the one upside to christie's recent enforcer pose is that he would have to "bust" monsanto for growing weed!
Now THAT would be rich. Christie is a bully with too much baggage from Bridgegate. He is also pissing on the third rail of politics by discussing entitlement reform with means testing attached. If he is stupid enough to run for president it will be an epic fail. The great state of NJ is his destiny and I do not worry about him leaving there, in fact, I hope he stays there forever.

‘Monster Marijuana’ to Become Reality as Monsanto Patents GMO Pot

MonsantoMarijuana041815.jpg

As if Monsanto hasn't done enough damage to nature, the mega-biotech company announced it had patented the first genetically modified strain of marijuana.

News alert: Monsanto, we don't want your "franken-joints!"

Last week Monsanto announced that it had patented the first genetically modified strain of marijuana. This news has far-reaching consequences for drugs policy, since cannabis is still an illegal substance. Many believe Monsanto’s interest in the market must mean that full legalization of the drug for recreational purposes is on the horizon, but at what cost?

This Next News Network video from February last year accurately predicted that Monsanto would try to cash in on the cannabis industry, and asks: Would you smoke GMO pot, or would you prefer to smoke nature’s finest?

What is amazing to me is that she ever got this job in the first place! I remember watching a video where she was asked repeatedly about the differences between weed (with well-documented medical uses) versus substances like meth or heroine, and all she could respond was "all illegal drugs are dangerous" over and over, as if the status of being illegal CAUSED it to be dangerous. What an idiot!

I wonder who she blew for the job? I mean.... I wonder what qualified her to begin with?

Nevermind. Bush appointee. She must have known somebody. How long do you think it will take to appoint and get someone in place to replace her? 2017?

Fixed it, because your first explanation makes more sense

This is from the NY Times article regarding Mrs Lionheart.

I encourage the president to use this as an opportunity to fill this important role with someone who understands the outdated federal approach to marijuana isn’t working,” said Representative Earl Blumenauer, Democrat of Oregon. He added: “The American public has moved on. Most now feel marijuana should be legalized.”

Ms. Leonhart’s impending departure after eight years in the top job follows a hearing last week in which lawmakers on the House Oversight Committee expressed outrage about her handling of reports that D.E.A. agents in Colombia had participated in sex parties with prostitutes paid

Even as Mr. Obama expressed guarded support for allowing states to experiment with legalizing marijuana, Ms. Leonhart has remained a staunch opponent. She refused during a 2012 hearing on Capitol Hill to say whether she believed that marijuana was less dangerous than crack cocaine, methamphetamine or heroin, saying that “all illegal drugs are bad.”
