Discontinued The Herbalizer

Sinclue

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
Well, not so happy 4/20 to us Herbalizers.

I've just been trying to decided if I need to send mine in and now it looks grim.

Don't suppose you'd care to share some addresses of the folks that are screwing us? I imagine several of us have some opinions of their actions we'd like to share with them.

Wow, I just checked the Herbalizer Facebook page, and they are having a 4/20 sale, $150.00 off. People are so happy to be getting such a great deal, but have no idea they will have zero warranty service. :disgust:

Sorry to hear that @Engineer . It has been a wild ride. Don't let this stop you. Thank you for allowing the FC community and myself a part in your vision. I still think you're next project will be bigger and better. Please PM me if you want to talk.

If they actually do pull the plug within a couple of weeks... this is a pretty sleazy way to go out.

Maybe or maybe not. This is, my favorite Vape and might be my only way to have one even knowing the circumstances behind this. It is sleazy though

Apologies to anyone offended for my inability to blindly go along and believe all that I read here on FC...
and @Engineer you are a personal friend, and I look up to you a great deal.
BUT--->
Local rumor has it that it will be business as usual, and that all the bankruptcy B.S. is merely a guise that some less than scrupulous individuals cooked up to get their way.
(measuring dicks!)
From all that I understand (and I will NOT expound), business.... growth/developement... and WARRANTY will go on as it has. New units will be produced also.
People within the company will be affected... for sure. Some will lose their desks, and some their shares.
Everyone wants to have the biggest slice of the pie.
Personality conflicts, lawyers, egos, payoffs... and bridges burned.
All this money would not be being offered and spent unless someone
believes (whether delusional or not) that Herbalizer would continue.
Perhaps some of you out there without stakes to lose/gain, or sentimental ties will join me in willing this "local rumor" to be true.

EDIT:I like Josh a bunch and am saddened by how this went down.
The fact that I believe the company will make it does not imply that I hold any respect for those that have allowed themselves to be swept up in the manipulations of corporate legality to buy souls.

I just posted on Herbalizer FB wall and asked:

"Is it true that a shell corp called 1Ready, LLC is dissolving the company and the warranty won't be honored?"

Herbalizer's response:

"Completely untrue. New management and we will be under 1Ready. But the product is not going anywhere and the warranty isn't going anywhere. We're preparing to scale up. More products, more accessories, more everything!!!"

Hmmm. If that's true, then it seems the only reason for the corporation shell game is to steal the shares from @Engineer.

On a lighter note, this post from r/vaporents made me laugh.

It's hard news to swallow, for sure. I'm not sure I could be any gentler with mine, and the prospect of having a non-replaceable/serviceable part let go definitely leaves me concerned. I like this unit a lot. Enough to dip into savings for a spare. But, if the allegations are true, my indignance would sway my willingness support 1Ready.

One side always looks guilty when the other doesn't explain their reasoning. I make decisions in business all the time that would look cold when explained out of context. But I have a company to protect as well as all it's employees and the mouths they feed. We don't really know what happened. If it took 8 months for the take over then there's a reason for it. There was obviously resistance, I understand this was Josh's baby and would expect him to fight but if your no longer part of a company or it's decisions than why allow an outside shareholder? I would have done the same thing as any business man would have. No one shares their assets because their simply being nice.

To be quite candid I too have heard some awful stuff about both Josh and the company. I take no side except Herbies. What happens under the corporate umbrella wasn't meant for us to know. It's a fucking great device, possibly the best ever and it deserves to make it. Regardless of whoever's getting paid for it.

Either way, thanks for bringing the device to the market. It changed everything for me.

The bottom line as I believe it...
is that Herbalizer will go on, and there will be newer versions at a point.
But those that run things may not care about being loved, and potentially might not
be as directly involved with the community.
They perhaps will in the absence of respect settle for the objective non-community involved stance of Markus Storz and Jurgen Bikel who sell Volcano.

We'll get true Herbie 2.0 when Josh decides to release one. It'll just be called something else. Herbalizer must have a great foundation for future products thanks to Josh and others I'm sure, but this recent news regarding Josh and his standing with
The company is so discouraging. Sickening actually.

On a selfish level, I hope I didn't "throw away" $650 on my recent purchase. I want to send it in for service now that I can't use for a while. @Engineer would you suggest I send it in ASAP, or am I risking something by sending it in?

His post said to get it in asap. Now... that is always good advice when getting service on something.

I think that we need to keep our calm here. There are always two sides to a story. It is unfortunate that we don't know the other side straight from that source, but starting to panic is not the answer.

I did not panic, I simply asked if it would be risky to send my property to a company that COULD, from what someone involved mentions, no longer be a thing in the near future.

However, he is no longer involved. So what you are asking for is his opinion; which he has already given.

Why don't you try and contact them directly where you'll get a factual answer. The only thing we know for a fact here is that Josh isn't involved any longer.

@Rush520 your seeking answers from someone who may not know any more than us. He said that himself when he offered contact information for the new powers to be.

Shit, you may even be pleasantly surprised at their response.

I agree with that assessment. Having followed @Engineer's posts and running a small business myself, I was initially very sympathetic to his post. He in fact encouraged us to check directly with Herbalizer to see if what he said was true and to report back what we found because he was very interested. I looked for that part of the post, but I guess it's been edited out (perhaps by a mod who deleted the direct contact info?).

Anyway, I chose to ask this question on Facebook because that is a public forum where anyone can go and verify Herbalizer's response for themselves. I posted their response but nobody has even liked it and only 1 person mentioned it. Even @Engineer who asked us to check with Herbalizer and report their response didn't seem interested.

So here again is Engineer's original statement about warranty, followed by the response that Herbalizer gave on a public Facebook page.

Engineer's claim that warranty will not be honored:

So why am I telling you all this? Well, I am sorry to say that in conjunction with turning Herbalizer into a shell company, they are dissolving the business. This means that Herbalizer is going away. Support is going away. Accessories are going away. And, the Herbalizer warranty will not be honored.

I suspect that by the end of this month your warranty will no longer be valid, if not sooner. And if you do have a warranty problem I suggest you get it serviced immediately if you can!

Herbalizer's Response:

"Is it true that a shell corp called 1Ready, LLC is dissolving the company and the warranty won't be honored?"

Herbalizer's response:

"Completely untrue. New management and we will be under 1Ready. But the product is not going anywhere and the warranty isn't going anywhere. We're preparing to scale up. More products, more accessories, more everything!!!"

Not only did Herbalizer promise that they will honor the warranty. They say they have plans for more products and accessories.

Here we have something similar by a respected FC member that matches what Herbalizer told me:

Local rumor has it that it will be business as usual, and that all the bankruptcy B.S. is merely a guise that some less than scrupulous individuals cooked up to get their way.
(measuring dicks!)

It seems that everyone wants to believe that the sky is falling or something.

Hey, I feel really bad for @Engineer too, and unless I learn more of their side of the story it will probably impact my desire to buy more from Herbalizer. But it seems like the more balanced perspective does support our warranties being honored and business continuing as usual at Herbalizer.

EDIT:

Just went and checked Herbalizer's FB page and they have taken down my question and their answer. I wondered if they might do that so here's the screen shot I took yesterday. Doesn't increase my confidence in Herbalizer that they removed my post though. You can still see the one from Shiloh below my deleted post.

All I wanted to know from Josh is if he thinks I would be risking any loss if I sent my machine to the company. I know he suggests to send it in, but if a company may possible "go away" as he states, I wanted to know if there was risk involved. I feel slightly attacked from these responses but nonetheless I am still keeping my calm lol never did I panic or express any panic simply asked a question.

Let us get back on topic yes?

They would say that even if they planned on shutting their doors tomorrow (so they can get rid of inventory at retail prices before they have to write it off).

Ultimately, time will tell whether @Engineer is playing chicken little or not, but I find it very interesting that their "one day sale" got extended to three days...

I'm not an attorney, but it seems to me that publicly stating your expansion plans when you've already started shutting down business would open a company to a heap of potential legal trouble.
