Cool Music to Vape to - Part 2

Ive seen BTBAM many times. I used to be in that scene and played with many bands. I may have given out too many clues to my identity.

Nice! Don't worry, I don't think I'm too close to guessing! Of course I didn't even think about trying to hide my ID here when I joined almost six years ago and now I really don't care. (When the staff at Firefly knew who I was after my first order, I figured I was way out in the open.) I'm too old to care, and legal anyway.

Although, if you have anything to do with beheading cows, maybe I do know who you are.

Only saw BBTAM once, two years ago opening for Coheed (my favorite band on the planet). Been a fan for years but kept missing em....walked in during their final chord when they opened for Opeth and Dream Theater in 2008. D'oh!

OK while I'm here....

I have a lot of respect for Coheed. I saw them for the first time in '02 when a buddy of mine introduced me to them. I miss those days.

Cool music to vape to... would that include a video of Siouxsie and the Banshees (when Robert Smith of The Cure was still with them)? It's a video entitled 'One pill makes you larger' and would seem to have some potential (the vid is just below the couple of paragraphs of preamble)...

Some of the background info from the website:
I saw Siouxsie & The Banshees’ Play At Home Channel 4 television special when it originally aired in 1984, and as a rather enthusiastic aficionado of LSD at the time, it was immediately apparent to me that this trippy trip down the rabbit hole was a program made for acidheads, by acidheads. No other drugs could explain this one! I’d have to say that this was probably in the top five of the very oddest things I’d ever seen on network television at that point. I can’t imagine what “normal” people must’ve made of it at the time.

The Play At Home series offered four musical acts—New Order, Echo and the Bunnymen, Virginia Astley and the Banshees, during the period that Robert Smith of The Cure was in the band—an hour of TV to do pretty much whatever they wanted. When they saw what the Banshees cooked up, I’m sure the execs were both thrilled and nervous (What happened to Channel 4 over the years???).

The Banshees’ Play At Home episode was finally released as a DVD extra on the reissue of the 1983 Nocturne

concert film in 2006. Note inclusion of music from side-projects The Creatures and The Glove. Longtime Banshees producer Mike Hedges makes an appearance as the Queen of Hearts and Annie Hogan, once Marc Almond’s musical collaborator, can be seen as the Doormouse.

ABSOLUTELY!

I always heard it called "At Play with Siouxsie And The Banshees" but yeah, awesome. Some of the sound work includes noises i think i'd only ever heard on acid.

I'll just leave this here on my way out..

So a buddy got Morrisseys autobiography as a birthday gift. He spent a year trying to read it and made it to page 65 saying 'he makes my head hurt with all that whining'. So anyways I'm in hospital last year and buddy brings me a care package... an orange and Morrisseys autobiography "Almost new"...

I made it to page 200 yesterday. It gets much easier to read after page 100 (before that it's a death march...) and now I'm at the part where he shreds record companies, and very nicely! I guess he's a writer after all... But I digress, as usual...
