Am I just enjoying 420 too much or do I not get the point of this. Guess its like a Pax for the concentrates crowd made mostly out of plastic with 510 threading which means I can use it with my W9 "8" vape or any ecig mod. Sort of a gateway vape for Pax users just getting into concentrates. Plus all the benefits and bragging rights of an Indiegogo campaign. Is there a performance angle here or is it sort of like a regular pen vape or Omicron perhaps covered in a plastic sheathing?

Took a bit to find anything review related on this since it's a crowdfunded thing and not final. I like how it has a removable battery and the ability to make it personalized. My big thing is trying to find a nice portable for concentrates and my cartridges that doesn't suck to use and die after a few weeks. This thing at least doesn't look like an e-cig per se...at least from the images and video on their sites. Kudos to ANY company that doesn't source a eGo/EVOD pen, print a logo and claims it's something different!

It just me, or is the PAX the only vape company using current design methods in vapes like say an Apple or BMW in their products? I think that is a huge reason for PAX's success as it's been discussed it's not entirely the "best" dry herb portable. These guys seems to be coming at it from a similar product angle in terms of looks and function combined.

fft, yea it doesn't look like a huge technical leap but the larger battery(than most 650-950mAh eGo/EVOD) capacity and charger are nice in my opinion. Looks like they added a dry herb attachment and more info since 420...Definitely considering getting the $79 wax/oil perk as it's just a little higher cost than a standard eGo/EVOD kit and has more to offer all around. Praying this wont disappoint as much as my current pens have, but like all crowdfunded projects the proof is in the pudding....mmmm pudding :ko:

Hello FC Community!

It's been quite an adventure for Lifted Industry. We're a company made up of vaping enthusiasts with a very particular set of skills. In all honesty, we're a group of guys looking to make a difference for the casual vaper. What we are looking for is your feedback. We want to know if you think what we are doing is something you'd be a fan of.

We created a vaporizer for convenience sake. We wanted something that does almost everything. We were sick of having multiple devices, various weird chargers, and multiple random parts that only work for single devices.

We have created Rize. A portable vaporizer that can do e-juice, oils / waxes, dry herb, and 510 carts. On top of that, we made it battery swappable. It comes with a nice 1100 mAh battery which you can swap out without having to replace a whole battery unit and housing. You can also charge with micro USB! I don't know about you, but I have micro-ucb chargers everywhere! So easy!

I'm not going to give you the full on sales pitch. I'm just hoping you'll check out our indiegogo page and let me know what you think. Our goal is to make casual vaping easy, affordable, and stylish. Check out the link below and let us know what you think!

Thank you!!!

I was slightly interested until you mentioned indiegogo. Do you have a working prototype? Evidence that it can indeed perform all the tasks you mentioned?

edit $10 for a sticker? lol

manufactured where?
released when?

Your page is slick but you have presented digital renderings and not demonstrated that you have a working unit.

Will this still be released if the indigogo fails and when if so? The dry herb chamber say's quick heating quick to me that is like my Elevape sv instant. I have my doubts it is tho could you clarify exact heat up time? I also think it need's to be 30watt minimum for us sub ohm lovers, You would also have the ability to throw a Yocan Beta on it if you raised the wattage. I really think you should raise it.

I do like that you can put your own tank's on this one, And the battery situation is a plus as well.

I'm curious if the the new terms would disqualify a vaporizer company? This is part of the new terms for the Indiegogo campaigns.

Isn't it kinda...well....big for a portable? I mean, it's looks strangely tall (6.5") Would this fit in a pocket?

I get that it's trying to look sleek and cool like a modern piece of tech (something Pax does real well), but this looks like a lot of plastic parts covering up a fairly conventional looking vape pen/e-cig setup. In fact, it is compatible with a lot of 510 components. You have the bottom (battery), middle piece (ovens), and then a large mouthpiece. Similar to most pen vape setups - just bigger. But does it work better?

How does the dry herb attachment work? I didn't find any close-ups of the inside. Is that tip filled, and what is the capacity? What kind of heating element does it use?

Would love to see a vid showing it filled, used, and cleaned.

We do have a working prototype and are expecting even better ones to demonstrate in 2 weeks with the e-liquid and wax atomizers. We will have a video to post asap! Our product is not easy nor cheap to sample because almost all the parts are custom made but we are working tirelessly to get additional working units for people to review

·Manufactured in China, some parts in the US

·Scheduled release in September 2015

Yes! This will be released if we do not make our goal and we are pushing for a September launch of this year. We do not have exact heating times right now because we are working hard to refine the dry herb heating chamber as we speak and those values are not set in stone. This specific atomizer takes more development time than the e-liquid or wax versions. We are committed to making the dry herb atomizer best in its class for our size and power output. This won’t have the power, or chamber size as a dry herb only vape but this will be a bigger step-up than a Quickdraw/V2 or Atmos dry herb pen style attachment.

Great suggestion on the power! We will have a 15w circuit board which is higher than a standard eGo pen usually at 6-9watts on average. Unfortunately, if we were to bump up to 30 watts we would have to increase the size of our circuit board and the size of the product. We do have plans for a larger Rize coming next year with a 18650 cell and a LCD with greater control over power and temperature.

We have several 3D printed and factory samples that we have tested and I have kept this in my pocket daily and it fits well. We have received this feedback too and are working to reduce the size of the mouthpiece to shorten the overall height.

The plastic covering the atomizer helps to protect the tank in the event of a drop or impact. It also serves to guard against any heat transfer and gives a finished look to the product. We are currently looking into offering a metal version of the atomizer cap for a more solid feel as well. Yes the architecture is conventional but we really were inspired to create something new in terms of the user experience in some of these ways below that warranted a slightly larger unit:

·Our studies showed that users enjoyed the wider form factor and solid feel as it didn’t feel like a cheap, thin e-cigarette

·We incorporated a larger sized button so that it is easier to fire with a normal sized thumb whereas current buttons are small and often sharp. We moved the LED indicator above the battery too so your finger doesn’t cover the light like many standard vape pens.

·The unique ability to customize the removable battery cover does make the size slightly larger in width and that is a tradeoff we made to allow users to make the Rize more personal.

·One big concern was to design the Rize so it wouldn’t roll off a table and that it would stand securely upright in, or out of the charging dock. This was a big feature and we made it a square form factor because of this. If we made it round the overall size would decrease but we would lose this key feature. We are doing everything to ensure before mass production that we slim this down as much as possible and that no space is wasted internally.

·The atomizer cap does increase the width too but that is another tradeoff to having a finished look that also protects the tank.

·Since we have a removable battery this also means that the size must be increased to allow for the extra wall thickness for the battery cover. Our users like how you can identify the battery and replace as needed, saving the cost of buying another pen battery that will eventually fail. You won’t have to throw away perfectly working electronics if your battery goes out!

Because of our testing, custom PCB/circuit board with more power, charging dock and replaceable battery, etc. we believe it will work much better than your average vape pen.

We are working hard to solidify the dry herb attachment and perfect the quality of vapor for our size and power. We will be releasing photos and more detailed specifications of this atomizer soon! We could have easily used off the shelf parts and cobbled a simple dry herb attachment like many of competitors but if you are like me, those solutions are cop outs just to say they do dry herb. We want to perfect this 510 dry herb atomizer so it is something solid and works well with the rest of our custom tooled parts.

Here is a pic of one of the prototypes in hand to give you an idea of the size.

Just curious, but when you named your vape the "Rize", did you know that there is already a desktop vape called the "Rise" by Vapir?

I was just going to post this question as well. When I first saw the title of this thread, I was a bit confused that another company was using the same name, even though the name is spelled a bit differently.

Phonetically, they sound exactly the same which could, no will, cause some confusion in the marketplace.
