed with tobacco and a "Joint" was straight herb, my joints always smoked like a cigarette so I never saw a reason to add tobacco too, and even though i smoke cigs it never seemed right to taint the herbs like that.

i'd like to attribute scarcity and not liking to waste herbs on friends to the mixing cult. i think deep down nobody likes to share the expensive herbs, in spite of claiming the social nature of smoking a joint in a group. :) when i rolled, i rolled slim joints with the tobaco percentage kept to the minimum. some didn't like the taste, i can't figure out why. thick joints with a lot of tobaco make me want to vomit.

But it does. Tobacco has to deal with the glycerine and other stuff added to keep it from going dry in the pack. It's too soggy to keep burning (as you find when rolling pipe tobacco...), so nitrates (like Saltpeter) are added to keep the fire going and dampen your ardor.....

Besides which, the guys that make and sell ciggies don't want them going out in the ashtray, they think you deserve a fresh one each time.

No doubt a major part of it at several levels. Adding nicotine to the mix has it's fans at other levels too. After a fling with pipes early on, smoking tobacco lost it's appeal to me. Too many guys going to the happy hunting ground too soon coughing and hacking all the way. For a lot of years I was glad smoking herb was less hard on you, but when vaping came along the light went on. The worm turned for sure.

While I no longer smoke herb even, I gave up on tobacco many years before, for reasons that seem even more sound today. That stuff will kill you, no lie.

Actually Now we only have FSC's or Fire Safe Cigarettes(self extinguishing) here, if you don't keep puffin' they go right out. I am phasing 'em out of my life as we speak, it is a useless and nasty habit.

Edit; it is the paper that's self extinguishing not the tobacco itself.

Thank you everyone for the congratulations!! I couldn't be any happier.

We have the self extinguishing cigs here too. Get caught up in a conversation and the bastard goes out on you. Luckily that's a thing of the past for me.

I had thought about cleaning and bringing vapman with me but the risks far out weighed the reward. Plus I have kinda been looking forward to a week long t-break. The last time I didn't consume for a whole week was about 6 - 7 years ago and that was because of a holiday too.

It's just too hard to stay away from something as beautiful as the vapman!!

In my experience on both sides of the pond, I think that the European style spliff with tobacco really goes back to when hash was the only way to acquire cannabis.

In the 80's and really 90's,I never saw any flowers in Europe, so you had to blend with something. And being the weird apes that we are, we tend to stick with something long after it is obsolete because that's the way we always did it.

In fact, at this moment, I wish I had a pinch of some European rolling tobacco, as a hash/tobacco Vapman might be tasty for one single session. Remember, I'm the guy who, when he discovered someone in Washington selling honest to goodness imported Moroccan hash in a legal state, went out and bummed a cigarette so I could roll a little hash info the tip of a spliff to relive a youthful experience. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have an unusual need for nostalgia.

I second that explanation!

Smoked hash since the age of twelve, smoked weed for the first time at around 16/17...

I still mainly vape import hash, which is one of the main reasons I love the Vapman. It makes the hash vaping experience so easy! Most American vapes are made for either weed or full melts...

I used to roll spliffs with dried out organic additive free tobacco, but I wouldn't think it tastes good in the Vapman honestly. I imagine it to be rough in the throat. Have any one tried vaping tobacco in the Vapman? Also I think it would be a mess with that small bowl.

When I started vaping I was considering mixing tobacco and hash to make hash vaping easier.

Herb is actually still rarer and more expencive than good hash here. A lot of the kids think herb is automatically better since they see it on Entourage or in Whiz Kahlifa's vlog whatever, but they end up smoking horrible seedy bushweed instead of delicious spicy hashish haha  I tell them their idols would go for the hash, not the shitty weed, but you all know the kids don't listen hehe

@NorVape and the reason I know that I really did buy Morooccan hash in Washington State was because I bought it from a Moroccan who doesn't understand that if it is a pretty normal thing in Morocco and if it is legal here, that it is still illegal for him to have it packed inside his shipments of imported Moroccan wares.

Not to mention that this little chunk of hash reeks of turmeric! When I was in Spain near Gibralter, all the hash we had there smelled exactly the same. Interestingly, my naturopathic doctor just put me on a Turmeric supplement because it is a rather potent anti-inflammatory, and one that I can take insted of the NSAIDS that are forbidden for me. While I know that they almost always adulterate the hash with stuff like turmeric and camel shit, they may have unwittingly been formulating very nice herbal medicine with multiple pain killing properties.

And to keep this right on topic. . . . . . . ..Vapman.

@NorVape do think one of the reasons your crucible came detached is because you use lots of screens and hash .. this puts extra pressure on the fixings? I have tried this method and noticed that it was more difficult to twist the vm together. Maybe @vapman can enlighten us?

I know for sure the reason is me not being careful when getting the screens out. Hash makes them more sticky than oil, so they don´t just fall out. My advice is using tweezers to avoid putting to much pressure on the crucible.

That happens to me a lot especially when i use for a week or 2 with out cleaning...but when that happens i heat the vapman up pull the screens out with tweezers and dump them in alcohol and i then run a few flower sessions and let that resin vape with the flowers...after all that i wipe the vapman down and shes good as new and then i can run another 2 weeks or so.

on a different note...i have noticed that my concentrate screens are a little discolored now..even after soaking in alcohol and then flaming with the torch...i would say they are just seasoned very well but i wanted to know if any others are experiencing this and whether or not i should change them out.
@vapman what are your thoughts??

Got my VapMan classic from Randy @PIU and some screens arriving today from @M0J0! I highly recommend both sellers. Excellent customer service and great people. Infintyvm.com is @M0J0 website. I highly recommend that people support our fine communty! So far I have only used the VapMan twice. It is much smaller than I anticipated and very well made and beautiful in its design. I need to get my technique down, but I see myself really enjoying this beautiful little vape! I'll post more after some time with her.

Turmeric works when it is heated... capsules are way less effective that dumping turmeric into your eggs, or making turmeric tea or coffee... stir into soup, etc.

Vapman works best when heated, too. There, on topic. ;)

I'd keep that tidbit of insight away from the bride if I were you, lest you find out first hand how expensive divorce is in Fiji.

Imagine it, your main rival is a handful of wood and metal from the other side of the world.......

Enjoy this time, the memory has to last a lifetime.

My screens have been dark and discoloured from the first time i smeared them with hash, but they´re clean. I use ISO and/or torching. I really think the old school hashes are harder on the screens, due to all the sticky plant matter.

...at some point some might want a vapman as a custom couple set for weddings instead of rings. :)
Better still as Bride and Groom gifts?......

Thanks for the words of wisdom @OF. Luckily she supports all of the things I do :)

I think a medicated vapman shaped wedding cake would have gone down a treat!

You're welcome. "she supports all of the things I do" (and the other way about) is the only way it really works IMO. Since all things and people change over time, it's a given neither of you will likely be 'the one I married' to the other. She was changing before you met her, she's sure to continue to do so, same as you. So, in the long run, the only chance is your both continuing to change in a compatible and mutually supporting manner......but it sounds like you already knew that.

Best wishes to you in Paradise.
